Please read this if you're planning on taking your car here: I first took my car here a year ago because Jose seemed very friendly at the Mexican restaurant in front. Took in my car for an engine mount. They replaced it, no problem. I was happy to know I had a neighborhood auto shop to count on. So then I referred my brother in law. His car wouldn't start. He took it in and they claimed to have fixed it, he paid $800, so he drove it off the lot and it wouldn't start the next day. He took and back and they said it must be something else and is going to cost more to now do a diagnostic and throw more money into it. He had a bad experience and had to take it somewhere else to drain his pockets even more. Then today happened. I took my car in because some belt has been squealing every time I start the car. So I asked the guy Ramon to look at it, and he ran a quick test. The test said that the engine cleared ok, and the alternator cleared ok. He asked if my engine light was on, I said yes. And he said a diagnostic test would be $65. I remembered I just ran a diagnostic recently and went to go grab my paperwork and come back. When I came back, Jose was there to ask what I needed. I told him I brought my paperwork back and it only said that I needed a power steering belt because it's gone and ripped off a while ago, but the only thing I wanted to fix was the squealing. He looked under my car and said he needs to run a diagnostic test for $85 but he can't run the test until the power steering belt is replaced. Sound weird? So I'm like, "wait, the other guy told me the diagnostic test is $65, and you're telling me $85. And you're saying you can't run a test until replacing the power steering belt, but they only thing I want to fix is the belt squealing noise. How can the belt squealing noise be coming from the power steering belt if it doesn't exist? Can't the power steering belt be eliminated as the problem if it doesn't exist? Then Jose started getting defensive and accusing me of thinking I know more than them, and proceeded to tell Ramon not to fix my car! Clearly they both gave conflicting information, are trying to charge me up front for diagnostics before really looking and hearing for the problem, and are giving me the run around. On top of all that, whenever I've been in there to get something checked out and asked even 1 question, they try to send me to Auto Zone like they're insulted by questions. It did save me a lot on my car battery at Auto Zone however so thanks for that! Ramon is basically a sponsor for Auto Zone because he's told me twice now to go there. Good partner you have there, Jose. Anyway, make your own judgement call after this. You can give it a shot. If you like getting ripped off, lied to, and won't ask them any further questions about your car before it gets serviced, then this is the right place for you! read more

I just bought a Car to get to work and take my baby to school! the previous owner informed me it vibrates and I need to replace a motor mount. I went to Jose's he made the Motor jump real quick, and said I only needed ONE replaced as other mechanics were telling me I needed more!! I came in with a flat tire, asking for some assistance, at 2:40, and they offered NO HELP! All they could say was that they turned the compressor off and that they had been closed over an hour ago. How am I supposed to know that when the gate is till opened? All of the other places that were 'closed' had the gates closed. They didn't even get up from the desk to see what I needed. I asked if they knew of any other places close, that could help and they said no! What's the purpose of having a business if you don't offer any help! I have no idea what the compressor being turned off, is supposed to mean. Don't you just turn it back on?! But that's A-OK! They have to worry about me spending my money here. I couldn't afford the tow crosstown to my usual mechanic so I had to Yelp it. Maybe I was lucky and caught them on a slow day but there was no wait and they took care of my problem at a reasonable price. It wasn't a big fix (upper radiator hose replacement) but a necessary one. Will definitely come back if I have a problem on the west side again. read more

Jose gave me a choice, to get my own parts and he'd do the work, or he would do everything. I chose to get the parts myself and he installed tie rod ends, upper lower arms, rack and pinnon, bushings. He showed me the newly installed parts and gave the old ones back to me. His labor prices were on par. In and out same day. He's my go to guy. read more

I've been taking all of my cars to Jose for years now recently I've discovered that his Auto Body capabilities are just as exceptional as his car repair abilities my Ford Edge was taken there for work from an accident and the car is a burnt orange color. They repaired and painted the fender and bumper and door and it looks brand new and is totally color matched with the rest of the vehicle which is already 5 years old.
