Always work on my car, gets it done fast and for a price that doesn't break the bank. Haven't had to take a car back for the same problem and never feel like I'm getting cheated. Always take my vehicles here read more

I was told by the owner Pablo that the diagnostic was 89 dollars and that it would go towards the payment of the service. That was a lie. They charged me separately for both and when I asked about it he lied to my face about the cost of the service. So I asked specific questions about that but he didn't answer directly. Then he said the diagnostic charge only goes towards the service if the service costs more than the diagnostic charge which is completely different than what he quoted me initially. I won't be returning because I don't trust shady business owners. I'm grateful to have my car back and everything seems to be working fine. So be careful because they can switch things up on you last minute. read more

Has worked on a Chevy and Jeep for me. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Always does a great job, communicates well and finishes on time. Great shop to have in our neighborhood. read more

we have been coming to Pablo for many years now and we are pleased with his service and affordable prices. Service seems to be his mantra. Once we had a leak in a radiator around 5:30 PM. I called Pablo and he said he would wait for the tow truck to drop off my car. And when you are waiting for a tow truck to pick you up, it seems to take longer than expected. But Pablo waited for me well after closing time. Another time I occasionally heard some rattling in the back of my car. Took it to Pablo, but he could not detect the sound. I took the car back and on certain occasions heard the rattling again. Back to Pablo and he suggested to take a drive together and take him to a stretch of road where I would hear the sound. The sound was most pronounced on a stretch on Stocker Street, we both heard it, Pablo found the problem and fixed it for a good price. I feel Pablo and his team are treating customers with respect and don't try to sell you anything that you don't need. Bert read more

Pablo is the best I highly recommended good price excellent service 5 star anything you need he will take care...

I found PMC almost 10 years ago on Yelp when I used to work in the area for a company. Pablo was highly professional and honest, which helped keep our small fleet of vehicles operating and made my job a whole lot easier. There was mutual trust and I enjoyed hanging out in Pablo's very clean mechanic shop. I live in Northeast LA and when I moved onto another job I will still make the journey to Pablo's shop. There is quality and value in his work, and you have a friend who is willing to help on any car issue. I bought my car new and it is turning 10 years old this year, Pablo has kept my car running perfectly after driving on LA roads and highways. If you are looking for quality service and authentic professionalism from a mechanic Pablo at PMC I would highly recommend. read more

Terrific service! Came because my tire pressure dashboard light was on. I tried to put air on my tires, but the light remained on. Decided to return to PMC because of the great service He provided for my previous car. My rear tire had a nail. A quick repair later & I was back on the road. Thanks so much Pablo. : ) read more

PMC Auto Repair - Tires Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Like many of you, I wait until the last possible moment to take my car in for maintenance. As a daughter of a mechanic back in the Midwest, I should be more ashamed - but hey, dad always fixed things for me. My last trip to Firestone was wrought with embarrassment. My check engine light had been on for months and after it broke down in the middle of Olympic during Friday night rush hour, I decided it was time to see Pablo. He kept my car for the weekend and ran the necessary tests to diagnose my car. They made the changes and I was back in my car by Monday morning. After driving my car around for a few hours, I noticed something still wasn't right, so I gave them a call. They kept it for another half-day and after running tests and making more adjustment, it was as good as new. And he didn't even charge me for the additional repairs. It's hard to find a good "neighborhood" mechanic in LA and I feel fortunate to have found these guys. They're honest and as nonjudgmental as you can get when someone neglects their car as badly as I do. read more

I came in for a tune-up and to fix a check engine light problem, was expecting it to cost an arm and a leg since my car had over 100k miles and I had never gotten a tune-up in the 6 years since I bought it used with 56k miles. Pablo did a great job, it costed much less than I thought it would and my car is running like it did years ago!!! Big thanks!! read more

Fantastic on all levels. Cleanliness, professionalism, and reliability. The owner is honest and very trustworthy. He knows what he is doing and was very realistic about the estimated timing and pricing. I have already been back twice!!! read more

I think the Pablo is a great mechanic and pretty honest human being. He has fixed my car two times in which the dealership would have charged me more than $1000 dollars for the services. Well let's begging with the fact that he fixed my A/C for a bit less than $800 whereas in another locations the same issue was quoted for more than $1200. The second time he fixed the ABS sensors knowing that my car was showing the ABS/ VSA and wheel steering sensors on the dashboard. When I took it to him, he told me that he would make sure to fix it and no worry about the quote. I was expecting to pay around $300 and $150 but I know that if I had took it to a dealership it would have costed me more than $600 dollars. Definitely a place to leave your car in great hands! read more

I bought a 2008 Dodge Avenger for a cheap price on the Internet, I bought it knowing it had some issues. One of them being the front bearing and the oil lamp keeps coming on, and making rumbling noises. Pablo did an excellent Job and on the same day after only 1 and a half hours i could pick my car up without any noise or problems. I payed around 600 dollars after tax for the front bearing replacement, which is giving the condition of the front bearings and the good service a fair price. Pablo was being straightforward and honest with me from the beginning, so i definitely recommend this repair shop! read more

Great customer service and was an easy experience. Pablo got my cousin's car done quickly and you can tell he isn't the type to try and take advantage of customers. Definitely recommend !! read more

I went to Pablo's shop because I was told that he does reliable work, and charges fair prices. The first time I went to his shop I pulled in, and was completely ignored until I said hello. That was the first red flag. Pablo gave me a quote (for a turn signal replacement) and it was fair but I just didn't have the money at the time and had to wait to come back. The second time I came back (I still needed the turn signal replacement, and now my horn wasn't working AND was not welcomed nor did he acknowledge that I was standing there with nobody around) he quoted me $100 more to fix the horn as well since he would already have the steering wheel off to replace the turn signal. After my car was done, I arrived at the shop and he pointed to the cashier station saying "I need you to sign those papers" Once again no greeting (I'm not even needing it to be friendly at this point). I told him I wasn't comfortable signing anything until I looked at my car. And he said verbatim "why does it matter if you look at the car you're still gonna have to pay me anyways" At this point I had had enough of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I walked to my car to check it, and the turn signal was safely attached and it worked but the horn did not. I asked him why he charged me $100 more to look at a part that didn't even get fixed. He blatantly lied in my face and told me $100 more was for an original turn signal. This was never discussed. I called him out on it, and he tripped over his words, he also mentioned that he didn't remember me asking to look at the horn. He was so manipulative and lied straight to my face. I walked away, telling him that he could keep the hundred dollars and I hope that he would bless his family. Do you yourself a favor and take your hard earned money elsewhere. I wouldn't send anyone to him simply because of his arrogance and horrible customer service. I would give 0 stars if I could! read more

Complete over charges and is not willing to work with repeat customer. Please take business else where if you value quality service.

I needed new motor mounts for my car badly and although I wanted the mechanic to go ahead and replace all of them, he would ONLY replace the ones that truly needed it and he showed me the damage and the replacements. Honest mechanics are as rare to find as a consistently good hair stylist and I'm grateful to have found this place! read more

I'm always worried about going to mechanics because some like to take advantage of women. I saw their reviews and it's not too far from home so I stopped here. I got great, honest service and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks so much! read more

Thanks a million + more to PMC auto! The crew will not only make sure your bearings have grease - they will double check things for free (while getting an oil change) and let you know about how much time you got until you need to swap something out! Been patronizing this shop since 2013. All great experiences with Pablo and team. Professional staff, fair prices and great communication!

My fiancé needed a repair close to where her car broke so she brought it here to Pablo's shop. Greatest thing that could've happened! Finding an honest, reliable mechanic is like finding a great doctor. And he's just the best. I've been bringing my 01 Tacoma here for about 2 years and always leave happy. Great prices, great service, never feel taken advantage of. They do everything from oil changes to tires to full engine work. PMC will be my last mechanic shop no matter where I move read more

Great service and quick. My 2003 Yukon died on me. The mechanic I was going to gave me an outrageous price then told me to sell it and he would buy it off me for a good price. I brought it in and they diagnosed it and fixed it it was a dirty fuel filter read more

As painless as spending $350 on brakes can be. I got an estimate in about 15 minutes, walked to Ross and spent 45 minutes trying on cheap jeans that I didn't purchase but that at least allowed me to delusionally believe I am still a perfect itsy-bitsy size (cheap jeans run bigger than designer, I swear), walked back and paid, and drove off in my lil car with brakes that no longer squeak. I needed back tires too, and Pablo was very helpful in discussing my options and which services/parts should be prioritized. I will return there when I get tires in a couple months as suggested. read more

Pablo and his team lived up to their reputation on Yelp. After recently moving from Koreatown to Inglewod, I needed to find a new go-to mechanic to service my cherished 85' Toyota Pickup. My truck needed an oil change and a tune up. After a short wait, Pablo called me and told me without much surprise that is was in great condition and could use some new struts and alternator belt in the future. Professional, experienced and delivering that most-precious currency you need in a mechanic: trust; I drove away feeling completely satisfied and plan on heading back soon for new struts and a belt. read more

I love Pablo! As a woman in LA it's tough to find a mechanic you can trust. I needed some pricey work done and shopped around when he was still at Firestone on La Cienega near my home. He was the only mechanic that made me feel comfortable and had reasonable prices. I've been a loyal customer ever since and refer my friends. I was a bit skeptical of following him to the new location, but he saved me hundreds once again and deterred me from unnecessary repairs. Great prices, honesty and great service. Thank you, Pablo. read more

Pablo is a great, honest guy. Love his attitude and service. We took my brother 1985 Camaro to get a transmission inspection and motor. There was a loud noise when you shift to reverse. He checked the car and found the problem with the transmission and motor. I guess the bolts holding the transmission and motor together where kind of loose. Another thing, the power steering pump was leaking which he fixed and did not charge a penny for it. I really love his attitude the most. In my book attitude and honesty is a 100% to go. read more

I always try to keep a great barber, a doctor, a dentist, a contractor and an auto mechanic in reserve, because you will need one eventually. Pablo is so friendly, efficient and inexpensive that you actually want to do all that "preventive maintenance" you should be doing, rather than waiting for something to go wrong. He been through two cars of mine and kept both of them in mint condition. He's honest and quick to round it out. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this business. It's just excellent, HONEST service. Pablo and his other mechanics are great. I could go on and on, but the fact is if you need a mechanic for anything, you will not find a better place to take your car than Pablo and PMC. You can get your vehicle repaired with honest answers and peace of mind. HIGHLY recommended! read more

I've been taking my car to Pablo since he ran the Firestone on La Cienega. (BTW, the website link above is no longer accurate, since someone else moved into that Firestone after Pablo started his own shop, PMC.) The first time I stopped into the Firestone because it was close to my place. I had just moved to LA so I didn't know where to take my car. Pablo fixed it that time and I had such a good experience that he's fixed my cars for more than 10 years now. He always completes the job on time and quick! 10 years ago, I needed my car to travel from site to site during the work day, so it was very important to have my car back quickly. Most repairs took less than 1 day and since he's open Sat, I didn't have to miss work! read more

Great prices and amazing work. I even got a ride back home one day while they were working on my car. Very fast service and really really good prices. read more

I have been going to Pablo for years, and I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. After my last car was pronounced dead or needing $2000 worth of repairs by the dealer, Pablo kept it going with minimal repairs for another two years. Every time something needs to be replaced, Pablo explains everything clearly, and shows me the difference between the new part and the old part. Even when I feel like I'm asking a hundred questions, he is extremely patient and thorough. I bought a used car a few years ago, and took it to Pablo to be checked out before buying, because I trust him implicitly. With my most recent car, I've continued to have nothing but fair, fast, honest service with very good prices. I'm (finally) compelled to write a review because yesterday I went in, armed with a list of 8 or 9 things, from an oil change to squeaking brakes to a nagging whine when I turned the steering wheel sharply. In just a few hours, everything was fixed, and they even topped off my wiper fluid. Not only that, the alignment guys I go to had recently tried to bully me into getting new front tires, using scare tactics to try to get me to buy immediately. Luckily I waited to get the real story from Pablo - he didn't just tell me, he showed me my tires and why they could wait another few months. He never tries to up-sell, and if he tells you you need something replaced, you can trust that you need it done immediately. If it can wait, he'll tell you. I can't say enough, seriously, he's the best mechanic in town. Although their number is different now, it's 323-296-1760. read more
