Dr. Rosenberg was amazing from the beginning to the end. Truly amazing. His empathy, compassion, even his calm voice helped me through a very tough moment. While letting go of our dog was the worst day of our lives, Dr Joe helped it make a serene and respectful way to help her find her peace. Every single review on here is spot on and if you have a beloved pet that is declining in health and terminal, he is the one you will want to go to when it's your pet's time. It took me a few weeks for me to write this review, due to the emotions attached to reliving the experience. But I had to recommend Dr. Rosenberg for allowing my precious pup to truly go in peace while in the comfort of her own home. He has a special gift for making the whole painful process somewhat easier...very soft spoken, thoughtful and patient with our questions and dealing with the whole end of life procedure. Mochi was my support dog at the height of my health problems. She was also my big sissy's therapy pet when she underwent chemo for 2 years and was the only creature Ev recognized in hospice hours before she lost her battle with cancer. She brought comfort, happiness and laughter...she was adored by everyone she met. This is what made it so difficult to let her go. We didn't rescue her...she rescued us. Due to an enlarged heart and other health issues, our vet told us that she didn't have much time left. The amount of stress we went through deciding if we should euthanize her or not was physically and emotionally draining...but we needed to end her pain and suffering and not think of ourselves. Dr. Rosenberg has a very calming nature about himself which helped to put all of us at ease. He explained the procedure that would take place...first the anesthesia to put her to sleep, then the final injection. I was crying and hysterical, especially before the 2nd shot but he covered my view with his hand to help soften the blow for me. And then she was gone...peacefully. He gave us as much time as we needed to grieve before taking her little body away. He even had tears in his eyes himself. When he left with Mochi, he drove away so slowly and with so much care. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rosenberg. It is never an easy decision to make but please consider him for services when it comes time for your pup to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Go in Peace, perfectly named. My husband and I on July 20th 2024 made the difficult decision to help our sweet Emma Mittens cross the rainbow bridge. Emma was an adorable long haired orange polydactyl furbaby (kitty) that we had the honor of being her human parents for almost 20 years. She was so incredibly special to us. We dreaded this day, but knew it was coming as she started struggling to ambulate. Dr. Rosenberg responded promptly when I called and scheduled and was very flexible with scheduling, even on short notice with it being a weekend. We knew we wanted to do home euthanasia as we didn't want to cause any unnecessary stress on Emma. (So glad we choose home euthanasia) Dr. Rosenberg was thorough in explaining the process, very compassionate and understanding through the whole appointment, and gave privacy in between sedation/euthanasia so we could comfort our cat. Everything we requested was met with no pushback. Although we will grieve this passing for a long time, I can't express in words how grateful we are that our baby went gracefully and peacefully at home in her favorite sunbathing spot outside. It has given us great comfort in knowing she went peacefully and with grace. Before the euthanasia Dr. Rosenberg assessed Emma to make sure she was adequately sedated and unresponsive to pain prior to starting the IV, she truly did not suffer at all. It was a beautiful passing. Even after passing her body was treated with respect, and was handled very compassionately. We opted for cremation. Less than 2 weeks later Dr. Rosenberg delivered her ashes in such a thoughtful presentation with some unexpected surprises. We cried when seeing the beautiful box, the paw print mold with stand, ink paw print, bag of hair clippings, engraved name tag, grief pamplets and a beautiful rainbow bridge poem.
