Let me set the scene. I've got high-needs kids, and one of them regulated off our old Lab like that dog was a licensed therapist working pro bono. So you can imagine how it went when the day came and the vet showed up. My kid lost his entire mind. Out of body, out of his shoes, screaming like a banshee that just stubbed its toe. Full meltdown, code red, all hands on deck. And Dr. Joe? Didn't flinch. Cool as the other side of the pillow. Matter-of-fact, not a drop of fake sentiment, just steady and professional while my house turned into a category five. That's the whole game right there. You pay for the white glove, sure, we got the white glove. But the bedside manner is the actual product. He took an absolutely terrible day with our old girl and made it something we could survive. And that's gold. I don't spend money to chase the highs in life. I spend it to sand down the brutal edges. That's exactly what Dr. Joe did. I sincerely hope I don't need his services again any time soon. But when that day comes -- and it comes for all of us -- he's the man I'm calling. read more

We recently called Dr Joe the other day as my best boy was quickly and unexpectedly passing. Although we ultimately elected another service (recommended by Joe) as they had more immediate availability and time was of the essence, it was clear from our conversation that he deeply cared and legitimately made every effort to accommodate on such short notice. My wife and I would both like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness in my darkest hour will not be forgotten. Never an easy call to make, but if you find yourself in a similar situation I strongly recommend calling Go in Peace read more

Our experience with Dr.Joe from "Go In Peace" was seamlessly perfect for something so incredibly difficult to process. We made the call on a Sunday and he put our beloved family dog down the following evening. Dr.Joe was kind, gentle, respectful, and professional from beginning through the end. Two weeks have passed and Dr.Joe delivered our sweet dog's keepsakes and treasures back to our home. As heart wrenching the time is to make these decisions, our family cherished working alongside Dr.Joe in the privacy of our own home. I sincerely recommend Go With Peace, and Dr. Joe's services 100 percent! Thank you! read more

Dr. Joe Rosenberg was compassionate, understanding, kind, patient, and so gentle with our sweet 16 year old dog as he helped him pass peacefully. His explanation of the process (and the options for cremation/ashes) over the phone and also in person was clear and easy to understand. Dr. Joe let us take all of the time we needed to say goodbye. He is such a caring person and he thanked us for allowing him to care for our dog during his final moments. It was so good to have our boy at home with us on his last day without the stress of a vet office visit (though we love our vet!). Dr. Joe delivered our dog's ashes to our door himself. We are so thankful that we found him and would recommend him to anyone. Professional, prompt, kind, caring - service above and beyond in every way. read more

Dr. Rosenberg was amazing from the beginning to the end. Truly amazing. His empathy, compassion, even his calm voice helped me through a very tough moment. He was thorough in his explanations but without overwhelming us, and he also allowed us as much time as we needed to grieve without an ounce of pressure to get things moving. I was also absolutely blown away by the package we received less than 2 weeks after we lost our cat. We chose to have him cremated and returned with a wooden box. We didn't expect anything else. But Dr. Rosenberg personally delivered our cats ashes along with a ceramic paw print, a bag with a clipping of his fur, the rainbow bridge poem, and even a package of tissues (because this absolutely made me cry all over again!). All of this was personalized with our cats name, and was so thoughtfully put together. I am truly shocked. I don't even want to think about needing to use his services again, but should that time ever come, I will be contacting Dr. Rosenberg. And I highly recommend him for anyone else in need. We felt very fortunate that our cat was able to have his final moments in peace in his favorite spot in our home. Thank you Dr. Rosenberg read more

We had to say goodbye our to beloved Abby, a Labrador retriever, a few days before Thanksgiving. A friend had recommended Dr. Rosenburg to me and I am so glad I listened. He was truly an answer to a prayer. When we got the diagnosis that our sweet baby girl had cancer all over her bladder and kidneys, I prayed for the answer to know exactly what to do for her and when. I ran into that friend who recommended Dr. Rosenburg at a chance meeting and realized, it was the answer to my prayer. Dr. Rosenburg was everything we needed him to be that night...professional, knowledgable and above all, kind. Baby girl got to leave this world at home in her own bed surrounded by the people she loved and who loved her most. I will be forever in debt to Dr. Rosenburg for helping us give her the peaceful send off she deserved. read more

Our girl had lung cancer, once it was diagnosed she lived about 6 more weeks. It's a hard decision to make, but we're grateful that we could ease her over to the rainbow bridge at home. We have her ashes, a paw print and clipping of hair. Dr Joe arrived on time, was patient and took the time that we needed during the whole process. His package is the most reasonable I think compared to a lot of the others. We'd definitely recommend him to anyone needing to help their pet ease into the next phase. read more

Dr. Rosenberg was outstanding! Very respectful, empathetic and professional. We scheduled a 9:00pm appointment so that my daughter could say goodbye. Thank you Dr. Rosenberg, for your kindness, compassion and reassurance that we made the right decision for our dear Mochi. We were blessed to have had her for 14 years. Every single review on here is spot on and if you have a beloved pet that is declining in health and terminal, he is the one you will want to go to when it's your pet's time. It took me a few weeks for me to write this review, due to the emotions attached to reliving the experience. But I had to recommend Dr. Rosenberg for allowing my precious pup to truly go in peace while in the comfort of her own home. He has a special gift for making the whole painful process somewhat easier...very soft spoken, thoughtful and patient with our questions and dealing with the whole end of life procedure. Mochi was my support dog at the height of my health problems. She was also my big sissy's therapy pet when she underwent chemo for 2 years and was the only creature Ev recognized in hospice hours before she lost her battle with cancer. She brought comfort, happiness and laughter...she was adored by everyone she met. This is what made it so difficult to let her go. We didn't rescue her...she rescued us. Due to an enlarged heart and other health issues, our vet told us that she didn't have much time left. The amount of stress we went through deciding if we should euthanize her or not was physically and emotionally draining...but we needed to end her pain and suffering and not think of ourselves. Dr. Rosenberg has a very calming nature about himself which helped to put all of us at ease. He explained the procedure that would take place...first the anesthesia to put her to sleep, then the final injection. I was crying and hysterical, especially before the 2nd shot but he covered my view with his hand to help soften the blow for me. And then she was gone...peacefully. He gave us as much time as we needed to grieve before taking her little body away. He even had tears in his eyes himself. When he left with Mochi, he drove away so slowly and with so much care. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rosenberg. It is never an easy decision to make but please consider him for services when it comes time for your pup to cross the Rainbow Bridge. We are so thankful we chose him. read more

Dr. Rosenberg is wonderfully kind, patient, and caring and I am truly grateful that he was there for my husband and I when we had to put down our beloved dog. This was our first pet, and he was like a child to me. I am so grateful that he was the one to walk us and our dog through this experience. We received devastating news from our vet, and had to make a sudden decision for our dog, and knew that we wanted to have him pass at home in our arms. Dr. Rosenberg called me back three minutes after I initially contacted him, and was able to come by within a few hours. His calming demeanor was so appreciated, as he walked us through the steps and what to expect. He was incredibly gentle with our pup, who was able to go peacefully, and patient with me when dealing with my crying and questions. He also communicated with me a few days later when I reached out for grief resources - he called me back within a few hours with four resources to use. If you need an in-home euthanasia for your pet, I am so sorry, and I strongly recommend calling Dr. Rosenberg. read more

While letting go of our dog was the worst day of our lives, Dr Joe helped it make a serene and respectful way to help her find her peace. In the months before, when she wasn't doing well, we contacted Joe and he was incredibly helpful to walk us through what to expect. This helped us to be prepared, which i would recommend others to do if you're in a similar situation with an older dog. On the day itself, Joe was tremendously supporting and gave us the time and space for the goodbye we needed. He was also helpful in connecting us with a crematorium that was equally supportive and respectful (Sorrento Valley Pet Cemetery). Letting go of your dog is terrible, but Joe made it an experience that helped us cope with the grief in the best possible way. Thank you Joe read more

Thank you Dr Rosenberg. Last month I had to make the painful yet most loving decision for my beautiful boy. He made it to 15 and although I knew he was in his final months, it's the worst day of any animal lover to have to let go. It's never enough time, that's what they say and no it never is. I was grateful Dr Rosenberg answered my call and came within hours. I appreciate very much how efficient he was. He explained to me the process and gave me has much time has I needed. Our families beloved dog's cancer took over and he needed end of life care. I called Go In Peace at 7:30am on a holiday weekend and Dr. Rosenberg was at our home within a few hours. The level of compassion, empathy and care received to our dog and family was incredible. He took time to explain everything, was respectful of our children's feelings and most importantly gave us as much time with our dog as we needed. A week later he personally delivered our dog's remains to us. These final moments with your loved ones are difficult. Go in Peace, perfectly named. My husband and I on July 20th 2024 made the difficult decision to help our sweet Emma Mittens cross the rainbow bridge. Emma was an adorable long haired orange polydactyl furbaby (kitty) that we had the honor of being her human parents for almost 20 years. She was so incredibly special to us. We dreaded this day, but knew it was coming as she started struggling to ambulate. Dr. Rosenberg responded promptly when I called and scheduled and was very flexible with scheduling, even on short notice with it being a weekend. We knew we wanted to do home euthanasia as we didn't want to cause any unnecessary stress on Emma. (So glad we choose home euthanasia) Dr. Rosenberg was thorough in explaining the process, very compassionate and understanding through the whole appointment, and gave privacy in between sedation/euthanasia so we could comfort our cat. Everything we requested was met with no pushback. Although we will grieve this passing for a long time, I can't express in words how grateful we are that our baby went gracefully and peacefully at home in her favorite sunbathing spot outside. It has given us great comfort in knowing she went peacefully and with grace. Before the euthanasia Dr. Rosenberg assessed Emma to make sure she was adequately sedated and unresponsive to pain prior to starting the IV, she truly did not suffer at all. It was a beautiful passing. Even after passing her body was treated with respect, and was handled very compassionately. We opted for cremation. Less than 2 weeks later Dr. Rosenberg delivered her ashes in such a thoughtful presentation with some unexpected surprises. We cried when seeing the beautiful box, the paw print mold with stand, ink paw print, bag of hair clippings, engraved name tag, grief pamplets and a beautiful rainbow bridge poem. From the bottom of our hearts, we are so happy with how everything went and would definitely use his services again in the future without hesitation..Thank you Dr. Rosenberg for compasionately helping Emma cross the rainbow bridge. read more
