I've recently moved to the other side of town. Finding everything has been a bit of a chore, especially since I have no car. I walked to this place from Winters Dr., wondering if they actually accepted recycling from people, not businesses. From Yosemite Ave., it's just behind the Quik Shop convenience store, along with several other little businesses. I wasn't sure who was working there, but when I saw the scales, I walked closer and one man put his finger up, as to say "please, wait". I put my things in a barrel and waited. There were two customers ahead of me, but it wasn't bad. At least, it wasn't outside in the sunshine. In a few minutes, he asked how many cans I had and I showed them to him and he put them into the container with the cans from the person in front of me. He weighed the plastic and put that into the computer. Then, he gave us each a piece of paper to sign. The amount wasn't as much as I got at the previous place on the other side of town, but I certainly wasn't going to haul my stuff over there. Seems okay. read more

Came here with some scrap metal to get rid of. Don't really care if I get paid for it just wanted it gone. Saw the sign online with the statement 'now accepting all scrap materials'. Come in, start loading up trash cans with metal pipes and what not, just to be told they don't take metal. What the fuck. read more

Dropped off 17 bins worth off recyclables and only got 85 bucks. They rip you off. Staff was also very rude.

Please save your time and look elsewhere!AVOID this place! This was my first time here and will be my last! I wish I would have read the reviews before going. This place is a rip off and total scam! I loaded up 5 bins of plastic bottles and 5 bins of aluminum cans to only receive $43.05. It did not sound right. I did ask him to explain to me and when doing the math it was clear that they ripped me off. They only gave me 60% of what I should have received. I went here to recycle my copper. I have never had a problem before at any other recycle place but this place he was trying to say my new copper was old copper, which was not it even had the plastic caps on it. This guy does not know anything I highly recommend not going to this place they are trying to rip you off. Do not go to this place. This guy was very unhelpful and rude. We got to the recycling place, sorted our bottles/cans for about 10 mins, and waited another 10 mins while the guys worked in the back and didn't acknowledge us.. and we were the only people there. Then.., they weighed our stuff and gave us a slip that said $21.85 on it. Then the same guy walked in the back and pushed $20.26 out of a little window. We normally go to a different place in town, but thought we'd try this one out because it was the only one open on a Sunday. My daughter was super disappointed to only get $20 when we normally get about $40 each time we go. :( this place was ok.. I just prefer Diaz recycling.. read more

Been here twice in the last year - both times were highly unpleasant. 1. They limit how much you can sell but it's unclear what the limit is. If you're over the limit, you cannot sell it so either you pack your stuff back up or just give it away 2. The parking lot is the most unpleasant place - there's no shade and it's always miserably hot. 3. They offer no assistance whatsoever 4. Owner rude 5. Last time they paid me in $5 bills when I had over $100 of recycling It's a shame this is the only CRV center in Tracy - this is the type of facility that turns people against doing their own recycling. read more

I've been going to this place ever since the Manteca Recycling center off moffat closed. I always suspected that I wasn't getting the proper weight and price for CRV aluminum. well I was not going crazy. We weighed the cans at home at 16lbs. When we brought them to these guys it was 11 Lbs. I know that's not going to make a big difference. But if they stiff all the customers. Now that means something. read more

Completely dishonest. I'd say they pocket 25% if not more from each person. I can't even imagine how much they short the elderly and disabled. I went to recycle plastic bottles and cans. They didn't weigh the bottles, just the cans. Never said a word to me. Just gave a receipt for 10.25. And had me sign. How can they justify the price without weighing the large plastic bins with bottles in it. I don't think they gave me the right amount for either cans or bottles. I won't go there anymore. Don't go here. As I was walking in someone tried to tell me to go somewhere else, I should have listened but I did not. I am an Electrician and I brought about 200 pounds of wire. I would give the exact weight but they dont provide the weight I got 200 dollars for a garbage can of wire not less than number 6 like a big garbage can full of big gauge wire. Then another garbage can full of 12 and ten stuffed in the can. They had to pick it up together to get it on the scale both of them. This place is a cheat 100000 percent!!! Thank you! This place rips you off by paying for "contaminated" loads, even if your recycling is clean. On my second to last visit I noticed that they wrote up my rinsed and dried cans and bottles as "contaminated," which pays a lower rate. When I asked, they said that it was a mistake and corrected it. Then the last time I went, not only did the guy claim it is state law that the bottles were "contaminated" because the caps were still on (which is not true) but that the aluminum cans also count as contaminated because I didn't remove the pull tabs! (Which is also not true.) The only explanation that I can think of is that the employees pay customers for "contaminated" loads, then rewrite the receipts for clean loads and pocket the difference. If the owner sees this and wants to look into it, both of my recent visits were on Saturdays, and your paperwork would have many receipts for clean loads signed in the same handwriting. read more

Have to update this. When I first made this review I was impressed with the fact the bin was brought to me and I was greeted. I was told if I wrote a review I would get more money back. NO. This place is extremely cheap. When replanet was still open, I could go in with 3 large garbage bags of recycling and get just a little over $7 for a mix of plastic and aluminum. This place gave me just under $7 for 6/7 bags of plastic and aluminum mix. It's outrageous. I sadly had to come back twice now because all the replanets shut down! These guys take advantage of you and the fact that there aren't many recycling places left anymore. I want to do good for our planet and will continue to recycle but I just can't do it here. read more

I separated CRV cans and plastics. Had 8 of their cans full of CRV aluminum and 7 cans of CRV plastics. 1/2 can of glass CRV. Lots of CRV @ 0.05 cents a bottle or can but only got $61.20... Something is wrong. They never let me see the weight and I got no receipt. Guy was rude too... I think he gave me junk $$$ and not CRV $$$... I will pay better attention next time because I did a lot of work for very little... Want us to recycle, pay us our CRV money back... Not happy read more

Not a place where you actually get fair pay. Me and my buddy came recycling here where in other places we would have got paid higher for our efforts, this place requires you to separate everything by color and then once you go to check out it seems like they deduct you for nonsense. read more

I'll re-post my review I posted previously under "Yosemite Recycling": This place is great. The only thing they don't take is paper/paper products/cardboard. Otherwise, they'll pay for all aluminum cans (I give them bottle caps too), plastic bottles (keep the caps on!), and glass containers. Even the odd size plastic food/juice containers, vitamin containers and soy/almond milk containers they'll take for recycling although they don't give money for them. They'll pay right then and there, and they're open M-Sat 8:00am-5:00pm and Sun 8:00am-2:00pm. read more
