The staff are friendly but efficient in that "we actually like working here" way you don't see often. Even when it's busy, the vibe is relaxed, like everyone collectively agreed to stop being in a hurry. If you're looking for a café with great food, a killer view, and cookies that could end relationships, The Beach House is it.

Though I have to admit at times it can be a tinsy bit pricey for those on the budget.... but its so cute and has so many imports you can't find in St. Andrews that the premium is worth it. They have my favourite type of Amaretti cookies which I was super excited about! But I have to say I couldn't afford their Truffle oil (go to Morrisons, they have it too... and cheap but probably not the same quality as the Little Italian Shop). When my parents where visiting we came here and got some cheese and pasta and pesto sauce (and wine of course) and made a meal from this place. And (don't hate me for mentioning it again) but the shop is just so cute that I can't help but love it! Sometimes I get a little worried though when I walk by and I don't see anyone inside.... I don't want this place to close because of the recession!
