0 stars! We were needing an evening/weekend dentist, so I booked with Go Dental. What could go wrong? OMG! I am a single mom and booked appointments for me and my two kids. We were all seen only in FEB 2013. From my very first visit, I had a bad taste in my mouth. The receptionists were not attentive, nor polite, taking a very long time to even acknowledge me. I had called ahead a week before to make sure my file had been received. They were unable to confirm or deny over the phone? I stopped in a few days before my appointment again to check if they had my file & x-rays, most office are not open on Saturdays, and Go Dental would not be able to get what was needed on my appointment date. I made sure all releases were signed for both offices, I was told `computers are down` (even though she was using the computer for about 15 min before even speaking to me) I let her know of my concerns as I had x-rays that were needed for my appointment, and again asked the ladies at the desk to insure they were transferred by the Sat. Sat came guess what? No X-rays, had to REDO them.
My kids father also thought the hours were convent, so he booked with them under his name and address, or at least he tried. Go dental assumed we were a big happy family with address in separate city`s. I found out later Go Dental added our accounts (go dental and 2 insurance companies) together and lost my ex address. Causing his insurance provider of 11 years to be "updated" with an incorrect address. Our last names are not the same, and we split years before ever calling Go Dental.
In FEB 2013 I paid at the end of my appointment (they want you to pay in full before you leave) March I moved to Drumheller. MAY 2013 I get a bill for $78, insurance did not cover all that go dental expected. 3 months later I found this very strange, but they also let me know they still have not submitted the claim for my children`s check-ups and work. So they want me to pay more but have not completed their job, and are not sure if the total will rise again? It would be nice to send 1 cheque don't you think? I also start to receive Manulife statements and Go dental statement for my kids father? Who I am not on good terms with! Since I moved FEB That's when my employee insurance stopped. Since Go Dental was not on top of anything, did not submit the claims then, I had to call and get deactivated account numbers, to submit my half of the claims, why? you guessed it they lost my insurance info too! Every dentist office I had been to before, copies the insurance cards... Starting to get frustrated with the accountant who can only say `I`m new`, I ask for a manager, 3 days later I finally get her, she can absolutely not help me, even though this new accountant has been there only 3 weeks, the manager cannot do her job? who did it before? `no one` was literally my answer from both management and accounting!! So I get told only accounting can help u here she is again. Great. I let her know I will not be paying until all claims are complete and there is an accurate and final bill. Simple right? Ha! not with Go Dental they have to make you GO MENTAL!
Go to the mail today AUG, 2013. See that go Dental has now decided I owe about $400 for dental work We had 100% coverage for? I don't any finical get help with my kids, my truck broke down only 2 weeks ago costing $1650. Almost $400 owing right now brought me to tears. Why mail me a bill? Insurance owes it not I!?! Completely unnecessary stress. The accountant claims its because she did not have my kids fathers address, `tried` calling him, and dental claims were coming back. Maybe because they have all address wrong, maybe because their submitting 3-6 months after the work was done. This is not my fault they lost the address, not my problem if she cannot contact him, for extra info they lost but now need. Go Dental was given all the info to complete all dental claims.
In a letter the accountant says `Manulife cannot give Dental Offices information due to the privacy act` Yet the letter continues to outline details about my exs insurance, and what they need from him. This is not my business at all! Is likely a violation of the privacy act. Completely unprofessional.
More than 6 months later and this is not even HALF done! I urge everyone to think twice about the cost of convent hours. Was not impressed with the dental work, nor how they handled my daughters 1st dental visit. They have toys in the waiting room, but don't let that fool you into thinking they are kid friendly. read more
