The back story...Kevin Carswell founded Mochas & Javas 2003 and the very first two San Marcos locations were opened together with his brother, Kirby Carswell, and both of their wives...therefore, truly a family-owned business. This location can easily be a study location, friend meet up, or where good food and great conversation are needed. Without a doubt the coffee is the highlight at Mochas & Javas. I am neither greeted by the cashier on her phone, nor given any sign that orders are kept elsewhere. After almost 10 minutes, I see someone else go to the counter and ask where their order is. When i walk ip to do the same, we are told that they have a problem with theft so they keep everything behind the counter now. A practical solution a suppose.
