Some may not remember this but years ago, Brevard County had quite a few options when it came to…read morealternative groceries. On US-192 in Melbourne, we had Lucky's. On Murrell Rd. up in Rockledge, we had Earth Fare. And of course there are the constant rumors of finally having a Whole Foods here. But for some reason, what we had just suddenly closed. We did have local alternative groceries, which I am thankful for, but I know a larger alternative grocery would provide more options. Ergo, I am happy Sprouts decided to open here in Melbourne, FL, especially since I got to experience them in Tampa because my sister is a regional manager for their personal health department. Located on Hollywood Blvd., in the same plaza as LA Fitness Palm Bay, Sprouts is a stand-alone store that provides many of the same options both Lucky's and Earth Fare had. They have all the typical grocery departments including a bakery, deli, produce, personal health, and such. They do have an ambiance similar to our local Downtown Produce and the Thrifty Produce located in Rockledge on Eyester Blvd. For example, above their milk and diary wall, their signage is framed within a dairy farm setting. Other sections have old-time farmer's market signage above them complete with corrugated metal roofing and treated wood panels. Much of the base grocery is alternative healthier choices from what mainstream groceries provide. However, what stands out are their produce, meat and deli, and bakery. Everything is made fresh, and most are in-house. They provide freshly-squeezed juices, fresh-cut veggies and fruits, and pre-made meals that you can take home and cook. My personal favorite section is the personal care section, which provides alternative personal care and health options that actually work, from what I see. I definitely like the CBD gummies that provide sleep. There is much more to explore when I eventually go back here to Sprouts. For now, I am going to give the store a four out of five stars. They have everything you may want in an alternative grocery. The prices may be a little high, but that seems to be the case when it comes to quality. That is why Publix prices are usually higher than places like Walmart or Food Lion and so on. If this Sprouts remains consistent on their four-star quality and service on average (I'll give them a bad day or two), then they'll earn their fifth star for consistency.

Date of visit: November 28, 2025…read more I'd heard of Sprouts before but never had an opportunity to visit one until this trip down to Florida for a cruise. We needed a couple small items and walked over after breakfast. It definitely has a Trader Joe's vibe, so if that's not your scene you likely won't care for Sprouts, either. Think healthy and natural with fun twist. I found the items I was looking for and while they weren't exactly cheap, they both seemed to be of above average quality and I am a firm believer in getting what you pay for. All of the employees we encountered were friendly and helpful (when's the last time you can say that you experienced that!?), and I wouldn't hesitate to visit another location on my travels if I had the opportunity to do so.

Sprouts Farmers Market (the one I go to in [Your City]) - 5 stars, no notes…read more I'm obsessed. Walking into Sprouts feels like someone gave Whole Foods a personality transplant and slashed the prices while they were at it. The produce section is legitimately gorgeous -- heaps of organic kale that actually looks alive, avocados that are ripe EXACTLY when they say they will be (witchcraft?), and those little cartons of specialty mushrooms I pretend to know how to cook. Everything smells like it was picked this morning, because half of it probably was. The bulk bins are dangerous for me. I go in for almonds and leave with mocha-dusted chocolate almonds, chili-lime pistachios, and some random grain I saw on TikTok that I'll never figure out how to pronounce. Their bulk spices are also clutch -- I refilled smoked paprika for like $0.87 the other day and felt like I hacked the system. The deli/sandwich counter is low-key one of the best lunch deals in town. $8.99 for a massive made-to-order sandwich on fresh-baked bread with all the fancy toppings? Yes please. The "Sprouts Classic" with turkey, cranberry, and stuffing vibes year-round is stupidly good. Meat and seafood counter people are always chill and actually know what they're talking about. Got sold on some cedar-plank salmon that changed my weeknight dinner game. And if you're plant-based, the selection of fake meats and cheeses that don't taste like regret is honestly impressive. Only tiny gripe: the parking lot is a blood sport on weekends and they play the same 7 acoustic covers on loop, but I'll fight for a spot and hum along to "Wonderwall" on ukulele if it means I get to shop here. Sprouts, never change (except maybe add one more register on Saturdays). See you tomorrow... again.

I hadn't expected to find a store like this. I wasn't even looking for one. So when I stopped in,…read morereally only to browse, I was immediately blown away by the overall atmosphere and the non-medicinal smell. I never can figure out why a health food store has that type of aroma -- but NG didn't. Nature's Garden is a great store with a nice range of organic and health food supplements. Most carried the certified organic seal and place of manufacture, so you know what you're getting and where it's from: if that's important to you. The shelves hold the product and the literature about it, nearby. The woman working that day was very helpful and answered my questions on the different vitamin B & C supplements. In fact, if you really want to know how well your vitamins work, NG has a machine that will analyze that for you for a small added fee. I wasn't that brave, but maybe next time. When I actually went to the counter with my supply of goodies including some powdered greens for my pets, I learned everything was 20% off, a special the owner had been running. She said it helped keep her in business in these hard times. Good for her. I'm a supporter of local small businesses and that makes this place worth a visit if you're in the market for supplements. I just wished I lived in the area. I'd be a regular here.

They carry a decent selection but I, personally, will shop elsewhere. I do not believe in the…read morepractice of marking everything up & then running "everything 20% off every day" sales. There are other locations selling the same products at normal price without trying to "trick" you into thinking you are getting a good deal.
