We move on to the marketing hyped enhancers such as energizers, protein shakes and diet suppressers. Ok, add $1 for every enhancer you choose. Most of these enhancers are squirts of oils and not truly what you would expect. For example, one of those squirts are "turbinado," which is basically sugar. You'd think that the fruits would have enough sweetness to them, but we are incorrect. That almost adds 75 grams of carbs to your shake that is supposedly supposed to be healthy. I'm not a nutritionist, but that sounds kind of unhealthy. I always ask for no-sugar added and just the basic ingredients which is what makes them Smoothie King. You have the ability to make what you want, if you know what you want. Service here is great and fast even during their peak hours.

I went to the tea wall and grabbed some herbs and tea blends. They have such a big selection and I love it! They also have a ton of hemp items, which I'll look into for another time! They have a massive selection spanning savory spices, sweet blends, herbs, and teas. I was especially impressed by their selections of infused honey, which had me feeling inspired to use honey in completely new ways in my kitchen. The store layout includes seasonal recipe cards placed throughout to spark creativity, and they send you a coupon on your birthday. This shop is a fantastic option for gifting. These spices would make an excellent present for any cook you know. Personally, I would love a gift basket from this place. To top it all off, the customer service is excellent. I spoke with Scott, he had the exact welcoming, magnanimous and knowledgeable vibe that you would want in a spice advisor. He made a great visit even better. I've been a fan of NYBS's restaurant since they opened, and my husband and I would visit at least…read moreonce a month for dinner.  Unfortunately, after a few recent bad experiences, we won't be returning.   My biggest issues recently have been - * Excessive salt on the Salmon BLT sandwich and meatballs - formerly, two of our favorite dishes * Smoked salmon fonduta - heating smoked salmon made this a fishy, unpalatable appetizer * Hamburger overcooked and dry, even with the added (very thinly sliced) cheddar cheese * Soggy fries * Crabcake aioli too sweet * Not enough servers to handle the demand in the restaurant, and we've noticed some turnover, too   I appreciate that NYBS offers reasonably priced specials and beverages, but their food quality has declined significantly since we first started eating there.  The only things we still enjoy are the steak flight, wings, and gouda and bacon macaroni and cheese.  It pains me to say this, but we are done. The decline in food quality and inattentive service have removed this restaurant from our rotation.
