I was alone sitting at the bar trying to figure out which beer I wanted to try. The lady didn't ask what type of beers I like or offer any suggestions. I drank the cranberry seltzer, which was OK. Had a nice flavor and I felt like I was drinking Ocean Spray Cranberry juice. I will say the man who came on around 5 or 6 was super nice and attentive, but by that time I had given up and was planning my exit. 3. Employee Conversation-I overheard the employees talking about a large group who frequented the bar. I felt the employees were speaking a bit negatively about the group. I wish they had known there audience b/c I was part of that group. 4. Food-You have to order at the bar, which is cool. I can not speak to the food, b/c I didn't order any. Rather than listen to the employees talk about people who spend money in their establishment I went to Culvers down the street where they may talk about me but at least I don't know it. 5. The menu does not match what is on line. Prior to going there I looked at their on line menu and what I saw online did not match onsite. Perhaps if the bartender had been more invtiting I may have been more inclined to ask questions, but she didn't seem very interested in talking with me. Online they talk about doing a cool partnership with the funeral home to raise money for a cool veteran fund, I would have gotten that if I had felt more comfortable asking questions. 6.-Overall my experience was meh. I don't intend on returning, but in talking with other people they really seem to enjoy this place. From what I have heard the pizza is really good, I do like a good Chicago Style Pizza. I am sticking with my three stars. This is just my experience, I am all about supporting local businesses. I overheard the owner or manager telling someone they have a property in South Haven. South Haven has a piece of my heart as do local breweries. I hope I caught the place on a bad day and I hope more the SH establishement has friendlier staff.

A sizable space located in the town center. Not busy, not loud. Free parking in back. Good service…read more(order at bar). Solid drink menu, definitely a respectable brewery. Good sandwiches as well; sloppy Joe was best of the group. Fries were great. They no longer have pizza, but they don't seem to lack for options. Everything reasonably priced. The chef/owner, Cody, came out and spoke to our party at length. Very welcoming.

Wow, finally, a great place to get BBQ in the Grandville area! My wife and I had a taste for BBQ,…read moreand historically the area has had average at best chain bbq joints. What a pleasant surprise to find Sweet Racks and Smokin' Butts BBQ! We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, probably around 2pm or so, the inside was bigger than I was expecting, plenty of seating, not cramped...and great background music :-). We were both in the mood for brisket - my wife opted for the loaded mashed potatoes with brisket and I got the 2 meat meal and went with chopped brisket for both meats (a total of 1/2 lb), I decided on the mac and cheese and the smoked beans. We decided to dine in, our food came out pretty quick - maybe 10 minutes tops. Holy cow - WOW - it was amazing - the brisket was fantastic, the mac & cheese was delicious...I wasn't expecting much from the beans, they're usually an afterthought. Not these - they were the most unique smoked beans I've had - a surprise sweetness (just enough to throw me off) - and a bit of heat, just the right amount for me - Not too hot where it detracts from the flavor, but enough to say "I'm not your average baked beans with some smoky flavor." The "only" thing I wish is they had was adult beverages - a cold beer would have been icing on the cake....although, there is a brewery literally a stone's throw away. I should've asked if the brewery allows you to bring over food - or now that it's getting nice out, some outdoor seating between the two would have been great...hint hint :-) One piece of advice, when we got there, the ribs had already sold out - must be really popular, as someone had come in where we were there wanting to get ribs and decided to wait and come back just for the ribs. So, you probably need to get there earlier if you're expecting ribs. Knowing that, we'll have to go earlier next time and give them a shot. The menu was straight forward and had a variety of meats and sides available as well as some nacho type options. I ordered a 2 meat platter -- I chose pulled pork & a quarter chicken along with cornbread and potato salad for my sides. My husband got ribs (x2) and a quarter chicken for his 3 meat combo along with potato salad and Mac n cheese. The price felt a little high but not when we saw the portions - the sides were huge and we could barely finish our plates. Here's the thing... we are picky about our bbq. We have a smoker at home so expectations are high. The flavor of both my chicken and pulled pork were what I'd consider a "soft smoke" that you'd find on a buffet line or in a catering dish. Everything came out right away so it was probably stored that way after prepared. I prefer a "hard smoke" where the skin has a nice bark like consistency and the pulled pork was almost soupy - I hate to compare but my go to will still be Two Scotts. If you like a more basic bbq this may be your place. The potato salad was good, unique sauce and something different than your usual mustard and egg potato salad. The cornbread was good too - just wish it was a little bigger. Will I be back? Not sure. I've had their food truck and I think when you're at an outside event it can curb your hunger but for an in person experience, I think my bar may have been set too high. Customer service and people were great - keep improving the food and I'm sure I'd give it another go.
