I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience has been extremely disappointing…read more Over two weeks ago, I visited the Holland location and spoke with a customer service representative about ordering a replacement brake cable for my mom's Drive 4-wheel walker. I was told they would contact the supplier, order the replacement part, and call me with an update. Since then, I've heard nothing. I've called multiple times trying to follow up, only to sit on hold for up to 20 minutes before giving up. No one answers, no one returns calls, and there has been absolutely no communication. If your customer service depends on timely follow-up--especially when it involves mobility equipment for a loved one--I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I really enjoy the Holland CVS and have generally had good experiences there. Unfortunately, my…read moreexperience today was very disappointing. I stopped in to pick up a photo order that I had already paid for. I gave Laura my last name, but she wasn't able to find the order at the front. Without saying anything to me, she walked over to the photo counter. She then looked at me and said, "Come here," while rolling her eyes. Once she found my order, she placed it on the counter near her to scan and simply said, "There you go, thanks." She didn't hand me my photos or make any effort to provide even basic customer service. she just stood there waiting for me to take them myself. I completely understand that everyone has bad days, and I try to give people grace for that. However, I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience when I was simply there to pick up something I had paid for. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because a small interaction like this can really affect a customer's experience. I still like Holland CVS, but I definitely left feeling disappointed by the way I was treated today.

The checkout lady was friendly, as well, and checking out was fast. They also have a bathroom at this location, FYI, which was good since I needed to use it.

I've been using this pharmacy for around a year now and my experiences here are all over them map…read more First I'll give the positive that brings it up from what otherwise would have been a 1 star review. The people here are always very friendly and pleasant to deal with. I hate it when I go into a business to spend my hard earned money and they treat me like I'm inconveniencing them by making them work. Thankfully I've never experienced that type of behavior here. Now onto the negative side of the house. If I were not taking into consideration the very friendly people here I would be giving this pharmacy a 1 star rating. The major problem I have is on a couple of occasions I've asked my prescriptions be filled for a 3 month supply since there are plenty of refills left on them. Now, keep in mind I'm talking harmless medications that Walgreens and other pharmacies will be happy to do this for a customer. If I were getting Vicodin, morphine or some other highly abused drug frequently abused out on the streets then of course they'd be absolutely correct to not allow me or anybody else get more than a 30 day supply. That's not the case though. I'm talking about pills to help keep my cholesterol in check and to keep my blood a little thinner so we're not exactly talking about drugs that are in high demand out on the streets or that I might be tempted to take extra doses of and then become addicted. They say that without it being written by the doctor as being allowed to be filled in 3 month increments that they can't do it. Well, I know for a fact that Walgreens does this for customers, and so does Meijers so obviously the pharmacists here need to reevaluate how they are not meeting their customers needs when dealing with non-addictive drugs and ones that aren't easily abused out on the streets. Yes, it's commendable that you don't want to possibly do anything wrong when dispensing medications, but your customers deserve to be able to get the same type of service here that they can get at other respected and local pharmacies. Well, after typing all of that I'm finally having an aha moment. My aha moment is that I need to stop complaining about this issue at this pharmacy and just switch back to Walgreens as my regular pharmacy. Sometimes the most obvious solutions are the ones that take me the longest to figure out.

It's nothing fancy but if you need anything by manner of toiletries, medications (they also have a pharmacy), first aid items, etc they've got it. I've definitely bought my share of aloe more than once here after a wicked sunburn from the beach. They also have a small toy selection, a few self-care/beauty things, etc. Pretty much anything you forgot to throw in your suitcase you can get replaced here. I also absolutely love that they still have the old soda fountain counter in the back. We love going and splitting a soda or a float like we're kids in the 1950s. The one thing I do miss is the large selection they used to have of beach toys and whatnot. Every visit we'd buy a kite to fly at the beach, or something goofy to take to oval like a big beach umbrella, chairs, or blow up floaties. It was always the highlight of our trip and I miss it!
