I wandered into this location after being at a nearby shop. Although I have a locaiton closer to my house, I have kept coming back here after my first and repeated experience. The staff is friendly and responsive. With so many choices it's really difficult to narrow down what exactly you may need. The gentleman I dealt with took his time to listen to what I needed and gave me a range of what would work best for me. I guess the best part was that I felt no pressure and felt more like talking to someone who had my best interest at heart vs a pushy sales person. He even pointed out a lower price option that would be more effective. Now, I have developed a relationship and am constantly fine tuning purchases (with help) according to what I need. I feel much better, full of energy and I strongly believe it has to do with the vitamins and supplements I've recieved. I'm surprised to read other reviews because everytime I've been there, I always get a friendly person, no pressure and to top it off, I've walked away with free stuff. A good doctor, mechanic, or plumber are all things hard to find but a retail experience where you are more than just a sale of the day means a lot to me. In the words of my hero ... Definitely wouldn't ever go to this GNC ever again. The worker was overcharging an item that was priced lower online, and I asked if he could price match to the online GNC website and he wouldn't. So I left the store and placed an order online for pick up at this same location within minutes of leaving. The worker canceled my order and lied saying it was out of stock, which was obviously a lie because I had walked in before and saw the shelf full of the item I wanted. Do not go here! The older lady that works here has terrible customer service and doesn't even know how to do an exchange. I bought a Dymatize protein shake and once I opened it, I noticed the lid was burnt or had mold. Once I went back to try to exchange it for a good one, the lady told me I couldn't because I didn't have a receipt. I didn't even want a refund, I just wanted the same item, but not defective. So I reached out to GNC headquarters and they were great and sent me a receipt so I can either exchange/return. However, the lady didn't want to exchange it for me bc she remembered me and said she had already told me I couldn't return it. I explained everything to her and showed her the receipt and she still even threatened to me that she would call herself to make sure I wasn't lying so I told her that was fine with me and so she did. She ended up exchanging it but had to call someone bc she didn't know how to do an exchange. Worst experience I've ever had and I know bc I'm also a retail worker and I'm amazed at how rude that lady is. I've been needing to go to GNC to pick up my pre workout. I normally go to the one at the block but it being the holiday season I didn't wanna go through the hassle of finding parking at the block after work, so I decided to head to the one on Lincoln since it's closer to home, only to find out it's freaking closed. The hours say it should be open till 8pm, there is no indication of holiday hours or anything. All the lights are off the door was locked. I wish I took a picture, but I was already annoyed as it is. I've been here before and had already told my self that I wouldn't be coming back because of the horrible customer service they have. The older lady employee is so rude and condescending. Went in over an hour later and was greeted by an extremely rude employee who condescendingly told me that they did not receive my order and would not provide me further instructions on what to do. Then after this he told me that he has the ability to deny these orders when they come in because he doesn't make any money off them. Poor customer service, I won't be coming back to this location. Shouldn't have even purchased anything. I went once and the lady was super friendly although she was watching movies on her iPad and eating when I walked in. Second time it was an older man with a very bad attitude. Not every store is requiring masks during COVID-19 and he stood there and acted like he was going to deny me service for not having one even though he's literally covered by a plastic wall. He told me to "hurry up". If your store is requiring masks maybe you should put a sign on the door that says so instead of being extremely rude. Was looking for empty capsules. Came in to a lady having what seemed to be a very interesting conversation between her and another lady. I felt uncomfortable interrupting but decided to do it anyway since I needed the capsules and this was a place of business that might have it. The lady behind the counter did not seem pleased to be interrupted; she quickly said "No, we don't have it," and went back to her thrilling conversation. They probably did not have it and she was very happy that they did not because she would not have to get up and find them and ring me up; having to break up the conversation. Poor customer service at this location! After receiving great customer service at the Main place mall GNC I drove the extra miles to get a product they were out of at main place. I was informed they do price match and there is a banner in every store that claims that! I was helped by a woman who was eating nuts at the counter. I asked her about price matching and her response was "we don't do that" I pointed to the banner and asked what that meant then. She said they only price match to what is on their website. I had to explain that I was coming from another GNC who graciously honored that! She said " ok, how much?" And I showed her the price and she said no! That's too low. And I showed her a moderate price because amazon had it for an even cheaper price! So I showed her The product On amazon and she said, "Then buy it there". I walked out at that moment. I understand everyone has quotas and a job to do but the customer service was the worst. She could have explained as to why she couldn't lower it or how that works. The reason for me coming in today (April 10, 2017) was because I needed to buy some lean shake. I walked in and was greeted immediately by Qamar. She walked over asking if I needed assistance, so I asked her a few questions about what I was looking for. She gave me a few options to choose from and some helpful advice on what I should choose. Took her word and ended up getting the simple GNC lean shake. Asked her for some blenders and she showed me that very quickly. We had a good chat, she's very nice and a very sweet person. I went to this store during my lunch to pickup something that my son John Anchondo, who is a store manager for GNC in Albuquerque NM. I've never felt so unwelcome by this older man who was working in the store, not only was he on his phone but not even a greeting once he finally got off and that's only because I was ready to pay. He rang up my items then charged me regular price didn't even ask me if I had a Gold Card which I did, but told me in a very rude tone " I'll change the price only if you really do have a Gold Card" made me feel like I was lying to him. I may be a older woman, but I have 25yrs in Customer Service. However their was no customer service values in that mans body. This was my third time in this store. Most other stores only hire employees with knowledge of protein and protein accessories. Forgetting that is only 1/3 of the store.
