The person working (franchisee owner?) even searched for it in closed boxes that were waiting to be stocked on the floor. As it turns out, the packaging changed and so the web site package pic is old (used to say "sublingual" but now just says "lozenges" - which are dissolving). The staff were really nice. However, I will say just like any other supplement store. Do your research of what you are looking for and need prior to going into one of these stores. You are able to ask questions but a lot of times in my experience I have noticed the employees do not have much knowledge on the products being sold in the store. So just do yourself a favor , save your breath and do your own research. Also, check the prices if you are looking to buy something and they have a larger quantity that seems like a better deal do the math prior to just purchasing the item. I almost made that mistake of buying the larger quantity rather than two smaller containers and the larger container wasn't a better deal. Typically buying in bulk is better but not always, I almost spent an extra $5.00 that I didn't need to spend. Overall, the store is very clean, and organized. Vitamins and more! This shop recently opened where Conroy's Flowers used to be. They have lots of vitamins and supplements. The staff here seems to know their products well. I was helped relatively fast. Prices are reasonable and parking is easy. Did you know they have supplies for pets? They do! We were at the PetCo nearby to purchased Vets Best Shampoo. It's the only shampoo we can find that doesn't cause our Shih Tzu to scratch. Well, PetCo was out, so I google Vets Best website to find another location and what do you know? The Vitamin Shoppe is listed as a vender! Who knew?!!? So we pop on over, and much to our surprise, they had is in stock AND it was less expensive! And not by something like 50 cents, but a couple bucks cheaper! We were surprised. She encouraged me to shop specific more dollars to get 10 $ more the next time.However when it came for me to pay, they said that you can use your points towards the next purchase! I went in to buy some protein bars. I wanted to buy a box but I wanted to swap out 1 or 2 bars of a different flavor so that I can test it out. (Same Brand). The employee Mo said that he could not give me the discount on the box since I put in a different flavor. He said he was unable to make an exception as it was the company policy. So... I bought only 3 bars instead of a full box. I see no reason to make this my Nutrition / Supplement store of choice. This place is very clean the staff is very friendly very informative about there products they gave me samples of other item to try. I found a new multivitamin pack I wanted to try the price was priced incorrectly it was actually cheaper then it really was but they still honored the discounted price. I came to the Tustin location after being treated HORRIBLY at the Main St. location. This location had a better selection than the Main ST. store, the employees were very polite and helped me find everything I had on my list (items I had seen on their website and all were in stock), did not hover over me while I shopped and they did not try to sell me anything I did not need. I give 5 stars because the place has a complete supplement inventory. Unlike Bill up there who needs to be coddled to feel like he's getting service, i don't shop with an eye to be dissatisfied. He wanted the employee to open a box of protein bars so he could switch out some flavors, which is a lame request. Most customers won't purchase opened items, so that is why they have that policy. Feeling like you got bad service because an employee didn't want to risk their job to violate policy for you is really indicative of your poor level of insight, practicality, patience, and respect. Then to rate them poorly based on one experience where an employee followed protocol is a chump move. read more

I don't think I had ever stepped foot in a Vitamin Shoppe before so I didn't know what to expect. This location is big, bright and well stocked. An employee asked me if I needed help a few mins after getting there, I told her what I was looking for and she walked me over, explained the different ones and let me be, I couldn't have been happier! Never coming back. I placed an online order for same day pickup. This was ordered in the afternoon so they had about six hours to fill the order. I never received the email that it was ready to be picked up until the next day.... The whole reason I did an online order for picking up is because I wanted the items the same day instead of going through Amazon and waiting for shipping. I finnally stopped by and picked up my three items and drove home. Upon inspection of my protein drinks I found out that they had expired on 04/11/2019. I picked my ordered up on 04/12/2019. That means they had the nerve to fill my online order with an entire case of expired protein drinks. They did issue me a refund but only after I declined a different protein product by that point I just wanted to get out of there since I had to drive there twice. read more

I'm a few months too late on writing this review but I don't care. I came in one day at this location to re-up on my supplements. This employee named Naomi who I was told is an assistant manager rung me up at the register. I gave my vitamin shoppe card, and I made the purchase with my debit card punching in my PIN number. She bagged my items then before handing them over to me she tells me, "I need to see ID". Of course I'm confused, shocked and pissed. I asked, "why do you need to see ID?". She responded, "it's store policy, we just got an email about it". So I told her, "I already made my purchase, so if you think I stole my own debit card, call the police now". She didn't and handed my items over to me. Ever since then, I have dreaded walking into that store. One thing I hate is a racist person. I hate them with a passion. She makes me uncomfortable every time I walk into that store. I always have other employees ring me up. I've been going to vitamin shoppe for the past 3 or 4 years in New York and California. I've never been asked for ID. So out of the blue you ask me for mine AFTER I make my purchases? I should have contacted corporate and got a lawyer involved. She's an obvious bigot, racist and complete idiot. I hope she reads this because of her I mostly order my supps online now and sometimes go to a different location. I've spent lots of money at Vitamin Shoppe throughout the years and it's a damn shame that they have this monster working for them. I'm sure they can get someone else to work for $15 an hour there. By the way, I've been to a few other Vitamin Shoppe's after this situation and they all said the same thing, there is no store policy to ask for ID after making debit card purchases. They've got everything you need for your fitness goals plus a nice selection of pretty good in house brands to fit your budget. GNC doesn't even come close. The staff is pretty friendly. My only critique is that I wish they were more knowledgeable about their products and fitness in general. Fortunately I'm a trainer so I know exactly what I need. But a noob would have a difficult time making the right decisions if they had to go at it alone. But if you know what you need, you're sure to find it there and for a competitive price! read more

I felt really unwelcome on the store. There was myself and another woman in the store and the older woman with glasses seem agitated about me asking her questions. But she readily sprung to help the other woman who wasn't even seeking her help. I love shopping in this store but will not be coming to this location. I almost felt the woman was racist since she was willing to help the Caucasian woman instead of me. I finally was leaving and asked for her name and she then told me "Chanese" or something like that. I have to second what others have said about not feeling wanted at this particular store. Employees have no personality, and don't interact with the customers. Furthermore, the prices are 30% higher than other comparable stores. When asked if they would price match or discount they replied with a firm no. While i understand the outrageous pricing may not be directly attributed to this particular store, and come from a higher corporate lever front line management should still be able to discount when appropriate. The manager or employee could have given a discount especially considering how much over it was. It's understandable that their prices not be as low as online retailers, but when a gnc store is selling the same product 30% lower it signals greed on the profit margins. read more

I visit the Vitamin Shoppe often as I purchase my supplements here, however, I have never submitted a review before because the service has never been the best and as they say, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. But this time, I have to write a review, because the customer service I received by Hank the assistant manager was amazing. My son and I walked in to the Vitamin Shoppe in Orange and Hank acknowledged us when we walked in, then walked up to us to ask if we needed help finding a product, which we did! He helped us finding all the products we needed, assisted me throughout the whole transaction and off we went. He was helpful, attentive, super customer service oriented, his tone of voice was calm and courteous. During my transaction he mentioned he works at the Costa Mesa store and was helping Orange store for the day (insert sad face here). Wish they have more representatives like him. I had one of the best experiences I have ever had at this store. Great customer service by Hank! Thank you so much, you truly changed my view of this store!
