When I say they are by far the most intelligent, professional, and compassionate people I've ever met in my life I stand by that! I went into this class doubting myself and being hard on my self but they would continue to push me and reassure me that they would not let me fail and now I can say I'm very proud of my progress and completion of the course successfully. I must include that I am a dialysis patient which my instructor Krystina was aware of. I usually do my dialysis before class but was going through a life struggle that morning before class so it wasn't on my mind to do it at that time. I usually keep an emergency kit on me during times like this but the emergency kit was not where I expected it to be and was left at home. Long story short is my professor Krystina called me to let me know she was on her way to class because she knew I always showed up to class extremely early than expected. As we were on the phone I disclosed to her panicking that I don't have my drainage bag and mini cap to drain the solution out of me and she immediately told me everything will be okay. She told me we are going to figure this out. She made phone calls until she finally reached out to a man by the name of Darius Walls who works in the medical supply. During the time I'm not knowing any of this and I'm freaking out because I need this class and I didn't want to travel all the way back home which was an hour + away not including traffic. I can only leave the solution in me for 16 hours max and I was on my 14th hour. As I approached UChicago Medicine Center for Care and Discovery I gave Krystina a call back and she reassured me that we were going to figure this out. When I finally got to the center I made it to class and she let me know that Darius contacted a woman by the name of Elisa who said she would provide me with the materials I needed for my dialysis. My professor Krystina walked me down to the dialysis floor and stayed with me while we waited to receive the equipment I needed to perform my dialysis. Elisa then asked if I receive my equipment from Baxter and I stated yes. Within minutes I received my equipment, did my dialysis, and was able to drain before the 15th hour came thanks to Krystina, Darius, and Elisa. No professor has showed unconditional love for a student like Krystina has in this program and I will be forever grateful!! I strongly suggest Instrumental Education to everyone!

Prior to this class I had never opened a LSAT Prep book or even seen what type of questions would be on the LSAT. I was told by others that it is unlike any standardized test I had ever taken. I wanted to start on a clean slate. From the research that I had done, most people who selected Blueprint increased their score by an average of 11 points. The instructors bio on the Blueprint website, which you should check out by the way, also helped in humanizing them and injecting a sense of humor to such a challenging task. Patrick was our instructor for Blueprint Chicago and let me tell you, he is extremely intelligent and patient. Unlike most geniuses who make you feel inferior due to their high acumen and intellect, Patrick was the complete opposite. We learned a lot in this class and had fun doing it. Patrick would come early to answer any questions or stay late just to be sure you really got it. You have to do your part and actually prepare and study outside of class as well, but it was nice knowing that if we have any questions about the homework he would be able to break it down so we could understand where we may have missed something. I actually enjoy Logic Games now, I know it sounds strange but that's how amazing Patrick was in breaking it down and making it enjoyable. I would highly recommend taking the course with Patrick and I am glad he was our instructor because he really was super nice, funny, and patient. I was able to increase my score by more than the 11 point average and I know for a fact that it would not have been possible without Patrick and the Blueprint team. Patrick is an excellent teacher and you will not regret your decision.

It was a solid investment of both my money and, more importantly, my time and efforts. Patrick is a wonderful teacher, mentor, and friend. He genuinely cares about each of his students; he paid attention to our individual needs and concerns in a way that didn't at all take away from the entire group's classroom experience. While very intelligent, Patrick is also extremely patient and down to earth, which really adds to the comfort of the learning environment. Patrick explains the mysterious complexities of LSAT logic in a way that is simple to understand, and he goes out of his way to ensure that everyone has a solid grasp on the material. He's easily accessible by email and phone and always willing to help; nearly every class meeting, Patrick arrived a few minutes early and stayed at least a a few minutes late to answer any questions that hadn't been asked during class. I admittedly didn't always do all of the assigned homework, so I strongly advise that you do it to make sure you're taking full advantage of the class. Try to make it to every lesson, as it's a lot more fun to learn the material with Patrick than it is to study any missed lessons on your own. Also, be sure to check out all the available resources online - the sample problem sets and additional practice tests were tremendously helpful, so I'd recommend doing as many of those as possible. And don't worry about the 4-hour class length. Thanks to Patrick, class goes by a lot more quickly, painlessly, and enjoyably than you'd think.

I didn't go into the class expecting it to be jam-packed with a bunch of scientific life changing information and found the class to be perfect to get you started in speed reading. For me, I don't think I need all of the background information to fill up extra class time--just tell me what needs to be done and let's get to it. This class would've been great had I had it in high school or college--but even so with all the technical, dry reading I have to do--the information I left with will definitely come in handy. This is the first time I've taken a speed reading class so don't have much else to compare it to--so for what it is--I would recommend it. Of course since not all instructors for anything are created equally---YMMV (Your mileage may vary)!

He was honest, caring, and clear in his communication, which made me feel hopeful and reassured that we have a real path forward. I'm so grateful for the experience. Each has his own strengths and weaknesses, and their study and learning habits differ vastly. Once Steve met with us and reviewed their baseline untimed scores, he easily guided each of my sons to the test that would elicit the best results, and he confidently assured that tutoring them together would not only meet each boy's individual needs but would enhance each other's learning, by virtue of the group process. Indeed, Steve was exactly right. He helped my kids to put in perspective the importance of these tests and to set goals commensurate with their college choice aspirations. His teaching style elicits discipline and engagement, without instilling undue stress and worry. He's calm and steadfast in his claim that if a person is willing to put in the practice and study time and comes prepared to tutoring sessions, he or she can incrementally improve. He makes the goal score feel accessible, and this helped to keep both of my kids motivated, hard-working and hopeful. The three of them worked together for 24 hours, over 12 sessions, and utilized a variety of materials, including prep books, websites, and group meetings to get them ready for the test. He tracked their progress, keeping me updated throughout, and though he worked with them together, he tailored the lessons to each of my kids. Now that both boys have sat for their chosen test, it's abundantly clear that Steve assessed them accurately, and guided and taught them well. My sons each reached their goal scores, one improving 3 composite points (4 with super score), and the other improving 6 composite points, to do so. Needless to say, both of my kids are pleased with the outcome, as am I, and I suspect this will open doors at schools they might not have considered. From beginning to end, and especially as measured by the results, Steve successfully ushered my kids through what could easily have been a stressful and demoralizing process. He simply understands these tests and how to master them, and we couldn't be happier to have benefitted from his expertise.

My student was already doing well in Math and Reading, but yearned to improve in Science and English. Most other courses or tutors offered full on prep -- very costly and time-consuming. Steve assessed my student's specific needs and provided individualized coaching and resources to help her use her limited time wisely. After only two sessions (about 4 hours total) and some homework, my student's confidence was boosted. Beyond improving an already great composite score by 2 to 3 points overall, specific increases included 4 points improvement in English (from 32 to 36), and a whopping 5-point improvement in Science (31 to 36). Steve was meticulous, positive, and patient. He used a variety of materials, including websites, prep books, and lessons at my home. The resources he has to offer are up-to-date and not stale, which is important since the tests have changed over time. He kept detailed notes on my student's performance to help track improvement and keep me updated. Would definitely recommend.
