We really liked the scone, but that's probably more because we're big fans of huckleberries than anything about it being outstanding. The almond croissant was good, as was the roll, but they were both beyond flaky--too flaky--and crumbs and powdered sugar were flying everywhere. In hindsight, we wish we had gotten a savory item to round things out because, overall, nothing was bad but nothing was capital-G Great. The staff are super friendly and helpful, but there was no one bussing or cleaning tables, so everything was pretty unkempt. We think it's 3.5 stars, but we're rounding up because we really enjoyed the overall vibe of the place and can see ourselves coming back on future visits.

We walk in and there are 3 molasses ginger cookies in the display. Yes! You read that correctly. Nothing else! 10:30 AM and that was it! Nothing coming out of the ovens. Oh! It gets better! The only other choice was a brisket burrito. Granted the burrito is tasty, but they were out of the sausage biscuit and the veggie burrito. I wasn't surprised by the veggie burrito being sold out as it is very popular and it was 10:30. It is usually gone by then. But for the pastry case to be empty at 10:30 with no plans to restock it. Wow! I was so looking forward to the spinach/artichoke and fruit bars. I always buy extra to put in the freezer, because like I said we go out of our way to stop here.
