Glouphile is a lovely wine bar in Nice. It's in the old harbor area and is very quiet and authentic. Delicious! we enjoyed the tomatoes & buffalo milk Burrata, followed by some wonderful cured meats.
We had Iberico ham, sausages and some great beef that the owner cooked in the oven for us.
Nothing is pre-made, it's all fresh and amazing!
We had several bottles of Chateau Neufchâtel du Pape & Cornas and some lovely local white wines. All reasonably priced and all came with Romain's (owner) seal of approval and explanation of where the grapes grew and in some cases, who the winemaker was.
We spent a delightful three hours eating drinking and talking with the owner and his nephew. It feels as if you are in a wine cave because they have stone on the walls and a lovely sign outside of t winechugger, both make and female that are cut into stainless steel.
As lovely as the harbor area is, with it's beautiful views of those tremendous boats it is also nice to be one block off where it is a little quieter and more of the locals hang out.
Delightful spot that has only just opened. I highly recommend it. read more
