Dining outdoors on a beautiful summer evening surrounded by beautiful buildings and lots of friendly local families. You can't ask for much more. This was the busiest restaurant on this square in Antibes. The brasserie has been open since 1948. I would go back!

TLDR: DO NOT GO HERE I'M SERIOUS…read more wow. Where to even begin, I truly wish there was an option for 0 stars because there is no restaurant that deserves it more than this one. I have never left a review for a restaurant in my entire life, but after this experience I feel I must type one to warn anyone who might consider eating here. To start, we waited 20 minutes after being seated before a wait staff even acknowledged our existence. You'd think there was a black hole where our table was. We had menus closed and we're clearly looking around waiting for someone to take our order, but every staff member that walked by our table ignored us. Finally after an argument among the wait staff, someone was sent over to take our order. He walked up to the table silently and stared at us with no apologies for the wait or any of the normal pleasantries, but despite this my boyfriend and I placed our order giving them the benefit of the doubt. Shortly after, we started to notice all of the discontent customers and thought we should look up the restaurant on TripAdvisor. We immediately regretted our choice of dining. Thinking we would just stick it out, we continued to wait for AN HOUR while every table around us including those who were seated 30 minutes after we ordered received their food. We finally pulled a waitress aside and told her we wanted our order cancelled so we could leave and she assured us it would only be a few more minutes. Stupidly, we believed her. Fast forward 15 more minutes and still no sign of food or wait staff updating us on the status. At this point we had had a couple of drinks and I was uncomfortable getting up and leaving without paying for them as my boyfriend was advocating for, so we left 20 dollars on the table and walked out. It was 20 more dollars than they deserved. The food of those around us looked horrendous, even simple pasta dishes were completely botched and all the customers were unhappy with the service and food. PLEASE save yourself from this hellhole and never make the mistake of going here.

Great place for after meal "wine" down. The proprietress was fun and energetic and set us up with some very potent cognacs. You can also but the various wines and such to take home. Give them a try

La Grande Cave is a winestore where you can enjoy your bottle as it is or togother with light food…read more Selection of wines is small, but good. They have everything from full bodied red wines, whites, rosé and Champagne. You buy the bottle in the store. If you would like to enjoy the bottle at La Grande Cave or just have a glass of the bottle, corkage is €8. The light food is well presented, is of high quality and is very individual depending on the waiter. One dish can be garnished with paprika and strawberries by one and with tomatoes by another. Interesting and authentic! You can also buy wine by the glass. They have red/white/rosé of the day for about €8 with higher quality than neighboring restaurants. The winestore/bar has about 6 small tables in a steep alley located in central Villefranche. During high season there is a calm flow of people strolling by. The environment is beautiful with a glimpse of the harbour. This is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. Maybe buy a bottle, have a glass of it and finish it with dinner at home or at a restaurant nearby?
