A little while ago now I took my Mum to Otley to show her what a lovely little town it is. We'd been having a good old browse and were just about ready to stop off and grab a coffee. Since The Pink Teapot was absolutely heaving we decided to nip in here for a drink. From the outside the cafe looks quaint, with lovely lace curtains and cute windows, and being from Gloucestershire it seemed only right that we tried this place out!
We took a window seat and happened to notice a triptych of three adorable poems, odes to the Gloucester Teas Rooms if you will, declaring the writer's adoration for this cute little cafe! It felt that this already had put us in good stead and so we had a look at the menu. We both went for a cappucino, since coffee was mentioned in the poems, and it was lovely. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was gourmet but the service was fast and friendly and the cafe was truly a relaxing place to stop off for respite.
They have a menu full of sandwiches, cakes and other goodies all at a standard fare. The cafe is sweet and lovely to sit in, especially in the window seat where you can watch the world go by. All in all we had a lovely time so it's certainly on my list of recommended coffee stops! read more
