I have a pro and a con! 3 stars for the service provided and 0 stars because of the cost!!!! This place has always done my nails well, the nail art and the design was just like the picture! My complaint is the pricing!! When I used to go (over a year ago) and got a full gel set with tips, it was maybe 60-70$. When I went this time, they charged me 95$ for my nails... add the tip and it was $110 for a set of gel nails! I realize that i received nail art and designs, but it was maybe a line or two on each nail. nothing that took much time to do. therefor i feel that the pricing was not justifiable for the work. although they are very pretty, they did a great job!!! Well, the folks were nice but we were SHOCKED at the register. We had two girls with us for a polish, which we were clear about up front, which was $20. When we exited, they charged us $50 each and said it was a manicure - they never asked our permission. Two in our group had colors on their toes and it was an extra $1 per toe for color - what? That was not on the board. In fact, polish was stated to be included. Another person had stones on big toes - $10 each. Again, no notice. Happy to pay for products and services but this felt like a nickel and dime at the last second, especially with the kids. And of course there was a credit card fee of 4% to top it off. We would say, ask upfront to be clear about pricing, but we did, to no effect. We will not be back. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I have been there in the past, and in the past a young man did a fantastic job on my toes. Today, he was not there...I went in for a $40.00 (plus tip) pedicure, and what I received was a toenail trim and a 3 minute leg massage. My toenails are still ragged, and the nail tech did not even clean under my toe nails. He did not push back and trim my cuticles. I am old, and can't reach to scrape under my toenails or cut them. That is why I get pedicures. I tried to explain that I needed under my toenails cleaned, and cuticles pushed back, but he just smiled and said "is ok". I am not happy, and my toenails are ragged and rough. I do not recommend. read more

I've never been to a nail salon that doesn't understand what a full set is. I had to explain to them what a service they offer is. I am coming from Jacksonville, FL where I had my nails done regularly by one of the top nail techs in the country - - to this. Needless to say, I won't be back & I really think I'll have to travel to Charlotte to get any type of quality work done. I take part of the blame for thinking a basic nail salon in Hickory, NC could even compare to a top nail tech in the country. I was given a gift card for $42 for Christmas. i walked in and ask for pedicure. it was $35. By the time the gentleman called me back , the water was cold, they were rude and non engaging in conversation. they treated me like a burden I started to leave, but sit through the pedicure. They was speaking in different language in a hateful tone. To make matters worst when i went to pay with gift card , i told him to keep the $7 for a tip that was left on the card. he said no you cant leave tip on card. i wonder if they told that to the person who gave them $42 in December ? Place is clean, comfortable and staff friendly. That is about where the good experience ended. We called ahead and booked an appointment for three people; two mani pedis and one powder manicure. We asked for their earliest appointment and was told 10:30am (they opened at 10am). When we arrived the place was empty and were greated by two nice ladies. They ushered us to different stations and started one on pedicure and one on gel french manicure. The older lady doing the pedicure was nice but took an extremely prolonged time. There was continual long moments of just waiting while they walked around the salon doing laundry and eating. Manicure nail tech was faster but had to cover the pedicure lady to do the final trim and paint. This caused even more delays. Why they only had two people for an appointment of three with walk-ins possible I do not know. Note: they did have a walk-in come in but had to refuse her. The gel manicure was just only satisfactory for a French however she did do a great job painting the pedicure. There was also a bit of a language barrier that caused sister not to get exactly what she wanted. Over all it wasn't the worst experience but we left only getting some of our services done and not fully satisfied with the ones we did get. read more

Read other reviews and stay away. Some credit bc I asked for a design and the lady tried to do what I asked. Also they seem to be trying hard to adhere to covid regs. Like other reviewers stated, nails lack any shape. They look like a worse version of press on nails. I'm not picky so the review I saw that mentioned this didn't phase me. I had no idea how bad it could be or why...but trust me on this one. Also, I brought a pic of shape I wanted. Rounded and close to the tip of my fingers... I had to ask twice to cut them down and the shape was terrible. Jagged edges. Way too long as well. I'm so glad I had a file in my car to knock down the scratchy edges. They gave me no indication of how long I would wait when I showed up. I waited for probably 20min then was taken to chair and my nails sanded to prep by one lady. Then I sat for a while more. And a lady put tips on. Then I sat some more. Then a guy dipped and shaped my nails. And finally the lady finished the design. There was an older gentleman that finished with cuticle oil and lotion...with a decent massage. That was super nice. Overall it was ok (and JUST ok) if in a pinch. I likely won't return bc I wasn't impressed and too far of a drive for me to come for less than impressive results. Place has potential but greatly need to sharpen their skills. read more

If you are looking to gossip and get a glass of champagne look elsewhere.. if you want a decent long lasting basic acrylic or gel for a reasonable price this is it. Sonny is amazing for mani.. he filed away like he is conducting an orchestra, very delicate and the one time he zinged me he seemed to feel it more than I did tho he quickly regained composure. The worst pedicure place ever! As a nail tech myself I have to say this was my worst experience ever! The guy who did my pedicure did not cut my cuticles at all! my toe nails were crooked! didn't even bother to scrub my feet after puting callous remover on! They seemed to honestly want to give the best possible experience to every single person who walked in the door. The staff catered to my every wish while I was there and then oohed and ahhed over my nails with me while I was finished! Definitely would recommend! read more

A man did my pedicure when I was there. Not only did he hurt my legs when he was trying to do a massage, but he also chose a different polish than what I wanted. In addition, during my entire pedicure, he spoke to another male technician in a foreign language. I would not recommend this nail saloon. read more

My first experience at this salon was great. The technician was very competent and didn't make me nervous at all. I usually cringe a bit because some techs are not that gentle. This one knew right away that I have arthritis in my feet and took great care. He also helped me pick out great colors. I was able to get in on a Saturday morning with no waiting. Clean facility, they use spa liners, and friendly staff. That's where the positives end. The older lady that started my pedicure cut my nails to short and shaped them somewhat jagged. The older man came over and reshaped them and they looked much better. He painted my toes and fingernails. He painted down over my cuticles. When I showed the owner he said it was because of the color. So I guess the older man always paints his customers cuticles but some colors are less obvious?? I went to another nail salon the following day to get my nails repainted. I do not recommend this nail salon. read more

This was my third time to have SNS nails @ this salon. I drive one hour to get them done there because I truly believe in the service and their belief in satisfying their clients.On Saturday, I arrived @ 5:30 not knowing their plans to close at that time and go on a much needed Family vacation( Labor Day weekend). When Andy realized I didn't know and had driven that far, he unselfishly said " Please sit down, I'll do your nails anyway. " I apologized and Thanked him for being the Professional with compassion not wanting to interfere with his family plans. I am a 67, and was treated like a queen. Andy took the same time for me as he had done in the other visits. I get lots of compliments on my nails and I can't say enough for their Professionalism. Guy was super rude and completely screwed up my gel polish and left bubbles in it. Got nail polish all over the ends of my fingers (literally cured onto my skin). Lady made my moms cuticles worse and filed her nails horribly. Said the manicure was $15 but made us pay $25 and we left before they even put the polish on it was that bad. We aren't ones to be rude and leave and make a scene but that was unreal. Don't go here. read more
