After moving back to OC after living in Portland the last 13 years, I needed to find a new doctor…read moreto help manage my ADHD, depression, and anxiety treatment and medications. I am so grateful that I was able to find Rica Beck, Dr. Shih, and the entire team at Neuro Wellness Spa! I first met with Rica a few months ago to establish a medication management plan. She made me feel so welcome, and even gave me a tour of the office, which instantly helped me feel at ease. She was so incredibly easy to talk to, and made a real effort to get to know me and understand what currently was and wasn't been working for me. This allowed us to find the best treatment plan, and has set me on the path to success. I also met with Dr. Shih after learning about TMS treatment and how that could help with my depression and anxiety. I've had issues in the past with finding medications that work for me, so learning that this was a possible option really made me excited. Dr. Shih answered all my questions about TMS and made me feel so at ease about starting this treatment. I'm happy to say that I started TMS about 3 weeks ago and for the first time in my life I'm finally seeing relief some from my depression symptoms. While I still have a ways to go, I'm feeling very optimistic about this and the progress I've made so far. It can be hard to find healthcare providers that don't judge you and truly listen to your concerns, but everyone at Neuro Wellness Spa has truly gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome and heard. The doctors, technicians, and front desk staff have been a dream to work with, and I'm grateful everyday that I was able to find them. Everyone should be so lucky to have such a supportive care team!

I have been seeing Dr. Joseph Aguirre for over a year. For context, I had been on various…read moreantidepressants all my life that worked to varying degrees. When I first started seeing him, I was trying to ween off an especially difficult to ween off antidepressant. Joseph helped me with lowering the dosages and scheduling follow ups until I was finally able to get off them entirely. A few months later when my depression crept back and began to severely affect and disrupt my day to day life, I reached back out to Dr. Joseph. He prescribed me an antidepressant that had a profound effect on my wellbeing. I don't always have the best experience with doctors. I feel that sometimes doctors lose their empathy or prescribe medication all willy-nilly to treat a symptom rather than the whole. Throughout my time with Dr. Joseph, I felt that he took the time to listen to my concerns, and cared about improving my quality of life. He was incredibly knowledgeable in his craft and vigilant in finding the perfect dose. He took the time to explain the cons and benefits of different medicines and why he believed this one was the right one for me. I don't believe I would be here today if I hadn't received this quality of care from him and his staff. Neuro Wellness Spa in general has been an amazing company to work with. They were quick to get me started during the onboarding process so that I could see someone as soon as possible. They are kind, professional, and amazing at following up with appointment reminders and sending things out in a timely manner. Thank you to all the staff who have helped me out throughout the years.

If there was a negative 100* that is what I would write about this doctor. I had a negative review…read morethat Yelp removed writing that it is written by a different consumer than who actually had the bad experience. But that is not true. My mother had no idea she had a bad experience with this doctor: I did. Thus all of what I am writing represent my personal opinion and experience and not that of another person. Two people were affected by this doctor: my mother (now dead as a result of Dr. Heh) and me. So yes, I suppose the primary consumer, my mother, cannot write a review, after all, she is no longer alive, courtesy of the malpractice of Dr. Heh. However, she had no idea about all the damage this doctor was doing so all observations herein are mine. 1) Dr. Heh was the Psychiatrist visiting my mother upon her admittance to St. Jude hospital in 2014 and I was there. On that day, Dr. Heh actually went to the wrong bed and started to interview the wrong patient. When he finally came to my mother, he asked questions from her about her age, gender, home address, etc., all answered correctly. The one question my mom could not answer was what hospital she was in, which is totally expected since she was brought there with an ambulance laying down in dark hours so how would she have known where she was: no one told her. Dr. Heh never ever asked me if my mother had a chance to know where she was; he just "profiled her" based on her age when he misdiagnosed her. I questioned him about his diagnosis since I know my mother had no dementia of any kind. He called me names, he told me to get off whatever drug I was on. He was the most unprofessional doctor I have ever met. 2) Because of my mom did not know which hospital she was in, Dr. Heh decided that my mother (then 88) had Alzheimer's, which was totally wrong. My mom had serotonin syndrome (I am a doctor so I know) but no one in that hospital gave me any credibility saying that I was not a doctor in "that" hospital therefore whatever I said was gibberish. His treating me--as described in point 1--was very unprofessional plus he was talking to a doctor. He should have known better! 3) After the misdiagnosis and a ton of medicinal mess ups, my mom died about 7 torturous weeks later in a stroke as a direct result of the medicines received based specifically on the diagnosis of Alzheimer's by this doctor, which she did not have. 4) Upon filing my complaint with the CA Board of Medicine, in spite of the St. Jude records that I have and which shows the date, time and full description of Dr. Heh's visit with my mom and also half the family in attendance as witness, he, under perjury of oath, claimed that he did not even see my mother. I sent the files back to the CA Board of Medicine, which again wanted to sweep the story under the carpet saying "the case is closed" but I insisted and it is now under investigation. This is a doctor who lies; a doctor who twice entered his visit with my doctor on records (both the same) and which may or may not have been wiped from St. Jude's records since he is claiming he never saw her, then later he claimed he saw her only in the ER but none of that is true. He is a liar! 5) I sent my mother's CNS to UCLA for autopsy specifically to see if my mother had any sign of Alzheimer's in the brain: NONE! I was right all along! 6) I most certainly hope that Yelp will not pull this off again saying that it is not by the consumer this happened to: the actual consumer, my mother, is no longer alive as a result of this doctor so what an unreasonable request! However, much of the interaction of this doctor was with me and against me and so my complaint is double! One that he mistreated my mother and caused her death and two he lied under oath, he called me names and was acting the most unprofessional way. I hope Yelp this is personal enough for you not to remove it! It is shared on every social media possible as will any changes you make. Thanks, Dr. Stanton

I love dr. Gudapati. I do wait everytime I go for my appointments. But I'm used to it, her staff is always very nice to me, and Elizabeth always helps me on my refills. I see a lot of negative reviews. I'm truly sorry you did not have a good experience. But she has been great with me over the years!!!!! Thank you dr. Gudapati!!!!

I posted this review review recently and sent Sunny Hills Behavioral Health in Fullerton's office…read moreemail concerns about my treatment from Dr.Sandyha Gudapati and she terminated my services with no notice which includes high dose medications for my mental health that I cannot stop cold turkey. This is called retaliatory PATIENT ABANDONMENT WITH NO NOTICE which puts patients at very high risk. There was no justified reason given why other than a pathetic excuse that they feel that I should find a different provider if I am not happy with her and that they are sorry they cannot meet my needs. They made no effort to meet my needs and they have multiple mental health doctors at that office. I will be reporting her to the Medical Board, the State Board of Pharmacy, etc: Dr. Sandhya Gudapate is very rude,is impatient, does not care about at least me as a patient regarding my symptoms, feelings and situations. She always downplays my feelings and says its just situational and according to her Im doing fine even though tell her Im not. She says I talk too much every time I try to talk about anything or even answer how Im doing. She always just says to get a therapist, which I have tried. The Neuropsychologist I had at Sunny Hills Behavioral Health, Dr. Mina Shalaby, was rude as well and dropped me as a patient when I stood up for myself. They are close friends.Go figure.Despite what he diagnosed me as,and she has even signed her name to it to the Social Security Administration, she wont acknowledge there is anything wrong with me when we talk because she wont listen and she thinks she knows how I feel. She is also being uncooperative and unhelpful about assisting me with getting reasonable accommodation assistance, which involves my medications and diagnosis involving her practice.Dont expect her to respond to emails either. She also takes a long time regarding prescription refills and is always very late for her appointments. Her and the office staff at Sunny Hills dont care if you aren't supposed to be off of your medication for any amount of time. And she absolutely refuses to let me switch medications because accoording to her all meds within the same class of drug are the same thing.Shes wrong about that. She has literally fell asleep during one of my appointments with her.Thats how unprofessional she is.If she was that tired, she could have rescheduled.Especially since Im such a bore to her.She could be held liable to a patients safety for this negligent treatment.
