It's slightly sweet yet has an oak finish almost resembles a tawny or a Porto but with a much lighter finish and not nearly as rich and sweet. The blackberry wine was phenomenal it's not to strong and doesn't taste to much like alcohol it has just the right amount of blackberry and is a much smoother finish than the door country blackberry wine. The cherry cordial is also quite phenomenal it has just the right amount of cherry with a brilliant chocolate finish yet it's not to sweet. I didn't find any wine here I didn't enjoy. It's a shame that the wine they make can only be bought here locally at the winery. Well worth the trip from Wisconsin to Kentucky just to buy a few bottles of this wine. By far one of my favorite wineries that seems to be hidden in the middle of the mountains.
