So looking for a sport bar in the uni-town of Lund? Then no need to look farther! And this is not only cause of the lack of options; it is also cause being a sport bar is what Glorias do best.
My list of expectation for a good quality sport bar is not a long one. To qualify you need good amount and pretty huge selection of beers; drafts, bottled, domestic as well as internationals (meaning not only European). Also needed are large screens and great coverage of domestic as well as international sport matches. These are all areas where Glorias shines. On a more personal note they do also shine in regards of what I refer to as the nectars of gods; Single Malts!
What are lacking, in regards of a sport bar, are the game snacks. One might think the starters could help in this area and don't get me wrong the starters are not too shabby to nibble on as game snack. However they are somewhat overpriced for the quality and quantity. And the worst thing ever is that the most important snacks of all the chicken wings are just awful; on several occasions they tasted freezer burned or feather-ish!
As a restaurant, an American style BBQ place, the spicing is just wrong. The menu looks exciting but upon arrival it's just such a letdown. Almost anything I ever tasted here was bland and I tend to order the dishes that are described on the menu as being zingy or hot. The burger list, again looking very impressing , is a letdown because of the patties being pretty dried and boringly seasoned. The lack of zing together with the prices asked becomes a reason to deduct points however much I like the staff, bartenders, atmosphere, beer and whisky selection! On the weekends the Glorias serve as a night club as well by turning the dinning are in the cellar to a dance floor and is not too shabby but almost always very overcrowded thus very hot and sweaty. It makes me glad knowing that is not my scene anymore! read more
