They have their standard menu and then a reserve menu, where they brew specialty, rare coffees for you and have varieties for both black and milk based coffees. I wish more places had this reserve menu concept, it was very fun to peruse and pick. The only disadvantage was our waiter was kind of pretentious, and I appreciate it when specialty coffee shops have more open and welcoming people. But the baristas more than made up for that - they were patient, kind, and generous with explaining where the coffees were sourced from and the flavors we should taste, absolutely must go and I will be back.

I'm so glad I did. Two (of the four?) brothers have been running a small coffee shop here since August 2013. It's a fairly ordinary, quiet cafe if you want to sit in, or at their outside tables, to enjoy a coffee. But I bought a 250g bag of their beans (they roast them at a roastery up in French's Forest) and took them home; it was a bit steep at $14. In my machine they produced a brown magical elixer that is rich, balanced and robust either as an espresso shot or in milky coffee. Yum. I have since been buying 1kg bags of whole beans. These work out to be 40% cheaper than buying 250g, so if you make a lot of coffee at home (I do) or have vacuum-sealed containers for the beans (I do) then it's definitely worth it. Fantastic coffee, worth looking for, if you're in this neck of the woods.

This café also has a small food selection of things mostly to take away, like premade sandwiches and muffins. Until last week, I would have recommended this place to literally anyone and everyone because of how great the coffee is here. However, they recently increased the price of all their coffees by 50 cents. They said it was because the price of the beans has gone up a lot. While this may be true, if you're a caffeine addict, it becomes easier on your wallet to frequent another café that has similar quality cappuccino but for $2.70 instead of $3.50. The food & service far surpasses many Main Street cafes. The two man team behind the counter know their breakfast with a human touch offering a pleasant mix of light humour and local knowledge. The cafe sits in the foyer of Castle Hill Day surgery - unassuming but the seating is pleasant with plenty of books, newspapers and magazines to read.
