This is a tiny place with a few tables inside and more outside. We sat inside because there were…read morechairs, not backless stools. I had my usual flat white plus a slice of blueberry banana bread. Sonny had a cold latte and brekkie sandwich while grandson had a banana smoothie. My coffee was delicious, with the usual artistic design on top. The generous slice of blueberry banana bread was heated and came with a pat of butter and a tiny ramekin of honey. I dunked a piece in the honey but honestly liked it better without. The smoothie was large, and I thought it might be too much for grandson. Since they use paper straws, he did need another one when the first one collapsed, but managed to drink most of it. Sonny's bacon and egg roll was a perfect soft-cooked egg with spinach, avocado and of course bacon on a soft bun. He didn't comment on it, so he must have liked it. It looks a bit like a hole in the wall kind of place, but the drinks and food we had were on point.

Great place all round…read more Smooth tasty coffee with a few different bean choices for those who want to splurge. I got a cappuccino and it was awesome. Extra points for having powdered coco on top instead of chocolate. Ordered the poached eggs with bacon and spinach which ticked every box a bacon and eggs should. My mates got other things on the menu which looked just as good. There is also a sweets cabinet for those coming here in the afternoon or who can justify eating a Cronut at 9am. Sadly I am not one of those people and so could only look longingly at the cupcakes, brownies and Cronuts- but I am determined to be back to get one! The atmosphere is really relaxed and welcoming. All the tables are recycled spools (I think that is what they are called??) and the chairs have padding made of coffee bean sacks. It's well put together and works for this industrial, beaches location. All the staff are heaps chilled and friendly which only adds to everything. If you are after a be good cafe in Mona- this is the place!

Stroll like a dandy down Dee Why promenade of a weekend morning and you'll see a few cafes with…read morezero people in them and one with all the people in them. Literally all of them, like some giant baby has been using them as toys and is jamming them all into one room of a huge Barbie play house for it's own infantile amusement. It doesn't make any sense, only, it totally does. The cafe is Seachange. and the reason it's so beloved by locals is three-fold: the servings are huge (no fleck of steak on a giant white plate here), they're happy to change absolutely anything on your order without any pissy whining or "No, the chef would kill me" type excuses, and the staff and management are unbelievably friendly. Wulf (sp?) made sure our group got a table inside to protect the little baby we had with us from the sun, and even though he was run off his feet stopped by the table a few times to drop jokes. I had the acai brekky bowl with banana and strawberry and bircher, at $15.90 it's the healthiest way to start the day while still feeling like you're eating ice cream. The Local with tons of bacon, eggs, and a potato rosti is also a winner, as is, oh, pretty much anything on the menu. When you're done, slop across the road and roll about on the beach like a walrus. Trust me, it's great.

One and a half years later, it still has maintained that same quality. Nice and efficient service,…read moregreat portions and good food. The coffee ($3.80) is enjoyable (excellent latte art by the way!) and the view is simply perfect. I love coming here when catching up with friends. Their toasted Turkish sandwiches are still my favourite ($15 and a large portion). Nothing better than consistency and they have it here. Highly recommended!!
