Unfortunately for me, they had sold out of Creme Brulees (I arrived their at 3pm so i guess they must be pretty popular) However, FORTUNATELY for me, since I was already lured into the bakery and gawking at the delicious tarts, I had the urge to purchase two of the tarts (~$10 together) which I do not regret depositing most of my daily calories into. The furnishing of the interior and exterior of the store is quite retro and the feels of raw-ness, but its just the perfect balance. I did notice that a regular cast of family/friends sit at the back of the café shooting the breeze like it's their living room and watching the world go by outside, with no eating or drinking involved (which can be intimidating if you're dining solo). Parking is metered at this end of Parramatta but you can park a little further away and walk. The restaurant faces a courtyard and is next to another similar restaurant; healthy competition? Our waitress was on the ball. Whilst we were four adults on a voucher, we had two children in tow. She was mindful that a baby cino might need more than one marshmallow..we ended up with four. She was clear on what was and what wasn't included in the voucher and double checked on how we wanted our eggs & toast. As for the food....very good and generous portions. We did add to the meal with iced coffee and other drinks. The coffee was very good. The restaurant has seating inside and outside. It is quite open and there is plenty of room to park a stroller. There is also a bar that serves beer and wine. As it was breakfast we gave that a miss this time.

A few times I have driven past picnick view, looking lovingly upon the inside which is decorated like your great aunts lounge room and wondered if the campos sign is for real or just misleading. While I haven't as yet eaten here (the food looks and smells delicious) I'm currently up to my third coffee in one sitting. They make a divine soy latte. The staff are lovely and the coffee the best you'll get out west. It's a little bit of hipster in the western suburbs and I love it. Will come back on a weekend for breakfast & let you know how the food is!

(Side note: The Thai restaurant next door appears to be the same owner and is delicious. The Green Curry reminded me of the fresh markets in Thailand.)
