I am NOT exaggerating when I type that Kara is the holy grail of hair stylists. I have been going…read moreto Kara for about a year now and frankly I don't know how my hair (and I) ever survived without her. Kara goes above and beyond in making you feel beautiful. She truly listens to her clients. You know those situations where you tell your stylist that you want a trim and then they end up cutting off 4 inches? Yea, that won't happen here. She really keeps you looped in to every important step of your hair process so you're never caught blindsided. Also, she gives AMAZING head massages. I first went to Kara after having had a terrible styling experience that made me afraid to get my hair done for over a year. In one session, Kara killed my fear of people butchering my hair. I now trust her so much, that I am starting to get ~adventurous~ with my styles. Last week, we went blonde, a hair goal of mine that I wanted to do for YEARS but was too afraid to take the plunge because I didn't trust anyone to do it correctly. She did such an incredible job that my hair is still healthy and the pattern of my natural wave is intact despite bleaching it. Thanks to Kara, I am now finally living my best blonde life. All rambling aside, in my experience it's very rare to find someone as talented, intuitive, kind, and thoughtful as Kara for a stylist. Every experience with her has been an absolute dream and I am SO happy that I found her. Do yourself a favor and book her IMMEDIATELY.

A Picture is worth 1,000 words. Two consultations with photo examples of the look we wanted to…read moreconfirm what color design we wanted to accomplish, including at the appointment time. What we ended up with was nothing short of a nightmare. I walked in to see my daughter and my jaw dropped, her hair was Bright Red like Ariel from the Little Mermaid. Kara claimed to be a blonde specialist, her brochure says it yet there was no blonde at all in my daughters hair. We consulted regarding balayage and lived in color, which is ideal for low maintenance or a more natural look. What we got instead was dramatic red that looked like a wig with high maintenance and complete damage throughout on her close to virgin hair. What concerned me even more she was gaslighting my daughter in the chair convincing her to like it while I was saying that it was nothing like we asked for nor expected. Moments after we left, I texted Kara to set up a "fix it" appointment which she said was free yet she demanded we pay in full before she would set up appointment. I suggested we pay her half and the remainder when it is fixed, which I thought was a fair compromise. After texting back and forth and a phone call, I was accused of theft of services. An hour or so later a deputy called me to discuss Kara's complaint, he understood our side of things as texts and photos were shared. I was flabbergasted, I never said I wouldn't pay her, I wanted my daughters hair fixed asap as she has a job and was going back to school. I never had an intention to not pay Kara but I was starting to be concerned that she wasn't capable of fixing my daughters hair thus demanding the payment now for a botched job. It was NOT a professional experience in any way and we were beyond disappointed. I contacted the owner of the salon Kara was working out of to seek her advice, she then consulting with her co-owner and they decided to fix my daughters hair the very next morning at 8:00 am. They understood what was wrong as I shared the pictures and texts. We went in the following morning and almost 3 hours later my daughters hair was better but unfortunately it was too far processed to be really want we wanted. An improvement (see pictures). The owner asked me to venmo Kara for the service she provided (not Kara) so I did. The owners of the salon were highly professional.
