Once upon a time this was the only tavern in town. Now it's a restaurant, and a decent one for a big seafood meal.
They do scallops several ways, their specialty. I had the scallop dinner where they were very lightly breaded and fried, and they were fat and delicious. My dad swears by the flounder dinner: a huge portion of tasty white fried fish with sides. Each dish is in the neighbourhood of $11. My wife's clams weren't great, though: too much batter.
The decor's nothing special, it's a typical North American family restaurant: short on ambience, big on portions.
You can stop in for a few drinks in the evening if you like, and they often have live music on the weekends. read more
