Home Instead apparently has issues when CNAs call in sick...etc. and apparently do not have ample staff to cover such events (surprising as this is their business). This has caused our family many issues due to last minute cancelations which is sort of ironic as we need to give 7 days notice for schedule changes but they can do it to us at the drop of a dime. What is VERY upsetting is that recently we gave notice that we would be making a change for our mother's care and gave 7 days notice. Yesterday we received a call telling us that the CNA scheduled could not come for the remaining several days and that there was no replacement either. Thanks for being professional Home Instead!!! Nothing like putting it to us / and our mother on the way out. I only hope that this review doesn't mysteriously disappear like some of the others I see out there. I would urge anyone looking for CNA services to ask a lot of questions and be prepared to jump in at the last minute and cover for the inevitable scheduling issues which we experienced far too often..... oh - and dont tell them your leaving until the last minute or they will leave you hanging!

I took a basic welding class to make a barn star at the Garrison Speed Shop in Mendon,…read moreMassachusetts. I have never welded before or used some of the tools and equipment required. The template pieces were all laid out, but that was it. Co-founder Luke had me read and sign all the releases first, and asked about my experience with welding etc. Being a Veteran myself, Luke as well, and the non-profit supporting Veterans and First Responders, he also made sure to ask me if loud noises or anything would bother me. Every step was explained and demonstrated before I was able to do it, and as nervous as I was at first, it quickly went away knowing he took my safety, the safety of others as well as their shop very seriously. Co-founder Ben also provided some muscle when I was unable to bend the metal myself. In just over 2 hours I had sanded, measured, re-measured, bent , hammered and welded together a really cool one of a kind 5-sided barn star. It was definitely something different to do and it was a really cool and fun experience. 5 stars !

We completed an application online and left a payment. One of our close friends was then contacted as a reference. Next thing I knew we had a home visit scheduled which turned into Spike's first night at our home and a member of our family. It was an easy process and we have a kitten that is very easy going and great with our kids (but not so great with our shower curtain but that's just catnanigans!) I was admitted to Operation ABLE's Work/Study program a few years ago in my late Sixties. I was not…read morelooking to get a Full Time Job but I did know I wanted to either learn some Technical Computer Skills which I never thought I would ever learn at my age so that I could do some part time work somewhere or a Home Business which definitely would need Excel, Word, and make Presentations. I also learned while there they had a 'Medical Terminology Course', which would feed my previous Army Medical background and learn more up to date terms for work at a Hospital or similar area. The many weeks I was there; with the absolutely patient, understanding, and very loving and talented 'Friends' made there; I have made my life ; because of Operation ABLE's Staff much more enjoyable; and made money I never dreamed of. Let us all support this program as long as God keeps us here. They will always be part of my Heart's 'Family' and I wish them well........ A Check is on the way. Well Deserved.
