He went to pay and left a 20% tip. She pulled out her phone and typed 'tip too little," and flexed on him 3 times through the massage and at the end when he paid. I booked an appointment with her with the intent of getting cupping (an additional $10 from her 1 hour price). When I arrived, I told her the thought of it sort of freaked me out and that I wasn't sure if I wanted to go through with it. She told me she'd start massaging and see if she thought it was necessary. As she began, she said she didn't think I needed it but we could try it if I wanted to. *Phew!* I was happy to pass on it - especially because my appointment was in the middle of summer and I wasn't too thrilled at the thought of having giant circles all over my back. (Although, I will note - many of my friends have had cupping done from her and they have the best things to say about it! I'll try it at some point, just probably not during swimsuit season!) We decided a deep tissue massage was best for me. I told her I wanted the focus to be on my upper back, neck and shoulders as that's where I carry my tension. And you know what? She spent the entire hour focusing on that! (Emphasizing this because I've gone to other therapists, and they insist on doing a little bit of work on my legs, etc.) I was so thrilled that the problem issue I came in for was what she addressed. I also told her to feel free to use as much pressure as necessary to get those knots out - which she did - and it was awesome! The massage was relaxing, I left feeling looser in my shoulders and I experienced lots of relief from the tension I had been carrying. It was wonderful! Her prices are amazing! $50 for one hour. For her expertise and ability to go in and target specific issues, that is a steal! Beyond this, Nicole is so wonderfully kind, personable, and makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed.
