Glo30 offers a line of skin care products to match your skin's needs. I first stopped into Glo30 looking for sunscreens without oxybenzone since my sunscreen had run out. I found sunscreen and was surprised by how much more they offer. Their products have a unique combination of anti-aging antioxidants, an effective sunblock and a replenishing moisturizer! The staff at Glo30 are easy to chat with and gave no pressure to buy or sign up for anything, but I did pick up a brochure and asked about their facials. After chatting with the staff, I convinced myself to sign up for a monthly facial membership. There are three levels of membership to choose Glo30from, but my favorite is the FreshGlo Membership. At $79 per month, it's more than fair for an hour long session of treatments including an upper body massage with a bonus of 10% off all products in the store. It's easy to book your session in the store or online, and a massage of your neck, face, arms, and hands as well as multiple skin treatments designed just for you after they analyze and photograph your skin, are absolutely delicious. Glo30After each session, my skin really does feel refreshed and rejuvenated. Treatments here range from feeling like a light mask you might put on at home, through microdermabrasion, which is like a tiny tiny sander, a mildly abrasive instrument the technician uses to gently sand your skin, removing any uneven outer layers. It's used for reducing the appearance of scars, or freckles and dark spots. Depending upon what your skin needs, they might use chemical peels or light therapy as well as masks with medical-grade ingredients to reduce wrinkles, boost vitamins, and volumize through hydration. I never ever thought I'd want any of this, but our life here in DC is busier, and dirtier than I could have imagined. Back when this place was Blush I used to be a member then we moved out of DC for a bit. We just moved back to the Navy Yard area during the pandemic and I rejoined the membership. I can't tell you how much I missed this place. I cannot find a better place then this for the price, the treatments, and just the entire experience! The facials are so good and each month they have a new facial. My favorite facial so far though has been the Matcha facial they do and I get the microdermabrasion too. All the estheticians have been friendly and do a good job. I used to go to Jana back in the day but these days she books up early. So I've been with Dominique a few times and she's been wonderful too. I started getting botox here after the pandemic. I never feel like they push more things on me. My previous botox place was always trying to get me to do some fillers - it was uncomfortable. I like that at Glo they don't do that and it's just a relaxed atmophere. The parking at the can be a nightmare so I don't drive when I know it's busy down at the Wharf. I usually try to uber since I live so close. read more

I had to pay for a $90 consultation to find out it's $20 per unit when all is said and done which is twice what it typically costs. They will charge per "area" but only give you 20-25 units for $400 unless you sign up for a $1,500 package then it drops down to $12 per unit which is still over market average. read more

A friend of mine suggested this place as she's been a customer for about a few years now. I learned about the monthly subscription and figured I would give it a try since it's a different facial every month. Background - I never got facials from a professional before but always tried home remedies and face masks. I have T zones and very old acne scars. I started the subscription in the fall and my acne scars have gotten lighter and my skin tone is more even. It's made the biggest difference of my life! My go to lady Shahin also suggested a humidifier and one of the best scrubs. She's super knowledgeable and the one hour spent at Glo30 goes by way too fast. I wish it was longer! Oh and one of my favorite things is that they switch up the treatment every month based on the weather or how you're skin is. Technician kept asking what kind of products I'm using and I listed a bunch of products I purchased at sephora. Then she kept asking what are the real ingredients and I mentioned a few she said that's it? You don't know what's on them? Hey! If you want your clients to show the products their using you should tell us to take pictures of every skin products I'm using. Also, this place doesn't do a real facial. They just put a bunch of masks and roll random rollers on to your face. Go somewhere else. Find a real spa that use medical grade products and find an aesthetician that doesn't make you feel like an idiot instead of being pampered and trying to help you and your skin. read more

I have been a member since March 2018 and I am so happy with my monthly facials! My favorite esthetician is Yana. She's very knowledgeable and makes me feel so relaxed. I love that they use natural products with quality ingredients. My skin has definitely improved since I started getting these monthly facials and I am loving the results. Glo30 is the perfect place to take care of your skin a monthly basis. I am subscribed for the $79/month facial package. It's a great way to get your impurities extracted, a mini neck/facial massage, skin treatment (that changes monthly-sometimes they're masks, or popsicles, it really varies), and overall skin glow! They'll do a before and after of your face each time, which is helpful to see! This is my 4th month and I'm definitely seeing some progress (maybe just because I'm starting to care more about my skin and buy expensive products? idk?) regardless, the sessions are informative and it's a great way for me to completely relax by myself for an hour which busy schedules make hard to do! I walked into this place wanting to try out the membership and was heavily disappointed. The three Ladies that were there were just sitting behind the desk eating and talking not concerned about me being there. I asked about the member ship and was given a very lazy explanation by a lady who was telling me my skin would be "revived" when I already have very clear skin. Oh and by the way, none of them actually use this Glo30 product as it was very apparent by their sloppy appearance. I have been going to Shahin for over a year now. I religiously only go to her because she knows my skin and only does things that are good for me. I have acne prone skin with red undertones and have tried some other people before her and my skin only got worse. Since going to Shahin, I have also lost weight and been healthier. Meh at best. Not a member but wanted to try out so I booked a level 2 treatment. First no one could answer my questions regarding parking (called 4 times and each time no one was able to answer questions and said they'd find out and return a call with info, no one ever did). Second, bathroom was out of toilet paper and paper towels. Third very noisy and not very relaxing. You could hear the receptionist loudly talking and laughing and they even dropped a bunch of product. Overall it was 'fine' but without membership it is over priced. Even with membership I'd argue you probably aren't getting your moneys worth... BUT add it the poor service customer service, lack of knowledge, and state of this particular location, I wouldn't recommend after my experience. read more

She's worked amazing magic on my skin in under a year and when I came to her I was in a pretty bad place with my skin. This company is getting a one-star from me because their customer service is awful and their actual skin care services are not good enough to make up for it. The facials, peels, etc. are fine, but nothing to write home about for what you're charged each month. (For instance - some of the techs actually leaving you sitting by yourself in the room for 20 minutes, instead of giving you a neck massage or something else while you wait for the mask to work.) However, it's close to impossible to get someone on the phone, when you do you're often on hold for 10 minutes, no one responds to emails, there are so few techs you have to make appointments weeks out, and with all the rules on how often you can use the services, it's a wonder how you end up going once a month. And do not even attempt to cancel the membership for something legitimate like moving or relocating. It's easier to change bank accounts than it is to stop paying for services I will never be able to use. Great concept; ok product; absolutely lousy implementation. read more
