Lily specifically not only has helped me with every machine but is also super friendly and down to earth, she gave me the initial tour but continues to remember me every time I visit. Even though I joined with a monthly membership of $70.00 a month, everything is an up charge. I normally don't give out reviews but I was treated very poorly at this location by one of the leads or senior employees at the store. I expressed that I lived out of town and was here for work but that I needed a simple spray tan for my upcoming trip this Wednesday. I work double shifts otherwise I would have gotten the service elsewhere closer to my home. After filling out the paperwork and agreeing to the pricing and terms and conditions, the employee kept repeating herself in a sense they couldn't do what I asked for which was a single spray tan. She virtually made it impossible for me to get the tan done within the timeframe I was hoping for since I was going to my double, a 24 hour shift. I did advise I was a bit pressed on time and keep in mind there was little to no customer volume at the time. I was still interested and adamant that I wanted to get the tan done. I had advised to her that I understood their terms and I was still willing to proceed with the necessary conditions to receive a single tan but I couldn't commit to a membership at this time due to the distance of me living in the Tampa area. The employee kept saying she would need to give me a tour that would take well over 30 minutes and then she advised that it would take longer if other customers needed assistance and she would stop helping me and step out to help the newer employee and prioritize the other customers during my tour further prolonging the service I was trying to get. At this point, I still had about an hour left before I had to start my shift and did advise the employee however I still was willing to do what she required of me and I was still patient and understanding. Despite that, she kept cutting me off saying I was rushing her and started to talk to me in a very confrontational manner. The employee didn't handle the interaction at all professionally and made me very uncomfortable at this point. Still... after all of that, I was still willing to go through the whole process and pay extra due to the fact I really did need to get the tan done before my trip this upcoming Wednesday. After a few more minutes of tedious back and forth conversation, I still wanted the service, tried to pay for the spray tan and accepted her terms. Then the employee proceeded to walk around the counter and was still very condescending with me. Then had still proceeded to ask me if I still wanted to proceed with the tour while still being very rude and standoffish. At this point, I looked at both her and the other employee there at the time and said I would have to pass due to her being too hostile with me. Overall, I'm very upset with the service and don't find it very appropriate or professional. If I'm a customer who is wanting to do a simple request and willing to pay more for the packages that was "required" to get with a spray tan and accept all the terms and conditions (including the 30 minute tour) I shouldn't be treated that way and be unwelcome. It is not a professional way to handle a customers inquiry and/or request and not a way to handle any potential future business with that customer. Unfortunately, I personally don't see myself recommending this business or ever considering going back. If you are looking for any simple service here, I would recommend somewhere else due to the negative interaction, unwillingness to help provide the service requested, and the poor and rude customer service I was given. read more

I had previously purchased a tanning package from a company at this location that did not disclose he was selling his company. When the new business opened, which is Glo Tanning they refused to give refunds but gave in store credit. I asked that if I use my credit for tanning and I want to cancel my membership when my credit is used up when and how did I need to go about this. I was told my credit gets me through the month of April and if I want to cancel for May 1st I had to go on glotanning.com by April 20th to freeze my account. However, on April 1st they charged my credit card. I called their customer service twice and was forced to leave a voicemail. I did not receive a return call. Today I went directly to the business and the manager working apologized but can't do anything about the billing so she called the billing company, explained the situation and they cancelled my membership and once again said they would call me and have not. So, I have paid with my credit and with my AMEX on April 1st but have no services. This company has been very unethical and at this time I just want the refund of $77.47 back to my AMEX and I will never do business with them again. They also try to upsell CONSTANTLY!! Because I had such a large credit amount the gal tried to sell me bodysuits and thermal creams for every spa treatment. So, I bought a thermal cream and used it once and when I was going to go into the same spa bed I mentioned I had my cream and another gal told me "that can't be used in that spa pod you need to buy this body suit instead". Needless to say I didn't use the spa treatments again and was going to just use my credit for tanning and then be don e but instead theystarxed charging my card a month before my credit ran out!!! How am I the first review?! This place is absolutely amazing. I recently moved back to the area and was a die hard south beach tan and decided to try a different spa... and that's exactly what this is a SPA that not only does not require appointments, has more then expected out of any standard tanning salon. Memberships are outrageously affordable, staff is amazing, and new members get a mad discount on products. let me repeat myself for the people in the back, STAFF IS AMAZING! - helpful, honest, friendly and knowledgeable. 25/10 recommend at least visiting for a tour. My "glowing" review: Be mindful when you go in for 1 time use, I was somehow charged for a membership and wasn't told by the girl working there. She tried to get me to do a membership, but I told her NO several times, I don't do memberships. All she said was I was signing for spray service that day. When I used their services that one time, for a spray tan, I did not have a good experience as the girl originally told me 6 hours to set and when I was leaving told me 24hours to set, and when I confronted her she got rude and lied that she didn't tell me that. Since the 1st time I went there in June, I've been dealing with major health issues. When I discovered this month I had reoccurring charges for a few months, I went in to cancel after a doctor appt to get a refund. The girls now working there were very nice and informative, they told me the girl who signed me up was fired. I couldn't cancel there, I had to call a service line. Then it was a struggle to get customer service to understand I was not told I signed up for a membership and even so I cannot physically use their services now due to a major health condition. I asked to cancel the account and provide a refund and she then stated they have a "no use, no refund" policy. Which makes no sense but it's 2023 and everyone just wants a piece of the pie. And of course I didn't use the sessions, 1- I didn't know I had a membership and 2- I can't physically use their services due to my health. She then offers to freeze my account so I could use the sessions I had paid for. Again she wasn't understanding, I can't physically use them. And then again she tells me my membership can be canceled and I wouldn't get a refund, I told her I would just write a review on my experience, so here I am! She then tells me oh wait I can send your refund in for approval it will take 3-5 business days to approve..... I have no more words! I'll update if I actually get my refund or not. read more

I went to Glo today for the first and last time. Upon arrival, I stood at the counter and waited several minutes for the person behind the counter who using a computer and could see me, to acknowledge my presence. He couldn't look up at me so that I would know he knew I was there. He finally finished what he was doing and said hello. I was a member at SavanaTan and thought perhaps Glo would have the database of the SavanaTan customers. He said they did not. I was surprised, but accepted that and then asked for a menu or list of what they offered and prices. There was nothing posted anywhere. He said they didn't have that and if I wanted that information I could go online. I said I am standing right here in your business and you want me to go online to see your prices? He said yes, but he could take me on a tour if I wanted. He then said I could buy a monthly tanning package for $69 and that's all they had. I told him that I don't tan very often and wouldn't use it. I just wanted to use a bed today (like at every other tanning salon). He said if I wanted to do that it would cost $45 for one time use. I told him that price was outrageous and he began spouting something about the government taxing UV light. I told him not to blame the government for Glo ripping off customers who don't want to buy something they won't use. I've been told the tax he spoke of is 10%, not enough to charge $45 for 8-10 minutes in a tanning bed. I drove 20 minutes to Extreme Tan (Beautifully Bronze) on Beneva Rd, spoke with Brian, paid a very reasonable price and received what I had asked for. Way too expensive to the point of price gauging. The spray tans are splotchy and not worth having unless you upgrade per tan. Upgrading per tan totals an extra 25.00 per spray tan, so this equals 169.00 a month to get a good spray tan! The beds do not work half the time. When you call to put your membership on hold you are transferred to an answering service out of China, as no one local cares enough to be available. Then, you are told that you are out the money to put it on hold until the first of the following month. So, if you call in the middle of a month to put it on hold you are charged for half the month even if you cannot use it. The employees are constantly leaving, as they do not get paid enough to stay. Yet, the owner is making enough money to expand. Not fair. This company does not care about people. I can do my own self tan or will return to the upgrades at Zoom Tan where there is no price gauging. read more

I have been going here for six months and absolutely love it. There is a variety of beds so that you can build a great tan. It is super clean, beautiful, and organized inside. All the staff is so kind, welcoming, and really willing to help out in anyway possible. I am so happy here and after being here would never go to another tanning company. The place is clean and I always feel comfortable laying in the beds.
