I love the employees here. They are all so sweet. Beds are great and place is clean and welcoming. My only complaint is that one has to call to reserve a bed and they allow clients to call BEFORE they even open to reserve. If the location isn't open then ppl shouldn't be able to call beforehand to reserve beds. The location isn't technically open. Reserving a bed turns into a radio call in competition. Other locations like cypress have an online option which is WAY more fair to all the paying clients. read more

I would like to add an update to my previous review. This year I decided to give Glo another try with a one month unlimited membership. I love their beds as they tan well and are so comfortable. Each time I went there were multiple employees at the desk who were very friendly and professional. One day I had to wait just a little bit and they offered me a free spa sample for my troubles. I'm not sure if it is new ownership, better employees or just a timing thing but my experience for the month was nothing less than stellar. So glad I gave it another chance. read more

Outstanding service! Paige took the time to explain EVERYTHING... it's just outstanding! And then there's the Living Social deal I bought that brought me here. $40 for 30 days of all of their beds (not just the level 1), sauna, hydration station, and 4, count'em 1, 2, 3, 4 body wraps. It's a ridiculous value! I will be taking advantage of it all! The Hydration Station is a little scary at first glance but bring your headphones and listen to music while you relax in this amazing little pod of happiness. It's like laying in a steam sauna for 20 minutes (exept for your face) while getting a massage and having nice cool air gently blown across your face as though you were laying on the beach on a warm summer day. GEEEEZUS I didn't want to get out, but when I did, I was not sweaty at all. I felt like I had just come out of a nice warm shower. Being a Mystic tanner for years, I was a little anxious about switching to the Versa BUT I can safely say now that I will never go back to Mystic. The VersaSpa provides a much more even tan and my skin does not feel sticky after spraying. I will definitely write an update after my wraps but for now I'm an EXTREMELY happy camper! For the record, the 2nd time I went in, I was greeted by Kelsey who was just as great as Paige when it comes to friendliness and service. We are 2 for 2 on staff so far! Way to Glo Sun Spa. The girl was super helpful and helped me decide on getting a spray tan instead of possibly burning the day before Easter since it has been a while since I have tanned. I go to the Glenloch location and love it!!! They have great customer service and the Manager, Natalie, is fantastic at her job, very welcoming and accommodating! I have the Luxury Spa Membership but really just use the spa services and only tan maybe once or twice a month. I use the Wellness Pod almost every week, twice and then get a red light facial ... my two favorite services. The Pod is fantastic to use if you had a hard workout, sore muscles, feeling a little under the weather or really just need to de-stress! Since I've been going and using both pods (wellness & hydration) and the light therapy, my skin looks and feels great and a plus is I've lost some inches all over! Buyer beware. Tanning service was good, but when you decide that you want to cancel it is very difficult. Has to be in person, has to be before the 10th of the month and when you do get into sign the paperwork they continued to bill me for 6 months after that. No good will to help get refund for the several months before I was able to physically come in and cancel. No customer service or goodwill for customers at all. read more

Love this place!! Being that I'm a melanoma survivor, I don't like tanning beds and feel they are terrible for you since that is how I got mine. I do however love the Versa Spa!! I have the unlimited package and just found it included the hydration station. I fell in love as it is so refreshing. It kinda scared me at first since it brought back the feeling of being in a tanning bed and was very hot. The staff here is always so nice and helpful! I never complain but feel that this spa is so shady and deceitful! I bought a groupon for 3 FIT body infrared body wraps and when I arrived at the spa the attendant working said in order to use this groupon I had to buy additional products, a body suit and spray in order to use service (NO WHERE IN THE GROUPON DOES IT SAY THIS -I read the fine print)! Not only is everyone here rude, but they told me that a Groupon that I was looking at could be used there after redeeming it at another location. So I purchased the Groupon thinking I can use the salon right down the street from my house, redeemed it at the other location, and then went to get my first spray tan of the month and they told me they weren't going to honor that Groupon. I did not have a great experience with the Versa giving my daughter a deep dark tan required for the bright lights at cheer competition. The tan would be good for having a nice skin tone for a night on the town or for every day color The owner, Steve, was very helpful in suggesting ways that the machine work better for us. We will try again with his suggestions. Just a side note: after talking to Steve, and changing my initial rating, returned to Glo for one of my last 2 tans the promises that were made were not documented in my account. read more

First I would like to point out the most important thing that I find so good about the salon.I've been to many over the last 10 years and they keep there tanning beds extremely clean and sanitized opposed to some of the other tanning salons I've been to.The staff is extremely helpful and kind to me every time I come in. The staff mentioned that they were renovating the salon but I really don't know how they could make I better than it is. Thanks for all of your hospitality girls. Exceptional Sun Spa. Here's my review I went during open house which is crazy but wanted to try a few things. The hydration station did not work after 2 attempts still could not get it to work. Went back on the extended open house and was still not working. The manager was awesome and tried her hardest to fix it. She said she put 2 credits so I could try it later. With that being said the management at Spring Cypress is the best, great place with lots of variety. Love that they offer open houses (otherwise would not try some of the equipment). Great place to get s beautiful spray tan and red light therapy. I will update to let you know if they make good on hydration station Update tried the hydration station and I hated it! This is such an awesome salon. I've been to many salons, even worked at one, and this place is so nice and very clean. The girl at the front (didn't catch her name, she's blonde) was super nice and explained a lot of the spa amenities to me, and honored my Groupon. $32 for a whole year of basic level tanning, then she told me about a promotion where I get a month of the next level up if I buy a lotion, I have a ton from previously working at another salon, so I bought a facial lotion. I have a membership that allows me to go to any location but I live about 45 minutes from this location, I called before I ever even left my house to see if their Hot yoga and shower was in good working order before I made the long drive and they told me yes. I planned do you use both before I spray tanned. After I got sweaty in hot yoga I was extremely upset to discover that the shower did not work at all, the steam did not turn on and it didn't even drain, gross! I had to rush home to shower quickly to go to my main location so that I could spray tan before my big event the next day. I was very upset that so much of my time was wasted because someone couldn't bother to check if their equipment was working or not. I have had other issues at this location, too. It's a shame this is one of the only ones that has hot yoga. Their store is nice and so are the employees but I can't stand to have so much of my time wasted. Please keep your equipment in working order and let every employee know if something isn't working. The shower should have had a note saying it was broken. Also, no employee or has ever been able to turn on the steam shower even when it was working, I had to get my husband on FaceTime to help because them employees didn't even try. Please train your employees on how to use all of your available equipment. read more

I love Glo Sun Spa! They have amazing services and products. The only problem is the employees never explain anything! Half the time, I don't even know what I'm buying or signing up for. They tell me one thing, then I come in another day and it's completely different. They need to be better trained in customer service skills to better assist and explain things to customers. I would like to mention how sanitary this location is. I have come to this location for over 2 years now, and I have always been pleasantly surprised by how clean their facility is. As soon as you walk out of a room, someone walks in there to clean it so that another customer can use it right after. I've never been in any room that hasn't been well stocked and clean (also smells amazing)! Overall, Glo Sun Spa is the best tanning salon in Houston in my opinion. I have been a member of this spa for 4 years! And I absolutely love it! There are so many options of personal care that I didn't get at Darque Tan. The beds, fit Wrap, well EVERYTHING is ALWAYS super clean. And I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE all the sweet ladies who work there. I feel at home when I arrive every time. This is literally the worst place I've been too. The employees are very rude and so is the manager! I called and asked her about the open house specials and she was so not helpful! All she told me was that open house season is crazy, thanks but I don't care it's not what I called you for. I've only gotten a spray tan here once and it honestly wasn't even that good but decided to give them another chance, I shouldn't have even bothered. I really love the Glo Sun Spa I generally go to off of kuykendahl in Spring but this one was terrible. First off, I bought a Groupon a week ago today and with that Groupon I was supposed to get 2 free services in the first week but for whatever reason the girl at this location told me that my services had expired.... At first I figured ok whatever no big deal, but then there was a 10 minute wait for the basic bed which the girl made sure to include by saying "we'll because you're only using a basic bed there is going to be a wait." Then, while I was waiting 2 people came out and the girls working finished their conversation before going to clean the bed, so at this point I had been waiting for a while and was in somewhat of a hurry but still was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. However the final straw was when I requested my bed in the first place I said I wanted to tan the full time and the girl said ok, but then when I went to tan I was extremely confused by why my bed shut off after 6 minutes (this was a 15 minute bed)... I got out, got dressed, and went and inquired about this. One of the girls working went on to tell me that I have been using nicer beds (only because they came with my Groupon as well during the first week) and because I was now using a basic bed that was the longest I could go for risk of burning.... I have been tanning for 10 years off and on in a tanning bed and have never burned and this was a ridiculous excuse!!!!! Even if this was there policy I should of been informed when I said I wanted to go for the full time but instead she told me I was all set to go. I get married this month and don't have many days that I can go tan between now and then so I was extremely disappointed by this..... I will never return to this location, they really made the whole thing a terrible experience for me and if this is where I would of started my membership I wouldn't go back read more

We have been a loyal customer for the last two years - This evening we called a few mins ago and asked when this location closed and we were informed that it closed at 7:00. We arrived at 6:58 with the doors unlocked, Open sign on, and greeted by Hannah - only for her to turn my daughter away. (I realize that we were cutting it close, but we called ahead and I am sure she knew it was us, when we arrived) It wasn't like there weren't other's in some of the tanning beds as there were several cars parked in the lot - and the businesses around Glo were closed. They have done this before to people we knew...and they decided to take their business elsewhere.. ( turned girls away when it was getting close to quitting time) and I swore if they ever did it to me.. I too will leave. It's not like we were asking Hannah to stay for a 30 min. bed tan, it was a 5 min. spay tan in the Versa machine, that self cleans when you are done. Anyway, the customer service by some of the staff is less than acceptable, especially when you are spending over a $1000 a year for convenience - and you have the staff making you feel like you have inconvenienced them by walking in right before closing. Glo is amazing! I've been to tan places before and had memberships here and there but it's easy to become a number. At Glo on Spring Cypress they are welcoming, kind, and very informative. I grabbed a Groupon to try them out and I'm very happy I did. Nothing is a sales pitch, it's all about educating and doing what I am comfortable with and I value that! I have been using Glo for about 3 months now, and hands down of all the places I've tired before, they are the best! I've visited both the Cypress location and The Woodlands. I have to say, The Woodlands facility is my favorite, but that's just a personal preference, as both facilities are fantastic. I am on a family plan with my roommate where we have access to all the beds except the "magic/matrix" bed. We get the hydration, as well as the wraps, and unlimited spray tans all for $99/month, which boils to about 50 per person which in my book is a ridiculous deal. The staff is very knowledgeable about all the beds, as well as the lotions and other products they sell. Also, when you are in a family plan you get a discount on lotions amd sessions in the Matrix bed! I highly recommend them!! read more

I go to every Glo sun spa in houston - I love my membership. Honestly the equipment is great, they keep it clean, and they do good about keeping you updated with promotions. But Out of the entire line, this location has horrible customer service. The full-time blonde girl, which I assume is the manager, is the most unfriendly person I've ever seen. I've had two family members cancel their memberships because of how awful she is. I had a friend give this place a try once, but also said that she felt so unwelcome by the unfriendly you-know-what at the front. this girl is running customers away. Get rid of her and take on nice, friendly staff that are welcoming to your beautiful establishment. read more

I had a membership here a few years ago, but I was not on a contract. I paid about $60/month. I had to get a new debit card and since I was not in a contract and hardly ever used the membership, I didn't even think about canceling. I went in today to start a new membership and was told I had a past due balance of $180 from 4 months worth of them trying to debit my old card number. How in the world do I have a balance when I was not in a contract and never used the service? I think that is very unfair and poor business practice...especially since I was going in to buy a new membership. I drove down the road to E-Z Tan on Louetta, where I found the prices were better and the front desk person much more helpful and friendly. read more

Very disappointing. I would give zero stars if I could. I purchased a Hydrafacial as I was going to be attending a wedding. The employee working was not sure what appointments were available and said that the manager would call me the next day. After a couple days I went back in and asked again since I hadn't heard back and was told the same thing. A few days later I requested a refund and was told they could not refund my money but I finally heard back from the manager. The manager told me she didn't know why they didn't schedule my appointment and was sorry for the confusion. So I was finally able to schedule my appointment. About an hour and a half before my scheduled appointment I received a call canceling as the employee who was supposed to preform the facial had a dentist appointment but I could reschedule or try to make an appointment at the Market Street location. I felt the whole experience and response was completely unprofessional. read more

Just noticed my bank statements and this location has been charging my card for 3 more months. The manager Carrie couldn't reimburse me with anything and didn't seem to care at all about my money. Wouldn't refer anyone else to this location! Horrible customer service, especially from a manager. I bet they are loving the free money. read more
