R&B made it clear that not only were there a ton of gamers in the area whose needs weren't being addressed whatsoever, but that a knowledgeable staff and a stable space were all that was needed to give that community a home. Also, to be so inclusive of women that my longtime gamer buddy's wife was stunned when she walked in and was not only one of several women in the building, but the only one not actively buying or playing... that's how you start to need double the space. I'll admit, I don't like seeing this place go and I'm not a fan of the trend I'm seeing. We lost the town's only bookstore to Beaverton. Retro Game Store's gaming club and Gongali also moved from west of 185th to Beaverton. If Hillsboro and Forest Grove can't find the space for businesses like these--the ones that actually build communities, create third spaces, and encourage people here to join in and become part of something--they're going to keep losing both business and interest to Beaverton, Portland, and other places that are generally more encouraging. Thank you for my cherished copy of King of Tokyo, more Warhammer gifts than I likely should've purchased my friend, and all of the hours you set up shop for your regulars and newcomers. You're some of the good guys in Downtown Hillsboro, and the place will be less welcoming in your absence.

Used games are a bargain. Card shop is always above market and they are rude. They are argumentative and unfriendly. Only sealed product. No singles. I reached out to them while hunting for an out-of-print game, and although they didn't have it in stock, the staff went out of their way to provide helpful advice that ultimately led me to find it elsewhere. As we entered, we were greeted by an employee who told us that if we had any questions then we could ask anytime. We were just browsing at the moment and saw that they had a huge collection of board games to look at. I loved their Halloween decorations in the store! One issue we had was when we wanted to check out the TCG section but it is in a separate room with a locked door. We wanted to go in but the employee was busy at the moment so we had to wait several minutes before we could go in. It felt awkward for us as we didn't want to interrupt or rush the employee but after waiting, the employee was kind enough to open the door and let us look around. We got a One Piece pack and while we were purchasing, we were told that they have a rewards program that is free to join so we decided to join that too in case we come back. The prices seem fairly priced so it is definitely a great spot to buy board games or TCGs.

After reading some negative reviews and striking out at the local Pokemon vending machine, we…read moredecided to try our luck at Packsmith, and lucky we did. They were selling some zygard collection boxes at retail and we snatched those up! Also 6 packs at retail also!? Sure. There were some things that were market but what do expect? They didn't have shelves of sealed Costco product so I was happy and willing to spend my money here. Happy we did, ripped some great packs from here. Small collection of loose bulk but a large arrange of things. Day 1 was busy, lots of staff, lots of customers; day 2, no staff, back log of customers, but the staff that was there was hustling. Worth the stop if there's a new drop. Enjoy!
