I went happily into this store to buy a birthday gift for a sweet 5 year old girl. I got excited…read moreover the selection of many of her favorite things. As I talked to the clerk about how cute things were and how hard it was to decide, she snubbed me and grabbed the items and started ringing them up. I told her I was still deciding and to help the next person. Once I decided, she rang up my items. I asked if she could gift wrap and she snapped that there was no gift wrapping during the sidewalk sale. I said ok, but could I have a piece of the ribbon they usually use? Once again snapped, " no, we aren't doing any of that!" Another clerk came in and the first one was busy with another customer. I asked second clerk if it was be possible to get a box so that I could wrap my gift myself. The first clerk yelled across the counter and said I already told you we aren't doing any of that. Maybe she was annoyed by me, but I nicely asked and I believe I was kind to her. I told her she could try to be nicer. Once again, she rudely snapped , "I was nice!" My happy mood when I walked in disolved immediately. Maybe a sign should've been posted that during the sidewalk sale they won't give boxes or a gift wrap and the gift wrap could be put away in the back. With today's online ordering trend, I would think that the store would want to be especially nice to its customers. I understand it's very hard to run a small business in this day and age. I will likely take my business elsewhere.

This is a really cute clothing store featuring screen printed designs. The designs are fun and…read moreplayful, and feature animals, fun sayings, and unique color palettes. The store is chock full of sweatshirts, t-shirts, and more. I found a sweatshirt that I liked but they didn't have my size, so an employee told me I could probably find it online. I did look but couldn't see it there, so it may just be luck of the draw if you are looking for something specific. They had a big clearance section in back that we looked through - I saw a lot of cropped tees which I know are popular but definitely not for me. Classic styles can still be found at Marushka though. Some of the prints were just a little too whimsical for me to consider wearing, but I did enjoy looking at them and they brought a smile to my face. I think that's part of the whole point - so even though I didn't purchase anything, this shop still brought me joy. Definitely a great spot to find kids' clothes.

My friend and her young daughters and I had a terrific time perusing the eclectic offerings, including tons of great vintage and legit labels. We were offered coffee, and the gal working was super welcoming. Prices are a touch on the high side, but there are some great sales (all pink and green tickets were 25% off on our visit, and they always have sales on Mondays, which makes it a doubly delightful day to visit). My friend's kids were over the moon at the fancy outfits they found for the Captain's Dinner on their upcoming cruise.

Typical Walmart The guys who are to collect carts in the…read moreparking lot are a very slow moving bunch. No sense of urgency or perhaps just bored of that mundane job. In all fairness, their Meijer (across the street) counterparts are the same. Also, it's not unusual for either someone living in their car or some suspicious activity going on in the back (SW corner) of the parking lot. Can return machines are old and seem to always be dirty. They should be cleaned daily. The deli was actually staffed during my last visit, so a lot of people decided to swarm over there. Two friendly clerks were working, telling the customers they are down to just one slice, so things were moving along at a snails pace. Although the deli meat prices were noticeably cheaper than Meijer, the selection was very limited. After raising the prices on bread....the French loaf was jacked up 48%, they finally brought it back down to $1 a loaf. It's good bread. Produce is cheaper than Meijer, but not as fresh. Walmart's cantaloupe is about 30-40¢ less than Meijer, but it is smaller. Got to watch the lettuce too, sometimes the head is pretty brown. I like fresh green beans, but you can't buy in bulk, you have to buy a prepackaged quantity which for me is more than I need. Meats are priced way too high and the quality is not that good, IMO. They do mark prices down when they are about to expired, you can get a good deal then. They have frozen turkeys there now, priced at .88-1.08. That's a decent deal. The electronics section lacks an attendant from time to time. Watch what brand clothing you buy at Walmart. While the prices are decent and they do carry some nice brands, stay clear of the "George" brand. That attire will shrink down and lose it's color after only a few washes. Pharmacy people are very knowledgeable and helpful, they keep the line moving. Definitely not understaffed in that dept. There's a "clearance" section of marked down/discontinued/seasonal goods. Usually it's a lot of junk you won't need. It's not unusual to find only one cashier open, so that line can be long. But then again the self serve line can get long as well. In both cases I found clerks very cordial. Bathroom was clean.
