I'm sure Glick's makes a quality product. The playsets look great. However, my experience with their staff has been very negative. In the midst of an international move, I contacted Glick's for more information about their playsets. We want a really nice playset for our children in our new house. I filled out their online form and perhaps I failed to note which item in their online catalogue I was interested in receiving more information about when I filled out their form. A member of their sales team responded to me asking for more information from me. I responded to his email, but did not respond to a second email he sent. I was entirely too busy dealing with an international move with three small children. Then I started to get emails that I now know were automated. One stated that I'd missed a phone appointment with the salesperson. Others stated that they tried to call. But they didn't have a real phone number for me. (I'd filled in 937-555-1212...everyone knows that 555 numbers aren't real, right?)
After receiving three emails in one week, I was feeling rather harassed and pressured to "install my play system.". I called to provide constructive criticism. The emails made it clear that I wasn't a person to Glick's, only a source of income. Their Marketing department is really failing to show the company in a good light when they word their automatic emails the way they do. I'm sure they've lost more business than mine because of them.
But, aparently, a potential customer's thoughts on this subject aren't valued by Glick's. The "supervisor" I spoke with was argumentative, not receptive to what I had to say and implied that my thoughts had no merit because I am not currently working in Marketing.
No matter how nice a product they make, I will definitely take my business elsewhere. read more
