It's a great park with big tall trees set in a fairly quiet and natural setting. It gives me a…read moresense of being in neat nature. There are disk golf spots everywhere, saw a few people playing. It's a lot of space to stroll, and has a kid playground with some fun equipment as well. And of course benches and picnic area. There is also a bridge that hovers over the train track, it's kinda cool to me to have that perspective of a view. There was a bit of industrial smell near there though. And beyond the bridge is a dog park area. Overall I like this park, very serene and tucked away. Ample parking, some closer some further. I will go back for sure.

Nice large neighborhood park: -two restroom facilities…read more(though one was closed for repairs) -bring hand sanitizer, though, as the handwashing station was not working properly -playground -full disc golf course -basketball court -2 baseball diamonds -soccer field -swimming pool (open seasonally, I'm not sure how much it costs to swim there) -walking trails -plenty of picnic tables with areas suitable for large groups -one covered picnic shelter -plenty of open grassy areas for lounging or play -some benches along the trails to rest -small parking area, but there's plenty of street parking in the surrounding neighborhood The park is mostly forested with huge pine trees, so this would be an excellent place to walk when it's hot out since there's plenty of shade. Some trails are paved and others are dirt or small gravel, and all were an even surface and well maintained, so it would be doable with a stroller. There were some steep inclines, but they are a short distance and weren't difficult. The trails weave & intersect all throughout the park so you can choose easier paths without inclines if you have limited mobility. The park was very clean when we visited, too.

Got here around 4pm. Were waiting for a few friends, so told the hostess we'll be a few minutes…read more They took that as "never come back to this table". We then saw many people come, get seated, order, get served and start eating before we were able to get someones attention. It took basically accosting someone to tell them we exist for some to help us. 40 minutes in, a guy we haven't seen yet comes over and we are finally able to order. We had to ask after about 15 minutes if we can have our drinks. About 1 hour and 30 minutes in, we see a girl walking around the area with a tray of food, checking every table except ours (because apparently we're invisible), we flag her down to ask if its our food and sure enough it was. So, we finally get our food. Its mediocre at best, not hot, barely even "warm". We come the Grand Lodge once per month at minimum and the service is usually fine. I dont know how they dropped the ball this bad. I would blame it on it being St. Patty's Day and so they're pretty busy, but that didnt seem to affect anyone else. Just us. I felt personal. The whole experience was severely disappointing and maybe the worst service I've ever had in my life.

We stopped by for happy hour with some friends and headed straight for Pat's Corner to grab a spot…read moreby the roaring fireplace. The ambiance here is always so cool; I especially love the unique touch of the vintage record album covers attached to the ceiling! The service was friendly and kept the good vibes going. For drinks, I had the Yule Mule, which was perfectly festive and hit the spot for a holiday outing. We shared a few things for the table, including an order of hummus and, of course, the famous Cajun Tots. The hummus platter had a really nice assortment of flatbread and vegetables, and the tots were exactly what you want: crispy and well-seasoned. Whether you're sitting inside by the fire or out on the lawn enjoying the day, it's always such a cozy, reliable spot to catch up with friends. We'll definitely be back!
