There is a fenced in area for small dogs as well as a separate larger fenced area for big dogs. My dog has done a really good job at this park and has had minimal other dogs while we were there. The first time there was a puppy in the other fenced in area, and the second time it was empty. If you need an area that isn't packed then I would recommend this park. I know other dog parks can get busy so knowing this one isn't makes Hickory Creek Park my go to place as of this moment. Only downside is there was no water fountain that I saw to refill her water bowl when she got thirty so I used my refillable bottle and also there was a distroyed toy someone else left inside the large dog fenced area which we had to throw away to prevent our dog from trying to get a piece of rubber off it.

Thankfully their is a restroom because with how long we spent out here, I needed it. I've never used to boat dock, but I've seen it used and people love being able to have access to the water. My favorite is playing tennis with my husband. I've never played softball here because I don't hang out with many people but I enjoy everything else. Lots of space to just enjoy the outdoors. I highly suggest a picnic.

Watching baseball under the willow tree and chewing Big League Chew is my most prominent memory. They also have park equipment, which is kept nice and I believe was updated in the last 10 years. Honestly tho, the equipment looks about a year or 2 old. Still nice and the paint hasn't chipped too much. I will always have fondness for this park. It was my most frequented outdoor spot in the summer. I hope many more generations get to enjoy playing ball here.

There is no walking/ running/bike path and the ground has too many ruts to go off path. If it rains, the following day, the ground is too muddy. The brush surrounding the park is full of ticks so be careful walking your dog. It's a shame they don't allow it to be a retention pond and build paths around it. Perhaps a fountain to keep mosquitos from breeding. It has a great location which makes it so disappointing that it's difficult to use.

While originally built in 1991, it was restored back in 2008. I don't come here anymore really because I don't live in the neighborhood but I can see myself bringing my nephew. It is a fairly small park and it does have sand, which will never leave your shoes. I swear my shoes still have some stuck in them from when I was a child.
