Nice, maintained park with a pond. You'll frequently find people fishing in the pond although I'm not sure if they ever catch anything

Passing this park on an out-of-the-way side street for the last two years, I noticed a "workout area" towards the entrance to the park. I made a mental note to stop and check it out but, never did until today. I usually work out daily at the recreation center but, recently due to Omnicron, I've been looking for an interesting outside place to get some exercise. I remembered passing this place and decided to check it out. On pulling up I was initially disappointed. I guess I thought the structure should be bigger, more interesting, more challenging! then I started using it. Bam!!! Hello! I thought I was in decent shape for my age but, boy was I wrong. I couldn't even make it through a few exercises on this "adult playground"!!!! It just shows you can't judge a book by its cover or make assumptions. You have to Do It. this great little outdoor gym known as the Miracle is just that. In a fairly small area, several exercises are demonstrated via placard if you need them. It will wear you out, challenge you in ways you didn't anticipate. I'm so glad I found this outdoor place to exercise in the fresh air at this time. I feel I'm getting a type of physical challenge that I didn't inside a gym. Definite Go!

It is within eyesight of the Allen Eagle Stadium. There are beautiful, walking trails and bicycling paths. Much of the length of some of the trails runs along the creek. Today the park also pays host to sporting events, though it's homage to yesteryear is not lost. This 125 acre park offers a variety of activities for people. There is a BMX track and skate park, baseball/softball diamonds, hiking & biking trails, grill and picnic table, a playground, and more. I was just here for a stroll. I had been at the dam site on the other side of Exchange Parkway, and there was a trail connecting the two areas that I walked. It was a nice paved trail that is protected by surveillance cameras. It's always good to feel safe! Review #2110

I was surprised to see the fantastic historic area upgraded to paved trails, new bridges, flood control, fencing and legends. The place can be hard to find as it is in a parking lot behind a light manufacturing complex. However, its worth the search and find. Lower your expectations because its not an in-your-face fabulous tourist attraction. As a matter of fact, few know it's even here. On the other side of the trees lies a major interstate highway heading north with a constant stream of heavy traffic. Ironic since the road is paralleling the very railroad tracks laid 150 years ago heading north to the rest of the country. This dam was built in 1874 to pool water in the stream as a source for passing locomotives! What a feat when you consider how many of these they had to build in this country to run the steam engines. Im glad this has been preserved for everyone to think about how recently in our history no one lived here and transportation equipment ran on water! Recommend checking it out. Go!
