Went here to get a 20"light bar bracket coated to match my bumber on my jeep wrangler. The person in the photo is the owner. She has absolutely no customer service skills at all. I actually think there's something mentally wrong with this woman. When I went there to pick up my bracket I pointed out a big chip and other spots where they missed and left bare metal on it. I don't know about you but when I have work done I expect it to be done right the first time especially when you pay a premium price for it. When I pointed out the spots on the bracket that needed to be fixed she got visibly upset and started giving me a really disturbing attitude so I asked her if there was something wrong and she said yes that was rude I said how is pointing out defects in the workmanship on this bracket being rude. I told her I don't understand you're anger. After several minutes of trying to figure out what her main malfunction was She agreed to send it back and have it fixed but I would have to come back in 2 or 3 days. It took two weeks to do this bracket and now I'm going to have to wait another two or three days because of their shoddy workmanship and lack of quality control. My recommendation to anyone needing powder coating done is find another place other than Glendale powder coating these people are overpriced and have no quality control. Besides everything I had to go through the guy in the office I spoke to the second time I went back told me he had to send it back three times before they did it right so that in itself tells you something about this place. Took some metal parts of the 1963 camper I am restoring here... Was told an estimate, 100 bucks. Took a bit longer than expected, cost 150 dollars, 50 bucks more than the estimate. They took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained to me how the process worked. These guys really know their stuff! Horrible company to deal with! I give this company zero stars because of the damage done to my security doors! Tried to make a mutal agreement with the owner for him to pay what his workers damaged but he was very nasty to me and dishonest about how things went. Called my customer to pick it up instead of me like i had tild him to. All material was damaged prior to being painted by the company. Doors didnt operate how they should. Took them some custom made window frames for my chop top coupe. When I picked them up I was smart enough to unwrap them there. The finish wasn't smooth in some places and there were fisheyes and pits. they agreed to do them over again. When I picked them up the second time there were still pits, fisheye and uneven spots, just not as many but to my shock two of the pieces were dented! When I asked how that happened he replied he didn't know, maybe heat. then he threw his hands up and walked away! No refund offered. he sure doesn't know anything about customer service and definitely no pride in workmanship. Not only am I out the time and money but now I have to pay to get them to be fixed. read more

Had a set of wheels that needed powder coating.. drove up into their run down parking lot and went into the office to ask for pricing.. staff was rude, unprofessional, and not very helpful at all. Website looked great online but when you go there totally different experience. Person who helped me had the worst haircut ever imagine, looked like a total slob can't even wipe the stains off his shirt or mouth. Would not recommend going there! i have been using Glendale Powder Coating now for about 3 years. I use them for my personal items as well as for my companies needs. Rick and Don have been very helpful with trying to match colors powder coated by other companies and with trying new custom colors. Just like my own business I have had some jobs take a little longer than we expected or maybe the stripper was backed up and delayed the turn around time a bit but it has always been handled in a professional way. There pick and delivery system works for me in my business and the attention to detail is better than my experience with other companies. From a personal level these guys have helped me out with car shows, charity events, and have made themselves available to me after hours, which shows me that my business is important to them. Worst experience with any company in the valley in 33 years. They told me they will never do business with me again. Below is the scoop: Last week on Thursday our company had a need to have a rather large item stripped and then re-finished. We spoke with "Don" who was very helpful originally. We came to a financial agreement but more importantly we reached a timeline agreement. This agreement took precendence over all other things as it was customer related and actually affected the dwelling the customer owned. The verbal agreement was reinforced with Don from Glendale Powder Coating emailing me that no matter what it took, even if there were additional costs associated, they would meet the deadline. My company was more then happy to pay any additional costs to ensure that our customer was satisfied. This was made undoubtably clear to Glendale Powder Coating. The product was dropped off on Tuesday of this week at 11am. We called Glendale that day and confirmed that all was going well and that we were still on target. We were reassured that there were no issues. The morning (Wednesday) we confirmed again that things were going as planned and that the pick up at 8am (Thursday) would occur without issue. Again we were reassured all was well. Later in the evening we contacted Glendale to confirmed that we would have a crew at their property at 8am and were told by Rick that nothing had been done to the product and that they didn't have us on their calendar until Thursday evening. This took us by surprise to the point we thought this was just professional comic relief as we had been following up regularly. When asked if he was joking Rick responded "Hell NO I'm not joking." We asked Rick to speak with Don who had been our contact. He said he would have Rick call us. An hour later after Don had not called back I called again and got ahold of Don. When Don was asked about the situation he began to tell a different story and that now our product was scheduled to be powder coated the next morning. Don was reminded of the agreement. Don was not helpful what so ever and suddenly didn't want to give us any time line at ALL for the following day of when we could pick up. After talking for a while it was agreed upon that our crew would be at their location at 9:30am and that Don would call me if there was a problem. At 7am the following day (Thursday) Don was called just to confirm that everyting was going fine. Don said that our product was in the cure oven and that he had to look at it after it came out but made no mention of any issues. At 8:34am that morning an email was revied from Don stating the following "I have to leave the shop for a little bit of time, but the door we are having quality issues and need to re-do it. Approx. 3 to 4 hours more. I should be back to the shop by 9 to 9:30 if you need to call. Sorry for the incomvience but we want to do the very best that we can do." Immediatly we called and wanted to know what the issue was. Don answered and said there were imperfections. I asked him to send me pictures of the issues and that we could possibly deal with it on our end. Don agreed to send pictures but never did. For the next several hours repeated calls to their shop resulted in a busy signal as if the phone had been taken off the hook. During this time the crew had arrived at their shop and found that the doors were still being stripped and the frame had not even begun to be stripped. Nothing had even been powder coated as of 9:30am. This was contrary to what Don had said. Messages were left with a person answering the phones who said that both Don and Rick had went home sick for the day. Just after noon we were able to get ahold of Rick again who said a number of things of which included they never wanted to do business with us again, that once this deal was done they wanted to cut ties, that the product would be done when it was done and that we better bring cash or a check when we pick up our product. Around 3:30p we sent two of our staff members with a check to pick up our product. Upon arrival the staff loaded the product unassisted by anyone at Glendale Powder Coating. Rick told one of the staff members "you have a check for that?". The staff member gave Rick the check with no further conversation. Needless to say we had to call our customer and rescheddule. No customer would be happy about that and neither was this customer. I have lined in Phoenix for over 30 years and have NEVER been treated like this ever. As a paying customer, respect should be paid at the minimum but we didn't get as much as a proactive phone call or an apology. Instead we were LIED to by the Glendale Powder Coating who, for reasons unknown, no longer wants to do business with us again. How is that possible when we even paid for this disaster? Obviously we won't do business with this company again nor will we ever recommend them. read more

I'd heard mixed word of mouth reviews but after getting the run around at other powdercoaters I decided to bite the bullet and try Glendale Powder Coating. Started from my initial visit to get a quote, I was quoted $250 for 4 wheels, then it turned into $300 once I brought them in and another $20 after they saw them, but I was there and it would be more in gas for me to go back home and I just wanted to get these done. After the price jumped $70 I figured I'd ask if they had a Military discount...this turned out to be a bad idea. I then got a 5 minuted lecture about why they don't give Military discount, and proceeded to tell me, "because I don't get a discount when I buy my coffee because I'm not old enough". A simple "No" would have been sufficient. So 7 days later I get a call to come pick up my wheels, so drive 45 minutes just to find out that MY wheels are not done, there are a set of wheels done, just not mine. Some communication skills are needed in this company. So 4 days go by and I haven't heard anything so I decide to call and check up on them and get told "Oh, good thing you called, your wheels are done but we lost your paperwork and didn't know how to get a hold of you" Wow, just wow. So I go to pick up my wheels and after inspecting them find that the centercaps look horrible and still have bare metal showing, the owner agrees they need redone, and I leave. I come back in the next day to pick up the centercaps and we can't find them in the shop and no one know where they are, turns out they are on a desk in the office. I will not use them again and would urge anyone to do the same. I will also urge any Veterans/Police/Firemen to no go there as they are not Military/Gov employee friendly. read more

I took my 2015 Yamaha YZ450 frame, swing arm, & subframe in to have powdercoated gloss black. The price I was quoted over the phone was not the same price I was charged when I showed up to drop the parts off. After over 3 weeks of the quoted delivery date I picked my parts up. I noticed a thin spot on the swing arm, due to that area being covered by the chain slide guide; I let it go. I took the parts to a local shop where the bike was assembled very carefully. Once home(had not rode the bike yet) I noticed my shifter was out of position & I decided to adjust it. With my Aluminum 10mm wrench, I loosened the bolt. I slipped the wrench and it tapped the frame, chipping the powdercoat. So I decided to tap the frame with my wrench some more & watched the black simply flake off. I took my fingernail & chipped it away as well. I called GPC & was told to bring the parts by so the owner could inspect them. When I drove all the way down there I was admitted to by the owner that the parts were not prepped properly before they were coated. He gave me the option of a refund or to pay partial labor for the bike to be tore back down & reassembled after they redid the job correctly. Keep in mind I paid over $300 to have the shop tear down and reassemble my bike. I did not like either option as I did not want to put more money into the bike when they did not do their job correctly. We emailed back and forth and they were not willing to pay the complete price of the labor, even after the shop was willing to bring the price down for my situation. We ended up going to small claims court where GPC was directed to pay me a settlement amount. They never paid, never answered my email if they would pay either. This was an absolute horrible experience & some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Please do yourself a favor and find someone else who actually takes pride in their work & will not waste your time or money. read more
