Do they make dentures? I dont have insurance - are prices reasonable or is there a payment plan?

The hospital has a good amount of parking which was great. The office itself is clean and well maintained inside. The receptionist was extremely kind as well. The dental assistant who took my Xrays was attentive and answered all and any questions that I had. She also made sure to ask about my dental history in great detail. My dentist Dr. Madiha Khan and amazing and ensured to thoroughly inspect my teeth. She gave me great recommendations and they were able to get me scheduled for my next visit immediately. Overall, I would highly recommend this dental practice!

When she questioned her about it and tried to explain that she was wrong about the payment and offered to provide proof, she was rudely told she either had to pay what she was asked to pay or cancel her appointment. Then when asked if we could prove there was an error after the fact if we could get a refund, she rudely said "we could talk about." She ultimately ended up making my wife reschedule for TWO WEEKS later. I called to complain and talked to a different woman who was very understanding, professional, and patient. (despite my frustration) She correctly identified my insurance, walked me through what I should have been asked to pay, and rescheduled my wife for two days later. This first woman, who again, turned away my wife who was in pain for her appointment despite her having the correct insurance she claimed to have, was completely unreasonable and unprofessional. She extended the pain my wife was having in her tooth and embarrassed her in front of the other people who were in line behind her. If I were you and this lady was the receptionist I would wait until someone else was available and refuse to work with her. She no idea what she is doing and a miserable person to interact with. (This is not the first time shes been uninformed, unhelpful, and rude to us) This woman should have no place interacting with patients in any manner.

There have been numerous complications, and the charged keep piling up. It's has been life altering for my family member, it has affected his body image. If it was explained to him that it would take a year or more to make adjustments and etc. He said he would have got dentures instead. which would have been less costly. Too embarrassed to tell the exact monies he has spent; I'll just say he could have purchased a new car or truck. If you considering this agency, please make another informed choice.

My last review of Modern Touch was 10 years ago, and I've been a client for about 15 years…read more I've seen a multitude of dentists at the office over the years as staff has changed, and the work has consistently been really well done. Cheryl, my hygienist, and Dr. McDonald and Ashley have been the most amazing team over the last year, in particular as I cracked two teeth as a result of extreme stress. They guided me through a very painful process and made sure my mouth feels and looks perfect at the conclusion of the work. The work performed is of high quality (as are the labs that they use - for crowns, implants, mouth guards). They have stayed on top of technology so imaging is easy, painless and comprehensive, including 3D digital models. They show the utmost care to their patients before, during and after procedures. The staff is friendly but still professional. The work above all else is thorough and exceedingly well executed. My husband has also had good experiences over the years (although he has needed less dental work, thankfully!) but as a family, we are beyond pleased. I couldn't recommend this dentist more highly. There are some cases when work is authorized by insurance at a certain expected amount, but the actual charges are different. I have never had an issue with this, as it's clearly explainable (the procedure had to go a different way, or the insurance covered something at a higher percent). The clinic "banks" any overpayment for us, and we use it for any charges we might accrue going forward. They have offered to reimburse us as well, but with a family that goes to the same dental clinic, keeping the overpayment there simplifies things for my purposes and I appreciate that they are willing to do that. Highly recommend the team at Modern Touch!

But he is very…read moresensitive and because we did not want to traumatize him, we waited and did not get it filled right away. Fast forward to later in the year, and our son is now complaining of pain (from the cavity). We explain to him that we need to get the cavity filled, otherwise the pain will not go away. Our now 4 year old son is finally mentally prepared for a dental procedure. So we call back to schedule an appointment, and Margita U. Meyers, DDS informs us that because we did not follow the schedule she set out for us, that not only will she not see our son for the appointment - but that we should find a different provider all together. As I type this, my son remains in pain. Merry Christmas I guess..

I was very unhappy with our initial visit, which we had at the Bayshore office. The staff was nice…read moreand the office was clean and convenient. However, we waited over a half hour after having to make the appointment in the middle of the day because the doctor only has appointments in the daytime on Mondays and Tuesdays (and she's a pediatric dentist). I chose a pediatric dentist because my son has a lot of anxiety about dentists. Dr. Meyers did nothing to help that. First she consulted us and rather than praising my son for his good choices for his tooth care, chose to criticize him for all his bad choices. ("Don't eat this or that. Don't drink anything but water. You are not brushing enough/well/right." I almost suggested he just stop eating or drinking anything.) After basically criticizing him about all he does wrong rather than also positively reinforcing what he does right (doesn't eat candy, eats healthily, brushes daily, flosses a few times a week, doesn't drink sodas or juice), she decided to poke around in his mouth and then criticized him for feeling anxiety about his teeth being cleaned. ("This is not painful. You shouldn't be crying. Put your hands in your lap and stop that.") I am sure she is a competent dentist and knows how children's teeth develop and how to do dental procedures but I am not sure she understands the first thing about children's anxiety or motivations. I nearly laughed when she offered him a sticker. He's 12. I am guessing that she only works two days a week because this profession as a pediatric dentist has become difficult for her. I would recommend she consult adults rather than deal with children because this is not her forte. My son goes to the Marquette School of Dentistry for his orthodontics and never comes out with anything other than a smile. The young doctor attending to him there always motivates him to take care of his teeth and gets through the procedures without any issues. And this is a person clamping metal wires on to his teeth! I am supposed to return for sealants on his molars. I will be cancelling that appointment and finding another dentist for him.

I'm honestly still shocked by the way I was treated at this dental office…read more I came in as a new patient for a routine cleaning and checkup. I had no pain, no symptoms, and no dental emergency. Before the dentist entered the room, I politely asked the dental assistant whether it might be possible to focus on the cleaning that day and defer X-rays, due to recent medical imaging and extensive international air travel. It was a calm, normal question -- there was zero tension. When Dr. Dina Kaloti, DDS came in, everything changed. She immediately stated that all new patients must have a full set of X-rays. I explained my situation and offered a compromise: bitewing X-rays now, panoramic X-rays at a later visit. That compromise was rejected outright. During the conversation, she questioned my understanding of radiation and then said -- verbatim -- "Are you a dentist? Did you go to DDS school?" This was said in front of the dental assistant, with the door open and staff just outside. It was demeaning and completely unnecessary. She then told me that my questions were making "her and her staff uncomfortable" and said I would be asked to leave unless I agreed to all X-rays. No staff member ever appeared uncomfortable -- my interactions with them before and after were friendly and normal. Feeling pressured and not wanting to leave without care, I agreed. Ironically, during the panoramic X-ray, the chest shield was placed incorrectly and the X-ray had to be repeated, which was exactly what I had hoped to avoid. After all the X-rays were done, I was then told that because of my questions, my teeth would not be cleaned that day -- the entire reason I had come in. I returned the following day for the cleaning. The hygienist was kind and professional, but it was clear that my private medical questions from the prior visit were known within the office, which raised serious concerns about privacy. I have never been asked to leave a business or medical office in my life. Asking reasonable questions about one's care should not result in humiliation, pressure, or denial of service. I attempted multiple times to speak with the practice owner and never received a response. I would strongly caution anyone who values respectful communication and consent-based care. Also, after waiting for a personal conversation or a call with the owner after five days I have still not received a call. This is another warning to search elsewhere for dental services.
