This bus company is extremely unprofessional and consistently arrives 20 minutes late every morning.

The layout of the stop is unique like many others with bright lights and wide open space and designs reflecting the immediate area above with chrome beams, pillars, glass and constellation wall art. Lots of lush greenery as you make your way up or down for a return trip. One of the more upkept stations with easy to read maps of connecting services as well as caddy corner to a lot of surface city buses and connecting surfaces. I've been able to enjoy shows and events at the EL Cid, strut on down to Akbar, grab eats at Green Leaves and My Vegan Gold (a super favorite), get a check up at the hospital, hit up the local Vons as well as Bestie's (a plant-based health food and snack store) and even wait in line Vista Theater. Parking in the area is definitely a mission at times, but if you're going out for a day or night of EaHo/East Hollywood/Silver Lake/Los Feliz/Little Armenia excitement and a drink or more is on the to do list then absolutely put you faith in your walk and in your ride via the LA Red Line station of Vermont Avenue & Sunset Blvd

When my pops spent some time with our friends in Napa Valley, he took the train home which after a cool train ride from Sacramento to Bakersfield, he was motor coached from Bakersfield to this Station, super convenient IMO, there are plenty of parking and I could see how convenient this station would be for future train trips going to SLO or SD. I love the architecture as well, whether it was a facade or the remnants of a historic past, I am glad they kept some sense of nostalgia at this station, very nice and convenient in my honest opinion.

Going east to west: -The line starts in Pasadena, at Lake Ave.& Colorado Blvd., then moves its way down Colorado Boulevard, stopping at Paseo Colorado and then the heart of Old Town Pasadena. -From Old Town it makes a rapid bee line to Eagle Rock and all the places you can go around the corner of Eagle Rock Blvd. & Colorado. - From there, you make your way to Glendale, stopping at the Americana & Galleria mall. -A few minutes later, you're entering Los Feliz, with Griffith Park to your right and the Mulholland Fountain to the left as you cross the intersection of Riverside Dr. and Los Feliz Blvd. -Up the hill along Los Feliz Blvd, you're now making your way towards the heart of Los Feliz, stopping at Hillhurst Ave. and then turning down Vermont Ave. 'till you reach Hollywood Blvd. and make a sharp right. -Soon you're on your way down Hollywood Blvd, passing a Metro Red Line stations at Western & Vine, and then another at Highland as you gawk at tourists and super heroes posting for photos. -Another left turn as you approach Fairfax Ave. and you make your way down Fairfax, past Sunset Blvd, Santa Monica Blvd, Melrose Ave., Beverly Blvd. and then 3rd Street, where you can exit and visit the Farmer's Market & the Grove. -The line continues on for another couple of miles, ending at Washington Blvd. There are so many sites to see on this trip. You can take your time and explore each one and make a day of it. Or, get on and get going to where you need to go. The trip to the Farmer's Market is particularly nice, as you can avoid the parking hassles. Rapid Buses are usually newer and are the "articulated" or "bendy" buses, so they accommodate many more passengers. Cleanliness levels vary, as do characters you might come across while on board. But, hey, it's public transit in a big city, you gotta roll with it. A book and/or iPod helps to make the time move along. Fare is $1.25 each way, or you can get a Day Pass for $5, which entitles you to unlimited travel on bus & rail. Below is a…read moredetailed list of what's been done to me in the past year: Driver L: I asked for the ramp & I was refused. Instead, she forced me to stretch my legs and strain myself to get on the bus. Then she said see I knew you could do it. I have severe mobility issues, a history of falling, and an access disable bus card. It doesn't matter to them. On several occasions this driver has watched me get up, once I do, the driver hits the brakes and I get slammed into the pole/handhold. Finally, 99% of the time this driver pulls up too far from the curb, loading & unloading. All drivers cater to the people taking the train in to Burbank then bussing it to their job. The drivers wait for said working class until 5 minutes passed takeoff time. But they won't wait for me. On several occasions they have left me even though I wave my hand for them to wait. Additionally, all but 1 driver pretend not to see me then at the last minute pull over, same for dropping me off, going past my stop. All of them ask me where I'm going but no one else. They also don't wait for me to sit down. And when I board the working class or non-disabled sit in the priority handicap seats; not offering me a seat & the driver says nothing either. Also, I've been asked to get off the back which is street level not curb level so their working class can load in the front. There are 2 passengers that continually harass me once I load by rubbing & touching themselves. Driver L told me last week that their passengers can do whatever they want to me as long as they say nothing; but one passenger did called me a terrorist. Driver J: has yelled at me, passed me by, stop 2 feet from the curb loading & unloading but not to anyone else. He refuses to let me sit after I tap my card. Driver C & L stop the bus at my stop then as soon as I stand, grab my bags, & start to walk up the aisle they put the bus in motion almost causing me to fall. I have called & called the switchboard but nothing happens but fallout. Why am I treated this way? I don't work, I'm retired I am homeless I am a senior All of the above is discrimation [reported] as they choose who they're nice, too!!

The platforms and inside the station are kept better than some stops, though the top half/street level varies. Elevators, stairs and escalators... Though the escalator up after I exited and ran into some friends was down so... We got out leg day in! Q Tip: No parking lot for this station, unfortunately, like a lot of stations for the B (Red) Line... The stop (B line, ex Red) is your typical LA stop, clean enough, cold decor, could be more seating, more comfortable seating, maybe a human working would be nice, some security. I would place it in the middle in terms of safety and I would give it higher points for being in a decent location, helpful to use.

This line is helpful to get to Hollywood, many stops in DTLA, Union Station. You can change the line for other lines to get to other LA areas. It's far from perfect. Better lately with more security and a tad cleaner. Less weird folks on trains. But they need a higher frequency, people to help with tickets ( I always end up helping folks, need a discount LOL), cleaner trains, more reliable service and clear signage. I get tired of hearing that Metro is working to improve service for the Olympics. No! Do it now! For us Angelenos. They need to improve their service and make a smooth public transportation system here like in other big cities. It would help everyone and diminish driving and pollution. Overall, a necessary line that I use a few time a month!

Uber car seat didn't seem to be a reliable option and ride hailing services required a super far transfer to another pickup location. The bus was also triple the time to our destination near the cruise port. Go Ride was very clear about their pricing and they were detailed when answering a follow up question I had about pickup time which was fortunate as our flight ended up getting in 30 mins earlier than scheduled. Our driver, Oscar, arrived early to pick us up - I received an iMessage from him before landing using my airline's in-flight wifi - I was able to send him updates as we got off the plane and got our bags. He pulled up within 5 mins of my last message when we had our bags conveniently right outside the terminal. It was so easy I didn't even need to rent the $8 USD luggage cart and my kids didn't have enough time to complain about any wait. Oscar was really helpful with our bags and had all the car seats already installed correctly! All seats were facing the correct direction, solid, tight and the only adjustment needed was for the actual seat belts themselves to secure the kids. Oscar offered us bottles of water and we were off to the hotel. On the way we had a nice chat and he was totally OK with the youngest child crying for a bit while navigating LA's notorious traffic (he said it was light but to me it was busy). Drop off at the hotel was smooth and we tipped in cash for great service - he impressed us! Definitely would recommend to anyone especially families looking for a smooth experience getting anywhere from LAX airport. I will be using them again for future travel.
