This school is ok, but I do have some things that I have to share with you:…read more 1. A large bullying problem. I can tell you that the 4th and 5th graders call the 3rd graders as "Turd" graders. Adding to that, there is at least 1 fight in 2 months. 2. DISGUSTING Boys bathrooms. The boys bathrooms are usually STICKY on the floor, and pee all over the seat. Occasionally, the boy's bathrooms get flooded. Once, I saw poop on the freaking toilet seat. 3. Ok, but this is a good one. There are a nice and friendly group of kids usually in the school. The third graders are nice, the fourth graders know what they're doing, and the fifth graders are amazing. I have good friends in all grades, and it is ok. 4. Lastly, strict teachers. Usually, teachers can be extremely flexible, including substitute teachers. But, there's some strict teachers that give out HARD discipline. I understand that they're trying to prepare us for the next grade, but they need to just chill out a bit. That is my honest review on this school.

PLEASE READ!!!!. If I could I would rate this school a 0/5 instead. I am a old student at this…read moreschool and this school sucks! I will give a few reasons why: 1. Horrible System. If you have a person in your grade with the same first name get ready for a crappy experience. You will get called to the office by mistake, You get absent if that student is absent. You will get so much crap just from having the same first name. Just trust me on that. 2. Teachers suck. The teachers will not help you and they have no care if you failing the class. The teachers have this crappy rule where if you go to the bathroom 2 times thats it, You can't leave the room anymore. If you wanna go badly, Bring diapers next time to be prepared for that situation, Because if you even beg the teacher to go she will say "No. You have gone enough, If you go more than 2 times then you have some condition". And in 5th Grade they will scare you about 6th Grade so much that when you start 6th Grade you may cry of fear. 3. No bully prevention. You may see the signs like "No bully zone" but thats just to trick you into believing they care. If you get bullied on the bus apparently "They can't do anything, Its outside of school". And those are just 3/100 reasons why this school sucks, If you love your child for the love of god choose a different school

We came across this school by word of mouth and every single person who has sent their kids here…read morehas had glowing praise. After touring several schools in Evanston, it was a no brainer that our children would be attending. The warm, inviting enriching environment has been just what we were looking for. I cannot express how thankful we are for the entire staff and teachers, there is a consistency of tenure across the board that spans decades and their dedication and attention they give to the children was above and beyond what we saw at the other schools we visited. If you are looking at options in the area, it would be a disservice to your child to not explore NNS and what they have to offer.

Yeah, this is where all my acting up and mis-behaving in school started. I can't blame the…read moreschool- even back in the 70s when it was new they did some pretty neat stuff, and had some great teachers! Mr. Whitman was my 1st grade teacher- he took the time to teach us all how to play chess! He was totally "searching for Bobby Fischer!" We had great big vinyl chess boards, big pieces, and he'd get on the overhead projector and have this little chess board transparency, and he'd show us the moves. At the end of 1st grade we were playing legitimate chess games, even if we were too young to understand any real chess strategy. Mr. Clair used to tell us great stories in 2nd grade- everybody loved that guy! Too bad the school was so stuffed we got stuck taking classes in "the mobiles." Mobile homes- haha. Mr. Lucier was a nice principal- he played ukulele at school events all the time! I was sent to his office lots of times for getting in trouble, and he always pointed out the nice picture he had on his wall that my well behaved older sister had painted when she went to Dirksen. Miss Schumacher was HOT! They had a "gifted" program where some of us selected few would be picked up by the 'tard cart and taken to a separate school- all the dist. 54 grade schools fed the program. I hated getting teased for being picked up by the stubby bus for that, and the actual gifted program was no fun. The teachers there tried so hard to engage us it felt demeaning somehow... I knock one star off for Mrs. Nank. That fat old battle-ax would beg cookies out of the lunches of her 4th graders! Worse- she's beg back and shoulder massages from us! I was so completely disgusted by her behavior... Words can't describe.

Callin your parents saying everything about you being bad in school then not dropping the shell that you're suffering mentally, they just send cps and have you stripped from your parents or leave you with them which obviously makes it worse considering they believe you called the cops)
