He explained how things work and the different kinds of coverage and really helped me get educated about what I needed. I wanted to purchase my insurance from Rob because he spent so much time with me, however the best plan for me turned out to be one that doesn't pay commissions. Despite that, Rob still helped me with information, phone numbers, etc., even though there was literally nothing in it for him! As soon as I need other insurance, I will be going back to Young Insurance Brokers. It's rare to experience excellent customer service, but with Rob I got great customer service even though I wasn't even a customer!

I was with Alliance Insurance Agency for 3 years. In the beginning, the experience was good. I'm…read morenot saying they necessarily did anything wrong initially; however, over time I became increasingly uncomfortable with the lack of transparency. I was repeatedly told that the policy I had was the cheapest available based on my Hyundai, despite the fact that I'm in my mid-40s, have good credit, and have no accidents or tickets. I was also told the rate was low because the company does not insure anyone under 25--information that doesn't apply to me. Last month, I received my January renewal and was informed my monthly premium would increase by $102. That increase would have made my auto insurance payment higher than my car payment, which is unacceptable to me. When I contacted my broker and asked her to quote Progressive and a few other carriers, I also did my own research. I discovered that going directly through Progressive was significantly cheaper. In fact, the quote I received on my own was $1,649 less for the 6 month renewal than what I was being quoted through the broker. I understand that insurance agencies are businesses, but that level of difference is hard to justify. For that reason, I chose to move on. Paying an additional $102 per month--especially when far better options exist--was simply not something I was willing to accept. I recommend doing your own research as well to compare especially with the economy.

Unfortunatly something has…read morechanged. i have items in a self storage unit. they require a copy of the declaration page of my insurance policy covering goods in storage. This has been no problem in the past for this insurance office. Recently the policy came up for renewal and the storage place wants confirmation on the renewed policy of course. I scheduled the payment online and it was paid. two days after that I asked Carol Drakes office to email me the new declarations page for the current policy so I did not have to buy additional insurance from the storage place. Well this is where the problem begins. They confirmed that the payment had been processed and the policy was good for another year. I asked for the declarations page and what they sent me started with a BALANCE DUE page showing the policy as expiring in a few days. After more emails and days....they still would not/could not send me a declarations page for the new current policy. I was told by the office manager that this is designed by headquarters and comes as a package and that the BALANCE DUE page means nothing. So I will have to purchase the additional insurance from the storage place because Carl Drakes office manager thinks what she sent was more than what is needed. No common sense. I am afraid this demonstrates what is going to happen if I ever need to make a claim. not a good place to start from. This is why I am going to be leaving State Farm, Carol Drakes office, and obtain different coverage. I hope you have better luck with this office.
