The room itself didn't have a fridge or a coffee pot, but right outside of our room was an area with coffee, ice, refrigerator, toaster, bagels, breads, yogurt and more. The location of this Inn was super close to restaurants and the Harbor(right in front of the Harbor), Sackets Harbor village is lovely also! I would definitely stay there again. It is located on Lake Ontario. Highly recommend!

We weren't expecting an incredible experience but we certainly got one! Judy was wonderful managing our reservation and warmly greeted us when we arrived. I like the concept of boutique hotels but sometimes find they can be too cramped or stuffy, not the Harbor House Inn. It's intimate but rooms are spacious so you feel like you can breathe. The room was absolutely amazing, farmhouse chic with a splash of coastal aesthetic. The soaking tub was to die for! The bed was very comfy. All the staff were friendly. Our room had a partial view of the lake, was a welcome surprise. The hotel is right in the center of town, perfect walking location to the battlefield, shops and eateries. All we wanted was a night away from the little ones but Harbor House Inn delivered a sweet experience. Highly recommend and will definitely return. It was worth the money spent!

I rarely leave bad reviews, but my stay at Candlewood Suites Watertown was honestly very disappointing. Carla at the front desk was kind and accommodating, so I want to give credit to her because she was the only positive part of the experience. The room itself smelled terrible, like a closed unused room full of dust and mold. There were spider webs everywhere, flies inside the room, and the whole living room area smelled like a homeless person had been staying there. The curtains were also broken, the windows were full of dead flies and thick dust, and even the exhaust fan was completely packed with dust and dirt. It was obvious that the room and hotel are not being properly maintained. The suite setup was also very inconvenient because the AC and heater were only in the living room and barely reached the bedroom. I had to leave the bedroom door open the entire time just to get some air circulation, which made it hard to sleep comfortably because the room kept getting too cold or too warm. I called the front desk again in the afternoon to ask if they had a portable heater or fan available, but they told me they had none. Their only solution was to downgrade me to a much smaller room while still charging me the same price, which made no sense. I was also surprised to learn that housekeeping or room service is only done once a week. I ended up getting sick during my stay with severe allergies and fever symptoms, probably because of the dust, mold smell, and poor air quality. I was visiting my partner who is in the military, and we had not seen each other for 6 months. We were really looking forward to spending quality time together, but this experience completely ruined our stay. Honestly, I should have taken more photos and evidence just in case, but the staff already knows about these issues for sure. I truly hope management improves the condition of the hotel because it has a lot of potential, especially for families visiting Fort Drum due to its convenient location and nearby establishments.

Breakfast food and service excellent. Large portions. Starbucks coffee free, front desk in morning fantastic. Makes no sense, you can bring free coffee into Restaurant but if you order it with breakfast, $5.00. Front desk, Jacob evening fantastic. Some daytime staff at desk unfriendly and so, so. Shower, no cold water in couple rooms, some only hot water. Still overall recommended. Nice pool and hottub. Large event space and easy parking. Ps Robes are very nice and worth $75. My excursion to the North Country (1000 Islands region) of New York State was amazing, with the…read moreexception of the second day of my 2 night stay at this "four-star" hotel. First, a fire alarm at 2:30 am meant I didn't sleep the rest of the night (meanwhile, I had to check out the next day and drive 3 hours to get home. Maybe no big deal for a young person in good health, but for a senior with myriad health issues, this was the start of a bad experience that just kept snowballing. Next, the hotel's boiler broke and it took them all night and well past 9 am before it was fixed. Right at the time when everyone is trying to take their shower, but can't so they can't get out, check out or just wash their hands???? How does a business whose sole service is providing "hospitality" NOT have a backup boiler?? Not a perfect solution, but a backup could have been activated and some service restored while the main boiler was being repaired during the morning wake-up, get out and go hours. The hotel doesn't offer a continental breakfast, just an overpriced and reportedly mediocre restaurant onsite. They do offer coffee, but there was NO coffee when I checked, even though it was still well within the window when they purport to offer it--and no one in sight to ask if they could refill the carafes. So now, I've had it. All I want to do is get the hell out. But I have severe COPD so I have to lug my oxygen machine as well as regular luggage anytime I travel. I could'nt manage all of it by myself. But of course all TWO of the luggage carts were in use by able-bodied single thirty somethings or families with children. Wouldn't it make sense for the hotel to reserve at least ONE cart for people in wheelchairs or who have trouble BREATHING??? When I went back to retrieve my oxygen machine, the key card would not open the room door because it was just past checkout time, so I had to go back to the lobby and ask the front desk to temporarily reactivate my card key. Will I visit Clayton NY again? Absolutely. Will I stay at the Harbor Hotel again? Sorry to say, No.

My room is not cramped at all as it is very spacious; very long and very wide. It comes with the following amenities: * Large bed * Large couch that comfortably seats two * Flat-screen LG tv * Table for two * Coffee table * Medium refrigerator * Microwave * Iron & ironing board The bathroom comes stocked very well. The free WiFi is a great addition to the room. I can't count how many installations I've been to that charged military personnel for this very much needed feature. The staff are very friendly, courteous, and professional. I would definitely stay here in the future and recommend this hotel to my friends and business associates. *** The hotels out in Watertown are outrageously priced in the $115-$175 per night range! I don't know what they are thinking. I was offended when told that, due to my being in the military, that they would adjust my rate to the per diem rate. First of all, per diem has nothing to do with commercial businesses. They thought they are doing service members a favor by meeting the per diem rate. I found this to be extremely disrespectful and felt their business is taking advantage of the money I am provided by the government for temporary housing. Holiday Inn Express??? Comfort Inn??? Ramada??? These hotels should never be above $65 per night and they are asking more than double that! We are in upstate New York! Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful up here. However, I've travelled to over 26 states in the U.S., and I know when the need arises to pay that much money for a room, but there is nothing out here that would drive their prices up that high! The fact that there is a military installation in the vicinity of your business should not drive up your prices. You should instead be greatful of the added business and increase in the local economy that the installation has created for your business. Do not take advantage of those whom provide and protect your freedoms.

Ok, so the reviews on here are pretty old so I just wanted to update a few things…read more One: The price has now changed from 50 dollars per night to 79 dollars per night. I didn't realize that until we called on the phone to make a reservation and found out our spending limit on our move would be going up because of that. Two: Along with the prices, it seems like the hotel itself has upgraded. I read that the sheets were very old and scratchy and that the beds were very worn out with bad springs. The room we're staying in (which is a 2 queen size beds) has great sheets that keep you warm in the 20 degree winters when you don't feel like turning on the heater so high. The beds are also pretty comfy and very clean. The TV has also been updated, It's now a 42 inch almost flat screen but we never really watch TV anyway. Wi-Fi has improved I guess, we all watch movies off our tablets and computers and they load pretty fast too. Three: No one has posted this on any review I've seen yet so I'll post it now. They do accept pets with a 75 dollar fee for the first 5 days and a 5 dollar fee for each day afterward. You have to provide proof of rabies vaccinations in order for them to stay in the hotel though so keep that handy. There is a designated pet area to the back corner of the hotel but it's not fenced in. Also, there is a crazy pet ban in Jefferson County that doesn't allow any pets off their leash. The closest dog park is about an hour's drive away, toward Kingston, ON so be prepared for that. Other than those updates, the hotel is pretty much the same. There are no elevators, laundry is on the 2nd floor, cell reception is so horrible that your phone call fails when you turn your head the wrong way, staff are pretty friendly, free breakfast in the mornings, and no one tries to steal your things out of your parked car in the lot. Hope this helps anyone!

Upon further inspection if the towels could talk, they would tell a story. The dried vomit outside of our room was a nice touch to add to the experience. The bed, and the pillows had live bed bugs. We saved one in a piece of toilet paper to show the property. We packed our belongings and checked out. I stopped at the front desk, informed them of our room number, we were leaving, and why. I showed the gentleman the live bed bug we found. His reaction wasn't the best, and no refund was offered. Booking.com tried to get us a refund, but the property refused to return their call.
