What a charming place to stay! Everyone was incredibly kind, and the room was lovely. We especially loved the big bathtub AND the shower. There were lots of little shops and restaurants within walking distance, and you're right on the water. The people were the best part: they went above and beyond to try and help us get whatever we needed. Our time here will be remembered for years to come! Pros: Soft beds, big bathtub, walkable location, kind staff, free breakfast, coffee whenever you'd like!

Great location right downtown so you can walk to any place in town. The staff super nice. The rate pretty good for the summer - We got a suite and it was in the basement.Certainly not a nice view but the room was large, the bath large . It fit our needs since is was modern and remodeled. Clean and comfortable and quiet- BUT the hallway downstairsin the basement where there are many rooms stinks with sewer- the business has been on the town to fix this problem. Pretty embarrassing but gratefully did not permiate our room. This place accepts pets...and there are lots of stairs so if you have any handicap walking take that into consideration. The morning coffee is free as well as some other breakfast bars..but the coffee is HORRID. I would stay here again as long as you knew that there was a slight concern in the basement. Sacketts Harbor is a nice stay for the day to enjoy the history.

This hotel was so charming!!! I loved the beautiful detail the owners put into it! The owners were so gracious and welcoming! They had so many interesting stories of the history of the place, and they had great recommendations of where to go eat etc. The place was so clean I felt so comfortable that I didn't even worry about anything. The hotel is right on the water so it's a beautiful view as well. The restaurants next to the inn are fantastic including the brew house - which initially we thought would have only pub food, but we were delight that their menu had some really great seafood and filet dishes that were to die for and great wine! I highly recommend this place!!!!

There are plenty of RV parks, but hotels, restaurants and grocery stores are few and far between. Our room at the Marina Inn and Suites was charming and spacious overlooking a field that was utilized as a lacrosse field from 8 am till 8 pm. Towels and hot water were all more than adequate; king bed was comfortable. Down on the first floor is the ice machine and a washer/dryer area. Dryer came in handy since it was raining most of the weekend of our stay. Staff are on duty until 8 pm most days. The building is close to the water and has adequate parking for this building. Out back was a marina and a restaurant which unfortunately had closed due to COVID last year. It was open for two dates, one of which we were staying at the inn and one at the end of the month. The bad news was there was no table availability. We were welcome to check out the bar and sit in the adirondack chairs but weather being what it was, we opted for other entertainment. The restored building next door was now a YMCA which was open for occupants of the Inn. We did not utilize this because unless you walk about a bit, you won't know it's the Y. In this area of buildings that have been restored, is another surprise - a pizza shop. Another review to come. If I go back to Lake Ontario, I am sure that the Inn and Suites will be on our list of places to see and stay at again.

We appreciated the effective and consistent AC during the little heat wave. I usually have a hard time sleeping through hotel noises (other visitors, fans turning on and off, elevators, etc...), but none of these things existed. The bed was perfectly comfortable, and the room was stocked with whatever we might need. The decor is dated, but with such a reasonable price (compared to other options) and so much else going for the inn, we'll happily accept some well used furniture and carpets. Also just to note for future travelers: The windows are quite small, so the view is minimal.

Breakfast food and service excellent. Large portions. Starbucks coffee free, front desk in morning fantastic. Makes no sense, you can bring free coffee into Restaurant but if you order it with breakfast, $5.00. Front desk, Jacob evening fantastic. Some daytime staff at desk unfriendly and so, so. Shower, no cold water in couple rooms, some only hot water. Still overall recommended. Nice pool and hottub. Large event space and easy parking. Ps Robes are very nice and worth $75. If you need one.

First, a fire alarm at 2:30 am meant I didn't sleep the rest of the night (meanwhile, I had to check out the next day and drive 3 hours to get home. Maybe no big deal for a young person in good health, but for a senior with myriad health issues, this was the start of a bad experience that just kept snowballing. Next, the hotel's boiler broke and it took them all night and well past 9 am before it was fixed. Right at the time when everyone is trying to take their shower, but can't so they can't get out, check out or just wash their hands???? How does a business whose sole service is providing "hospitality" NOT have a backup boiler?? Not a perfect solution, but a backup could have been activated and some service restored while the main boiler was being repaired during the morning wake-up, get out and go hours. The hotel doesn't offer a continental breakfast, just an overpriced and reportedly mediocre restaurant onsite. They do offer coffee, but there was NO coffee when I checked, even though it was still well within the window when they purport to offer it--and no one in sight to ask if they could refill the carafes. So now, I've had it. All I want to do is get the hell out. But I have severe COPD so I have to lug my oxygen machine as well as regular luggage anytime I travel. I could'nt manage all of it by myself. But of course all TWO of the luggage carts were in use by able-bodied single thirty somethings or families with children. Wouldn't it make sense for the hotel to reserve at least ONE cart for people in wheelchairs or who have trouble BREATHING??? When I went back to retrieve my oxygen machine, the key card would not open the room door because it was just past checkout time, so I had to go back to the lobby and ask the front desk to temporarily reactivate my card key. Will I visit Clayton NY again? Absolutely. Will I stay at the Harbor Hotel again? Sorry to say, No.
