I particularly like the fact that whatever I buy is actually laboratory tested and the valuable specifics of each batch is labeled. With commercial stuff you don't realey know what your getting. While the edibles are relatively benign health-wise, smoking flower and/or vaping (while both are quick reacting) create massive damage to the lungs (which you may remember struggle to provide constant oxygen to every cell in one's body before that cell dies) precludes me smoking anything ever again. The staff here is awesome. The only real constructive criticism is the dirty parking lot. the trash receptacle NEVER gets emptied, so people just use the ashtray for trash. I cannot speak to the quality of gleaf flower products. but i have had pleasant experience the last few years I have shopped here. it is kind of annoying to renew license yearly, but that is not gleaf's fault. I usually place orders online and my pick up always takes less than five minutes. i really appreciate that I'm never waiting around like sometimes happens at Cannabist, maybe just because the manchester location is more desolate. Being handicap I really appreciate the ability to park right outside the door and exit. I've shopped dozens of times, and only one time had a product defect, and I was adequately refunded for what amount of the product was unusable. Recently I had $15 off my last order and $5 off my order today, plus 15% off. I appreciate that they have been increasing these customer rewards. I know the prices are high, but the quality is great. I am only talking in regards to extracts but really I think it's far worth it to not be smoking fake dabs. This is VA, it's going to be slow growth and take time to catch up to CA/CO and others. Vegas has amazing setups. I've never had an issue at either Manchester or Short Pump location and every delivery driver is phenomenal, on time, and has everything I've ordered. If the low ratings are due to homegrown or other areas with longer standing growers in place that you've experienced, as another said, it's apples and oranges. I was so hopeful and excited. I should have suspected there would be issues when I was required to email them all of my medical documents after I had already submitted them via their website. I received an email invitation to the soft opening. The email provided very specific information regarding the process of patients upon arrival. The email only provided half of the details and no follow up. Upon arrival at the facility, I found the entire process described in the email was scrapped. I figured that the purpose of providing all the information via email was to illiminate the wait, boy was I mistaken! We all had to wait outside in the cold, we needed all of our documentation, and someone forgot to tell us it was cash only! I purchased several vape cartridges in mid-May at the Glen Allen store. When I opened the last of them it was a dud. I returned it was told I would have to photograph the still new vape and send a pic to one of their "service" centers. They responded saying the 30 day limit for returns had passed and if I didn't like I could contact the Board of Pharmacy. Which I did. I am not sure what other redress exists to the predatory practices of a politically mandated monopoly. I have a rare autoimmune disease and my doctors actually suggested I try medical cannabis. The results have been worth it, but I left off a star for the following: 1. Prices on the products are awful high (I couldn't resist the pun), and there are no discounts. Compare this with Colombia Care in Portsmouth that gives discounts to the disabled and veterans. 2. The flower appears to have few crystals, and it appears they harvest these off first to make into concentrations. While that's not shocking, the photos of plants covered in crystals are misleading. 3. If you find a strain you like, it may not reappear. My favorite one has never returned in a non-smoke option, so to get the strain I like best, I have to get flower, and often don't feel well enough to use it, versus cartridges, where all I have to do is push a button. 4. Twice I bought carts that appeared to have salt or crystals in them. The company first told me it was a mistake and gave me 20% my next purchase of one product. The second time they convinced me that the problem was my vape unit wasn't heating up enough; Despite trying their suggestions, the crystals never "dissolved", and the second time I was very annoyed and expected the company to replace it--especially as I reported both the second I saw the issue, so they hadn't been used. I did not want another discount--I didn't want a refund. I wanted to exchange my product (And they have a big sign saying "OUTSIDE CANNABIS NOT ALLOWED ON PREMISES EXCEPT FOR RETURNS"--leading me to believe that they take them.) 5. This particular location is hard to find. Pluses? 1. They're now importing products with better price points and getting more creative with what they carry. 2. This location is in an area of town that makes you afraid to leave your car at night. Luckily, they have security staff and cameras, and the security openly carries a firearm on all their persons. They escort you into and out of the building. 3. Delivery! Other dispensaries in the state may or may not offer this, but they sure do. Personal Advice: 1. If you like the solid concentrations, I'd recommend the Puff Co. Peak as the app it uses lets you set the exact temperature. 2. If you have issues with anxiety or paranoia, watch out for any strain "not recommended for those who are tightly wired"--which is code for "Some people get super anxious on this type." 3. A popular stain they often have is Channel--as in a television Channel. Many people pronounce it as Chanel and as much as I love designer clothes, I assure you, Chanel is not producing upscale luxury cannabis (After all, how would they get their iconic logo on the plant?!) They now have a Short Pump location with a drive through. I hope they keep expanding and bringing in more products from other local and non-local dispensaries, along with lower costs or discounts for vets or the disabled. read more

I will give them a 2 because the staff is usually nice at The Cannabist in Carytown. Otherwise, the products are very sub par compared to industry standards and pricing. Far too often, my purchases are filled with tiny underling buds that tend to have a much lower potency than the tops get the majority of the hormones from the plant. Very dicey to advertise potency that was probably tested on the cream of the crop and sell so much not fitting the description of what was tested. Bought two .5G cartridges totaling $100 (which is a rip off anyways) one was obviously leaking and the other was obviously not full either. I immediately walked back up to the store after realizing this. The security guard met me at the door and heard my concern and explained that I needed the email this issue to customer service and that nothing could be done at the store that day. Fair enough, I send an email containing pictures and explained my dilemma. I receive an automated email that said I would receive an email back within 24-48 hours. 8 days later I received an email saying they didn't believe the cartridges were leaking and they would need additional photos or nothing could be done about it. First let me say the people are great. Every interaction I have had has been positive. I love that they deliver next day in most cases. That is about all I can say that is good about this place. gLeaf product is 90% garbage. I say 90% because I have had some luck with some of the vapes. Way overpriced and the selection most of the time is minimal. They are just throwing out as much product as they can to make as much money as they can before it goes retail and they finally have some competition. Wow. I am apalled with Gleaf pricing vs. quality. There are 2 locations in my area an hour apart. One has sales, the other one is charging full price for the same product. Dispensary in Manassas has Gleaf products cheaper, but it's all a monopoly. I "heart jane" is also not posting negative reviews, making Gleaf look great.
