Today he textured our guest room that had old wall paper on top of cheap panelling. It feels like it is, a room in a new home. It is beautiful! And will be lovely after it's painted. I personally didn't know how I was going to improve this tired old room till Ron suggested the Texture! What a great idea! This is why I bring Ron out to the house when I'm not sure what or how something can be fixed. He always has an idea and solution. That always saves me in the long run financially. Here are a few other projects & repairs Ron has done out here.. He built us a medium Back Deck to replace the 3 single steps, leading to the backyard. He rebuilt a pair of stairs and rails coming off my deck at either end. He replaced the ceiling in our Walk In Closet! He built us, beautiful Stone & Concrete Stairs going from the lower yard to the upper yard! He replaced a wall on our dinning room. He's replaced doors, including the front door and gifted us a lovely Glass Screen Door. Ron put a new Roof on our home, along with helping our neighbors finish their Roof, on their Shop! When the Bomb Cyclone took out our Awning off the Shop and a complete Exterior Section of our home, he repaired them (1/3/23)... He built us hugh open/close doors on our shop. I know I am forgetting more projects/repairs, as I contact Ron whenever I need a job done.. Why? Because I know I can trust him 100%. He is Honest, Fast, Reliable and stands behind the Quality of his Work and his Word! I don't know if my review will do Ron the justice and recognition he deserves for the decades of Quality Work he has given to myself and his other customers. He patiently responded to all of my way-too-many questions. The crew arrived on time each day, were well organized and worked both hard and smart. Other contractors estimated it would take three to four days; this team completed the project in two days, without cutting corners or compromising quality. At times the crew numbered more than ten. They respected our property and were meticulous in assuring our property was left clean. We also had the roof of our small garden shed replaced. June 11, 2026, I found out my homeowner's insurance wasn't going to be renewed on July 12, 2026, due to a worn roof. I had a month to get a new roof. I called Stephen and he immediately sent Michael out the next day. Stephen said they could get the roof replaced the week of June 29, 2026, however, he had his crew out 4 days earlier on June 25th. They had the old roof off and the new one on in 2 days. It looks beautiful. Thanks to them I was able to get my homeowner's insurance renewed with a discount! I also wanted the gutters and downspouts replaced and gutter guards added. Stephen had his crew out on June 30, 2026, and they were done by July 3, 2026. Michael came out and put in the gutter guards himself. My job entailed replacing two attic fans with my new, in-box units…read more 1- Your billing begins when the handyman leaves their last job. That's $65/hour just to drive to the worksite. 2- He arrived with an approximate 4 rung step ladder, which by itself would have created a challenge to get into the attic from an interior trap door on an 8 foot ceiling. The company made no effort to come out and preview the job, or ask appropriate questions to determine their needs. Since the typical job would mean loosening the shingles to pull the old unit out, roof access is required. Additional trips for equipment/supplies, at $65/hour prompted me to allow him to use my ladder, both outside and inside. 3- The repairman determined it would be easiest and more practical to leave the existing housing in place and just replace the motor fan unit with thermostat. This still required rooftop access. 4- The job was completed with 4 hours of billing AND a hardware charge of some $40. What hardware? Everything was included and there was no need to seal around a housing already in place. No itemized account for the hardware was provided so I can only theorize that I must have been renting the tools that were used. My gut feeling tells me that the billing presumed what the typical fan replacement might require and I was billed on their presumption rather than fact. 5- Mailed them a check for the full amount and added a note about they're being ill-equipped and over-charging for a job they can't substantiate -AND- I won't be using them in the future.
