Usually it's a nurse practitioner that does examinations, but that's just fine with me. Their listing under Aetna "docfind" shows that they are not accepting new patients, but I found that was not the case. The exterior of the office looks rather frumpy (it looks like it's just someones house), but i found the interior to be newly renovated and not as small as it seemed from the outside. Still it retains an intimate feel that I like.

Even though I was a new patient they saw me immediately and got me a same day referral to an eye surgeon who corrected the problem. My husband just had his annual physical with Dr. Beste and he was very happy with the experience. We both grew up in medical families and expect a high level of service. The initial nurse who took my vitals was rude. All the office staff is dismissive. I've had to call and wait on hold numerous times to get the results of a test I had to have done. Now, I'm from NY, but I don't think its too much to ask that the office staff treat people humanely. Once I finally got a hold of someone, I was berated about how she needs to do her job and that my call wasn't a priority. I also thought it was laughable that when I was exiting from my appointment, the one receptionist was trying to take care of something for me while the other one sat there looking at the Popeyes menu while the phone rang off the hook. Not to mention I didn't see the doctor until 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Though I would highly recommend him for his knowledge, I would not under any circumstances recommend Total Care Physicians since they do not employ professional office staff.

Established patient of this practice for close to 4 years now. In that timeframe, I met with my…read morePCP, who ended up leaving, a total of 2-3 times. With a crazy work schedule (rotating nights/days at a hospital) I've had to reschedule an appointment or two. The most recent appointment was cancelled by the practice due to my PCP leaving. So having said that, I was met with one of the most inconsiderate encounters with Veronica, who I would assume is a front desk employee, over the phone while scheduling an appointment for the first time in over 1.5 years. Whenever scheduling appointments I have a sticky note handy to write the info down so this is a direct quote from Veronica: "well young lady you have cancelled three appointments and have no showed one so are you sure you are going to show up to this one?" *continues to go off on a tangent* If only I could convey her tone through this post you would understand my bewilderment. There have been no instances where I have "no showed" and quite frankly, you never know why people need to cancel appointments! Mind your business and keep your comments to yourself if it doesn't affect you! These are trying times with overworked/not enough physicians, which is the reason I have no where else to go at the moment. Encounters with just your front desk/scheduling staff can influence people to take their business elsewhere.

Then the less than nice receptionist tells me I'm not able to make an appointment just in case it's outside of the 30 day range of my surgery. I could have easily called in and adjusted the date because my concern was I wouldn't be able to get an appointment in time. My guess was right. I called today to make said appointment and they have nothing. At any location. Nothing even with an RN or a PA. Additionally, at all the appointments I have had over the past two years I asked for a refill on my asthma inhaler and they kept forgetting to give it to me, so I'd call and they'd tell me I'd have to come back for another office visit just to get that so I'd end up paying another co pay for their forgetfulness. I'll take the hit of having to start over with a new primary care doctor. Go elsewhere because they simply don't care.

Doctors are inexperienced and do not know the correct processes they should follow. The staff is unprofessional and aloof about patients' needs. When convenient for themselves, staff members (including nurses and medical assistants) will lie to patients to try to get themselves out of trouble. Overall, terrible customer service and patient care. Yuck!

He has a great sense of humor (and he appreciates my humor), he knows the details of my and my parents' medical histories without consulting a file.
