    paddleboarding for the first time
    Laura C.

We had an amazing time kayaking here and would totally do it again. Aaron was so helpful and accommodating. The group before us got a late start, so while we were waiting for the kayaks to be returned, we were able to try paddleboarding too. We saw so much wildlife-6 dolphins (one came right up next to the paddleboard my husband was on), horseshoe crab, sea hares, and the beautiful clear water. On Aaron's recommendation, we paddled out to the sandbar, ate lunch while sitting in the water and got to talk to some of the locals that were out there on their boats. We highly recommend them and will definitely rent from them again. Thanks again Aaron for the wonderful experience.

We decided to use our last day of vacation out in the water with the clear kayaks and we are sure glad we did! We had a blast! The experience alone of them being clear was incredible. Aaron had some free time so he went along with my girlfriend and I as well as another couple. He took us out onto the sand bar that you see as you are driving out to Boca Grande. We walked around there while he made sure our kayaks didn't float away. Then we followed him up and around the cove. We got to see 1 dolphin swimming very close by but didn't see any sea creatures swim under us. Aaron made the adventure great. He knew the area well and was super friendly and let us go off on our own and explore and relax. He was super laid back and we couldn't say enough about how much we enjoyed our little trip. Can't wait to do it again someday and bring others to share the experience with! Note: Aaron doesn't typically go out into the water with customers, he just happened to be able to that day. So if you want to go out by yourself, you definitely can.

What a wonderful experience! We were trying to escape the red tide and it turned out to be totally worth it! Aaron was so accommodating and helpful. We left out of McKibben Park and travelled the canal for a couple hours and had a picnic in the park when we returned. Absolutely beautiful and well worth the money!!!

We drove here from Myakka River State Park where we are camping for a few weeks being we had never visited the two lighthouses here and rumor has it that the water is warm and clear and the long stretches of beaches are covered in beautiful seashells everything we were hoping for was true. We spent an amazing few hours here walking the beach and exploring the many walking trails that wind throughout the park. We always pack a cooler when planning these excursions and the sun and temperatures today proved that it would be needed. We love the Florida State Park system and hold an annual pass to support the park but also to save a few dollars and for the convenience since we try and visit as many park as we can while traveling across the state. This is a park that we definitely plan on returning to when in the area, it is a little off the beaten path which is part of the attraction, the crowds were very manageable and we found parking at the lots along the causeway without issue and found lots of large beautiful unbroken shells oh yeah we'll be back...

Captain Shannon did not maintain communication as was promised, but finally responded to calls and texts the night before at 9:00 p.m after promising he would call at 6:00 p.m.with a change of time and pick-up location. He said he had several bookings for the day, but offered me a tarpon trip for money which I declined. He called me the morning of the trip, May 21st, to cancel the trip. He said he was on the water, hit a submerged object and wrecked his boat. Said how about tomorrow??? No thanks! To date, no charge credit has been issued, and of course, no further communication from the careless captain! Needless to say, the family was very disappointed, and it was suggested that he simply bumped us for a full day charter. Wen speaking to me, "the captain" referred to me as "buddy". I have never really liked that term, and always felt that people who call me "buddy" are anything but. Captain Shannon is not my buddy and if you are smart, you will take this message to heart.
