Safelite blamed that mishap on me, and rescheduled for me to drive the 30 miles to them. It snowed 2 days before- and even though the roads were clear and I could get to work- they could not. So they rescheduled again. When I showed up, they tried to reschedule YET AGAIN- because there was SNOW IN MY TRUCK BED. I took the keys, backed it out to the edge of the parking lot, shoveled it out by hand, and then drove back in. They are finally doing it. I don't think these people have any sense of a work ethic, they were rude, and very pretentious. Just fix my window, please.

For instance: He explained why he keeps the AC in his van running while he works - to cool down the glass so it doesn't crack. He offered me the option of hooking up or not hooking up the defroster, explaining that if the windshield gets chipped using the defroster may make the glass crack. He offered a lot of tips and information AND he did a fantastic job at half the price other shops in the area wanted! Polite, professional, just about the best vendor I've ever used. I would strongly recommend him to anyone. He will come to your home or office and works on ANY kind of auto glass. If you need a new windshield - anywhere from Harrisonburg to Lake Monticello, call him. He works his way over from the mountain every day and has customers around Virginia. He has one other guy working with him, and offers, I swear, 24 hour turnaround. Call one day and he'll schedule you next day or within 72-hours.

However, the windshield began leaking water on one side recently so I called and asked if they could take a look. The person I spoke with seemed put out that I called but after brief discussion stated they could test it Thursday after 4 and to just come by as no appointment was needed. I went by as planned and the door was locked. After calling both numbers I reached an employee who said they "left for a while" and someone would probably be back soon, about 10-20 minutes. I agreed to sit and wait. Multiple employees did return after almost 30 minutes but no one spoke or acknowledged I was there and the door remained locked. After several more minutes I left. As of now, even after leaving a voicemail with my number, I have not heard back. I got the distinct impression they were purposely avoiding checking my windshield for issues that might be their workmanship. I'm not sure what happened but I was really disappointed because the original experience was very good. I guess if you have work done that develops an issue it would be best not to expect to receive the same good treatment as when the work is originally done.

After rudely taking the part I was trying to purchase I was told "I'll be back in 15 minutes " he then returned and told me the part number but didn't offer any assistance in finding it. He then went back to his phone and I was left trying to find the proper part on my own. The information I was given ended up being the wrong part and when I got home to install it it didn't fit. After that I returned the wrong part then drove down to O'Reillys auto parts where I was greeted with a friendly and helpful staff. I was shown great customer service. I usually use Advanced Auto parts but I believe from now on I will be passing them up and driving the extra few seconds down the street for my auto parts needs.

I had a great experience here! Couldn't figure out why my car kept failing to start (2 times in 2…read moreweeks I had to get it jumped) and went over to AAP to see if I needed the battery replaced. I walked in and asked if the battery could be tested and explained my situation as my knowledge of cars/car parts is very limited. After a younger man came out with me and tested my battery, he told me the battery was fine but one of the connections to the battery was incredibly lose. He told me exactly which part to buy and even went through the store and picked it out($5), checked me out, and installed the part for no charge! My car has been working great ever since. I bought a 2016 Infiniti QX50 online through a CarMax located in Omaha Nebraska and I was willing to wait patiently with much excitement till it arrived at the CarMax of Harrisonburg, Virginia. I got the call it was in, but I wasn't able to come for a few days due to my work hours and to be sure I have transportation if I decided to purchase the vehicle. I was able to finally schedule an appointment to drive and look the car over; of course it was everything I expected it to be so I decided to move forward with the purchase. Within the first few days after getting home I noticed the tires were a little noisy when I began to pick up speed, which seemed a little unusual. Then about five days later I attempted to play a CD and realized the CD player wasn't working correctly. I called CarMax and they scheduled my vehicle and took care of everything with no worries. Two weeks later the oil light kept appearing on the dash and I again contacted CarMax with concern and they took care of everything. The sales manager and service department were apologetic for all the inconveniences since my purchase of the Infiniti. I appreciate those who took care of servicing and repairing the issues.
